Chris Pratt’s sad songs

Chris Pratt likes to "wallow in his sorrow".

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actor is a big fan of country music and particularly enjoys listening to sad songs when he’s away working and missing his wife Anna Faris and their son Jack, four.

He said: "I like a good story and also to wallow in my sorrow sometimes.

"I travel a lot and if I’m missing my wife and son, I’ll listen to a little bit of Chris Stapleton, Emmylou Harris, some good sad country music.

"It helps me sit down and have a nice cry… I don’t really sit and cry but I like a good story.

"I’ve also been listening to a band called Needtobreathe a lot lately, probably more than anything else. I listen to them when I run."

The 37-year-old actor works hard to retain his toned physique with body conditioning, cardio, hot yoga and circuit training, but likes to relax his regime and have a little fun if he knows he’s got a break from making movies.

He said: "It’s all about having an understanding of how long it will take to get into that peak shape.

"When I’m not working, I’ll have a little more fun and be less strict, and then when it comes to it I give myself ample amounts of time to get there."

But that doesn’t mean Chris enjoys all the exercise he does.

He admitted: "[I dread] burpees. They suck. They’re what we in the States call a d**k-dragger."

The ‘Jurassic World’ actor has been working a lot in the UK lately, and is gearing up for a lengthy stint watching popular British reality TV shows when his family come to visit.

He told Glamour magazine: "Qs soon as Anna wraps her TV show, she and Jack are coming to stay.

"When that happens, I assure you it will take no more than 24 hours before we’ve got a cycle of British reality TV playing, because she’ll be on it."

Daisy Ridley won’t spill Star Wars secrets

Daisy Ridley won’t spill any secrets about ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.

The 24-year-old actress reprises her role as Rey in the upcoming seventh installment of the ‘Star Wars’ franchise, and despite her ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ co-star Josh Gad’s best attempts to squeeze information out of her, the brunette beauty is keeping her lips sealed when it comes to spoilers.

Taking to his Instagram on Monday (02.20.17), Gad, 35, filmed a video in which he apologized to the star for hounding her about the movie, before turning the camera on a host of celebrities who all had their own questions to ask.

Gad says in the video: "Daisy I just wanted to apologize for everything that has happened."

To which Ridley replies: "Please don’t tell me you’re setting me up this time."

Gad then says: "I’m not, I’m not. Come on in, I have no more questions. I have no more questions, but they do."

The camera then pans to stars such as Leslie Odom Jr., Colin Trevorrow, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Penelope Cruz, Lucy Boynton, Tom Bateman, and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ director J.J. Abrams, who all begin to bombard her with questions.

Odom asks: "How many musical numbers are there?"

Howard says: "Do the heels of your boots ever get stuck in the grates of the Millennium Falcon?"

Cruz then asks her question in Spanish, before Boynton translates and says: "I have a question also. What is the actual size of Supreme Leader Snoke, leader of the First Order?"

Bateman asks: "Are we going to find out any more about the identities of the storm troopers?"

And to close the video, Abrams joking pleads with Daisy when he asks: "Does Luke [Skywalker] finally get to say any lines in Episode VIII? Please tell me Daisy."

Ridley barely manages to keep a straight face at the end of the video, but refrains from spilling any secrets about the movie.

Chris Pratt practised sex scene with Anna Faris for ’10 years’

Chris Pratt has joked his sex scene with wife Anna Faris in ‘Mom!’ was easy because they’ve been rehearsing it for "10 years".

The 37-year-old hunk – who met the blonde bombshell on the set of ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ in 2007 – quipped that he was well prepared for his cameo in the actress’ CBS comedy TV series because they’ve had so much practice between the sheets.

Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, he said: "We get to have this really nice relationship. We have a sex scene, like a sexy scene. We’ve been rehearsing that for 10 years. This is the most fun I think I’ve ever had on a set. It’s really nice to see your spouse in their work environment. Well, I don’t know if it is for everyone. It is for me ’cause my wife is Anna Faris."

