Chris Pratt’s secret man crush

Chris Pratt has a "secret man crush" on Tim McGraw.

The 38-year-old actor – who recently split from his wife and fellow actress Anna Faris, with whom he has five-year-old son Jack – has joked he has the hots for country singer.

During a game of ‘Ellen’s Burning Questions’ as part of Ellen Degeneres’ new YouTube channel entitled ‘Ellen’s Show Me More Show’, Chris was asked who his secret man crush is.

And the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star wasted no time in replying: "Tim McGraw."

But Chris might not have the best luck when it comes to picking up the hunky musician, 50, for a date, as his favourite pick up line left a lot to be desired.

When asked what his go to line would be, the ‘Jurassic World’ star hesitated before answering: "Er … You like money?"

That wasn’t the only insight into his love life that Chris shared either, as when asked to give a movie title that described his love life, the star opted for 1995 comedy ‘Operation Dumbo Drop’.

Chris gave no further information on how the feature relates to his love life, but the movie tells the story of a group of soldiers who get a village elephant killed by accident, and must embark on a mission to find another of the giant mammals in time for the village’s spiritual event.

Meanwhile, it’s not just Chris Pratt who’s been dishing on his man crush recently, as fellow Marvel superhero Chris Hemsworth admitted he was "shaken" after meeting the "charismatic" Pratt on the set of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

Asked when the last time he felt intimidated by another man was, Hemsworth, 34, said: "The first time I really met Chris Pratt – and went on set with him and the Guardians – I was weirdly shaken. I don’t know why. He’s just so charismatic. And good at what he does."

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris in ‘couples therapy’

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are in "couples therapy".

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star and the ‘Mom’ actress are reportedly undergoing couple counselling in the wake of the divorce in order to help them best co-parent their five-year-old son Jack in the future.

A source said: "They are going through couples counseling now, which is what you do when you want to divorce and there are children involved. It won’t likely change the status but it could help with their future coparenting.

"Their work separations have taken a toll, and it is not likely that the marriage can be repaired enough to work right now. But there is still love between them."

And with Chris set to travel around the world soon to promote his upcoming movies, any chance of a reunion has been greatly reduced.

Another insider added to Us Weekly magazine: "Chris is in demand now and will continue to be traveling all over the world, keeping them apart. That doesn’t make young marriages fare well."

Meanwhile, Anna’s co-star previously revealed the blonde beauty is keeping "a smile on her face" amidst the split.

Alison Janney shared: "She’s fantastic. She’s a professional. It’s hard to do but she’s coming to work with a smile on her face and knows her lines and is as professional as ever. Everyone there loves and supports her, and we’re just surrounding her with love. She’s getting her work done. She’s great."

When the pair announced they were going their separate ways, they released a joint statement insisting they would stay civil for the sake of their son.

They said at the time: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Alanis Morissette doesn’t read Internet comments

Alanis Morissette "can’t read comments" about herself on the Internet.

The 43-year-old musician has been in the spotlight for over two decades, but that doesn’t mean she’s grown used to reading what people have to say about her, as she says she doesn’t take note of Internet comments, and says only "20 percent" of what she does read is constructive for her.

She said: "You can’t read comments. I haven’t read comments in about 20 years. I think it’s 80/20. 80 percent of what people say is just projection and 20 percent maybe there’s something for me to get from it. But I don’t … I just get feedback from people I’m really close to who will say things like ‘What are you doing?’"

The ‘Ironic’ hitmaker was speaking to Anna Faris on her podcast ‘Anna Faris Is Unqualified’ when she made the comments, and the actress agreed that being "observed" by people is "crazy".

In the episode – which was recorded prior to Anna’s high profile split from Chris Pratt earlier this month, and broadcast on Tuesday (08.29.17) – Anna said: "It’s crazy … getting observed all the time."

To which Alanis added: "Especially when the observation is you’re not Mother Mary … ‘oh look at what a great job you’re doing with a child.’"

Despite not taking note of what other people say on social media, the ‘You Oughta Know’ singer previously revealed she "gets a sense of self" from looking at her own Instagram page.

Speaking in January last year, Alanis said: "I’ve always had a little of a blind spot around how I am perceived. But there’s uniformity now. This may be a crass way of understanding it, but there’s something about even looking at my own Instagram, looking at my blog, where I’m getting a sense of self that I never had."

Anna Faris was ‘very sad’ before Chris Pratt split

Anna Faris was left "very sad" by Chris Pratt’s hectic work schedule.

The 40-year-old actress and her ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star beau – with whom she has four-year-old son Jack – were married for eight years before announcing they would be legally separating earlier this month, and it has now been revealed she was left disheartened when Chris’ schedule left him away from their family home.

A source told People magazine: "He was gone for a great deal of time, one movie after another. It made her very sad. They really didn’t have a roadmap for what this would all be like. They are both fun-loving and gregarious types, but she had much difficulty with the separation."

The comments come after it was previously reported that 38-year-old Chris’ fame caused a rift between the pair.

An insider said: "Chris became this huge movie star and Anna wasn’t getting any big jobs. She was the more famous and sexy one at the start of their relationship and then things took a turn."

And the couple’s competitive streak reportedly didn’t stop with their careers either, as the stars – who are both known for their comedic on-screen roles – are said to have often battled one another for the "funniest joke" accolade in social situations.

The source added: "When they’re in a big group, they each want to be the one telling the funniest joke."

In similar statements posted on their social media accounts earlier this month, the pair admitted they were "really disappointed" about the breakdown of their marriage, and insisted they "tried hard" to make it work.

Chris wrote on Facebook: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Anna Faris implies Chris Pratt didn’t have her back

Anna Faris has implied her estranged husband Chris Pratt didn’t have her back.

The ‘What’s Your Number?’ star shocked the world earlier this week when she announced that she and her spouse, with whom she has four-year-old son Jack, had decided to go their separate ways following eight years of marriage.

And, although they’ve worked hard to make their relationship work, the 40-year-old star has hinted that they decided to call it quits because she wanted her "independence."

Speaking in the podcast ‘My Favourite Murder’ on Tuesday (15.08.17), she said in response to a caller who phoned in for some advice about her boyfriend and his friend.

Anna replied: "Know your worth, know your independence, know you’re young.

"There are so many people out there, there’s so much life experience, I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people.

"Life is too short for you to to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t value you in every way.

"Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right. I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence. There are so many people out there, there’s so much life experience, I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people."

Anna and Chris, 38, announced the sad news of their impending divorce earlier this month in a joint statement posted to their social media sites.

The version of the statement posted to Chris’ Facebook page read: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard: We go to couple’s therapy

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard go to couple’s therapy.

The ‘Frozen’ star has been married to the ‘Parenthood’ actor for four years and admitted they always try to rationally discuss any issues they’re having rather than resort to a full-blown argument.

She said: "We go to couple’s therapy. We make sure that we’re talking with respect to each other. When we sit down to have a disagreement it’s a disagreement, not an argument."

Kristen insists she will remember the good times in their marriage if the pair ever get divorced, and advised fans of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris – who announced their split on Sunday (06.08.17) after eight years of marriage – to recall the positive moments between the couple.

She said: "I think there’s a little bit of lack of acknowledgment about really loving something that was. If there are two people that decide not to be together, it shouldn’t really be a heartbreak for everyone."

"You should say, ‘Oh, they tried. But that doesn’t discount the lovely years they had together.’

"If I ever get divorced, I’m still going to be like, ‘Wow, I loved being married to that man.’ "

While some speculation has suggested Chris and Anna’s split was partly due to him not wanting any more kids at the moment because of his Hollywood filming commitments, Kristen thinks shooting any movie away from home is tough when you are in a relationship.

She added to E!: "I don’t necessarily know that it’s ‘Hollywood’ that gets in the way.

"The reality is when you’re working in this industry you’re sometimes shooting a movie in China for four months. You’re away from your family for four months.

"I think it’s more the separation than anything that can weigh on people."

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris still live together

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are "still living" together following their split.

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star and his actress wife – who have four-year-old son Jack together – announced earlier this week they would be legally separating after eight years of marriage, and close pal Patti Stanger has now said she’s "praying" the pair will change their minds as they’re still living under the same roof.

The ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ star said: "OK, so this is really hard because I’m close to them. I’m upset about it. The day it happened I actually texted them. I don’t know what happened there, [Chris] is still living in the house. Let’s pray it turns around."

And Patti wants nothing more than to see Chris, 38, and Anna, 40, "get back together", and has even offered to "be the counsellor" for the pair.

She added: "I want them to get back together. So, I’m not fixing them up – I would just be the counsellor between them and go, ‘What really is the issue here?’ Because she’s living in the house, so someone threw out the curveball, maybe the publicist, I don’t know who … you just don’t really say something when they’re [still] living in the house [together]."