The couple got married in 2009 and have four-year-old son Jack together and Chris thinks the secret to their happy relationship is leaving his 40-year-old spouse to stew after an argument.

He said recently: "I have heard some people say, ‘Don’t go to bed mad.’ I think that is garbage. Sometimes you’ve got to go to bed mad, but at least touch toes, you know what I mean? At least touch toes. ‘We will deal with it later. I think I am going to get some sleep,’ and touch toes."

Chris and Anna are so besotted with each other that their working relationship and personal romance has become the envy of their close friends and co-stars.

Jennifer Lawrence – who starred alongside Chris in ‘The Passengers’ – said: "Oh my God, they’re so cute. And his son is a genius, and Anna is nice and hilarious. And they’re, like, in love, they look like a Nicholas Sparks novel. You know when you see people who are so happy, it just makes you miserable!"

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris to celebrate Christmas on the beach

Chris Pratt will celebrate Christmas on the beach with his family.

The 37-year-old hunk and his wife Anna Faris are planning to spend the festive season in their bathing suits under the sun with their four-year-old son Jack in Los Angeles.

He shared: "[We] will have a sandy, beautiful, tropical blue Christmas."

And the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actor is determined to make sure his son understands the true meaning of Christmas – like his own parents Kathy and Daniel Pratt did for him.

Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he explained: "When I was a kid, we didn’t have a whole lot. My parents really played the long game one Christmas, letting us know we just weren’t going to be able to get anything for Christmas – we didn’t have the money. We all knew that. We just got to the point: don’t ask for things. And when we came down on Christmas morning, we got everything. I got a mountain bike, a bow and arrow, a microscope – all the things I had wanted. They had kept the presents from us and let us think for months we wouldn’t be having a good Christmas. I think they just saved up, maybe they donated blood or something. It makes me choke up thinking about it."

Chris is no doubt looking forward to spoiling his wife – whom he married in 2006 – this year as he’s recently rediscovered all the things that made him fall in love with her.

He said: "When I recently shot an episode of ‘Mom’ on CBS, which is my wife’s sitcom, that was really fantastic. It’s nice, you know, when you’ve been with someone for years, to see them in a different kind of working an social environment.

"You get to see a side of someone you don’t always see. I got to rediscover things about her that made me love her. We fell in love on a film set and it was nice to see her on a set and how much everyone loves her, how nice she is to everybody. On top of her talent, she’d very much a good person."

Jennifer Lawrence loves being ‘hands on’ over Christmas

Jennifer Lawrence loves being "hands on" over Christmas.

The 26-year-old actress has been able to throw herself wholeheartedly into the festive season, because she has a "bomb-ass wallet" to fund her spending spree in Toys ‘R’ Us for the children in her family.

The blonde beauty said: "I actually like to be hands on and go into Toys ‘R’ Us because I have like, kind of a bomb-ass wallet now and I didn’t when I used to go into Toys ‘R’ Us.

"I’d be like, ‘Spongy, stretchy keychain’ and now I’m like, ‘They want that!’ I have fun doing that now."

And ‘The Hunger Games’ star – who plays the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in the fantasy films – has revealed she gets "excited" about buying children’s presents.

She told E! News: "[I] always gets excited about getting the kids’ stuff."

Although Jennifer has admitted she is enthusiastic about shopping for presents for the little ones in her family, the actress has revealed she has grown close enough to her ‘Passengers’ co-star Chris Pratt to know the best gifts to give him this year.

Speaking about the items she thinks will be on the 37-year-old actor’s Christmas list, she said: "Anything that has to do with fishing, hunting, anything you can get from bass pro shops, he would love," she said about Pratt."

Meanwhile, Jennifer has revealed she "knew" her and Chris would bond immediately on the set of their latest science-fiction movie, and now credits him as one of her "really close friends".