The 56-year-old businesswoman believes there’s "still hope" for the pair rekindling their romance whilst the ‘Jurassic World’ star is living with his estranged beau, as it indicates there’s "still love" between them.

She said: "If [Pratt]’s still in the house, there’s hope. If the person doesn’t leave the house, there’s a lot of hope there. That means they still love each other. Because they’re not poor … they could go get a condo, Airbnb it. It’s just that they don’t want to leave each other. There’s a lot of best friend factor there. They’re very close as BFFs."

Despite being friends with the couple, Patti found out the news through the ‘Scream’ star’s Instagram post in which she confirmed the split, and said she was hesitant to reach out for fear of "bombarding" the stars.

Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said: "I was actually on my Instagram reading, I was watching someone, and [Anna’s post] just popped up. I’m talking to Sim [Sarna], who is like her right hand and best friend, and I gave her – I don’t wanna bombard [Anna], but I do want them to know … anything they need from me, I’m there for them. I just love [them] both and I just pray that it’s going to work out."

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris ‘were very competitive’

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were "very competitive" with each other during their relationship.

The Hollywood duo – who have a four-year-old son called Jack together – recently announced they are set to divorce and an insider has claimed their desire to be seen as the funniest in their relationship was one of the reasons behind the shock split.

The source said: "They’re very competitive with each other. At parties they compete over who’s funniest and get insecure if they’re not."

Chris’ soaring reputation in the movie industry also played a part in their separation, with the 38-year-old actor having starred in a string of big-budget movies over recent years, including ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.

The insider told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: "When he started getting big roles and losing weight, she wasn’t the big star anymore.

"He’s also very, very religious, and she’s not religious."

Earlier this week, another source claimed that Chris’ ever-increasing popularity became a source of tension between the pair.

The insider explained: "Chris became this huge movie star and Anna wasn’t getting any big jobs. She was the more famous and sexy one at the start of their relationship and then things took a turn."

Despite this, Chris said in a statement on Facebook that he and Anna still retain a "love for each other".

He wrote: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris ‘shocked’ pals with their split

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris "shocked" their friends when they announced their split.

The couple – who share four-year-old son Jack -called time on their romance after eight years of marriage and their pals didn’t even realise anything was wrong between the two.

A source said: "It’s just insane. Anna and Chris were so in love."

Talking about the rumours Chris could have cheated on Anna, the insider added to Entertainment Tonight: "It isn’t true. Chris wanted Anna on [set with him] whenever possible. He never wanted her to have a reason to worry."

Chris and Anna announced they were "legally separating" in posts on their social media on Sunday evening (06.08.17).

In a statement posted on Chris’ Facebook page, he said: "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

Only a few months ago, Chris was gushing about his wife Anna.

Speaking back in late April at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony, he said: "I want to thank my wife Anna, I love you. You’ve given me so much. You gave me the greatest star in the galaxy in my little boy, I love him and I love you.

"We have bonded to make this molecule that is more important to me than air or water, and without it none of this means anything to me. With every challenge, with every day, week, month, decade, we become more bonded."

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris ‘split over differing views on family’

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris split after reportedly disagreeing over wanting more kids.

The ‘Scream’ star is said to have been keen to extend their family, but the ‘Jurassic World’ actor – who shares four-year-old son Jack with the blonde beauty – is not believed to want another child for the foreseeable future.

Sources told gossip website TMZ that Anna wants a traditional family base in Los Angeles, but Chris is having to jet all over the world for movie commitments and doesn’t think he can juggle having a growing family with his work.

The couple announced on Sunday (06.08.17) they have split after eight years of marriage, but they are determined to be devoted parents to their son.

Insiders also revealed the pair have set about planning their divorce but have an amicable relationship, with both the 40-year-old actress and the 38-year-old star said to be "incredibly sad" about their break up.

In similar statements posted on their social media accounts on Sunday, the pair admitted they were "really disappointed" about the breakdown of their marriage, and insisted they "tried hard" to make it work.

It comes after Chris praised Anna in April at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony.

He said: "I want to thank my wife Anna, I love you. You’ve given me so much. You gave me the greatest star in the galaxy in my little boy, I love him and I love you.

"We have bonded to make this molecule that is more important to me than air or water, and without it none of this means anything to me. With every challenge, with every day, week, month, decade, we become more bonded."