She said: "If the people sucked then it would be awful because there’s nowhere to hide, there’s no one else to hang out with.

"But Pratt, I knew we would get along and we did and we became really close friends really fast and then Michael Sheen, I’ve been wanting to work with him forever. Yeah, he’s incredible and really talented and then he’s also hilarious, so that was really exciting."

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence were ‘shushed’ on Passenger set

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence were "shushed" like children on the set of ‘Passengers’.

The 37-year-old actor and his 26-year-old co-star have admitted they took turns pranking each other whilst filming and promoting their new movie, but the fair-haired hunk has hinted he found it harder to stay serious in comparison to Jennifer, whilst shooting scenes for the science fiction film, and was often told to stop the gags.

He told PEOPLE: "Every once in a while we had to be shushed. We had a lot of fun. We were laughing a lot. She’s [Jennifer] better at switching immediately from goofball mode into serious acting mode, so sometimes I had to kind of shut it down and kind of go inward to get there.

"She just kind of turns it on and off real quick. So yeah, we got in a little trouble – but not too much."

The blonde beauty – who plays the role of Aurora Dunn in the romantic thriller – has admitted director Morten Tyldum wasn’t amused by the duos antics and thinks her and Chris "got in the way".

The ‘The Hunger Games’ star explained: "Yeah, that happened a lot, we were all in this together trying to finish this movie, and then we turn Morten into the principal [on the schoolyard]. But yeah. We probably got in the way a couple times."

However, the 49-year-old creative mastermind has admitted he wasn’t annoyed by his cast because he claims their humour brought balance and "lightness" to the production.

He explained: "There’s a lot of big emotional scenes there, and I think to have that levity, to have that playfulness … You can’t be a whole day and go into a day like ‘Today I’m going to hate you,’ and ‘Today I’m going to have a breakdown.’ You can’t go around in that dark cloud all day, so they need this lightness, to have this fun.

"I was the serious one, and they were the funny ones."

Anna Faris sides with Jennifer Lawrence over Chris Pratt prank war

Anna Faris is taking Jennifer Lawrence’s side in her ongoing prank war with Chris Pratt.

The 40-year-old actress might be married to the ‘Jurassic World’ star, but that doesn’t mean she agrees with him on everything as she recently admitted she was standing with 26-year-old Jennifer in the pair’s ongoing fun and games.

Chris, 37, started the fake feud when he began cropping his ‘Passengers’ co-star out of his Instagram selfies, and the blonde beauty got revenge when she appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ and vandalised a bus adorned with their movie poster by spray painting over Chris’ face.

Asked by Entertainment Tonight how she feels about the vandalism at the Los Angeles premiere of the sci-fi movie on Wednesday (14.12.16), Anna said: "I fully support Jennifer Lawrence. I am all for it. I adore her!"

Whilst Chris responded: "I can’t believe you’re Team Jen. That sucks. I need some support, I thought you’d back me up."

Meanwhile, Jennifer admitted she hadn’t seen Chris since the bus prank, and had no idea if he was "mad" or not.

She said: "There’s a big feud going on. We’re having a huge huge huge fight. I was really excited when we did that on Kimmel. I was like ‘We’ve got to pay him back’. I haven’t seen Chris yet, maybe he’s mad I don’t know."

Chris joked: "I saw it (the stunt), and shots fired. It’s not over. This is a premiere, but the movie doesn’t open for a few days. We still have some press tour left and she’s gonna get it.

"We came up with a couple [ideas], we’re not gonna tell you though. It’s gonna get real… We can’t tell you because you’ll run and tell her, I know who you work for!"

And whilst Anna may not be sticking up for her husband – with whom she shares four-year-old son Jack – in his prank war, she still gushed over his achievements in the movie.

She said: "It’s so great and I’m so beyond proud and I’m thrilled to be here with him and by his side. I just can’t believe my sweet husband is a movie star."
