Alleged Pixel Fold shown off in short clip

Much like the years, the leaks start comin’ and they don’t stop comin’ — a video of an alleged Pixel Fold has now emerged, capping off a week’s worth of wild leaks.

Reliable leaker Kuba Wojciechowski shared a short clip on what is supposedly the Pixel Fold. The clip shows the phone’s internal, foldable display, but the content is blurred out. Then the person holding the phone closes it, briefly showing the external front display, before opening the phone again.

Unfortunately, that’s the extent of what we see in the clip and there’s not much to visually identify the device as the Pixel Fold. The clip could just as easily show some prototype foldable from Samsung. But Wojciechowski says it’s the Fold and he told The Verge that the only information he can say on the record is that the clip he posted is over a month old.

That said, the device in Wojciechowski’s clip closely resembles many of the Pixel Fold renders we’ve seen over the last few days and weeks. Plus, after watching the clip more times than I’d like to admit, I think I can see the edge of the rear camera bump.

Is that a camera bar I see?

We’ve recently learned a ton about the Pixel Fold ahead of its rumoured reveal at Google’s I/O conference next month. Rumour has it Google plans to launch the Pixel Fold at I/O on May 10th and open pre-orders that day, with availability in late June. The Pixel Fold’s potential specs leaked and a report based on internal Google communications revealed the company thinks the Pixel Fold has the “most durable hinge on a foldable.”

Rita Ora and Charli XCX cheat death in Barbie crash

Rita Ora and Charli XCX cheated death when they crashed their Barbie truck.

The ‘Break the Rules’ hitmaker – whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison – has revealed she came close to killing herself and the 24-year-old singer when they were involved in a collision in a ”death trap” pink motor in the desert while filming the video for new single ‘Doing It’.

She said: ”I nearly killed both of us on the set by crashing this Barbie truck into the middle of the desert.

”There were no air bags. It was this old truck. It was a death trap! But we made it out alive and the video is so great and is dropping this week.”

While the pair both avoided death, surviving without serious injury, Charli, 22, is confident Rita will ”kill it” in her big screen debut in next month’s ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ movie, in which she plays titular character Christian Grey’s (Jamie Dornan) adopted sister Mia.

She added to Metro newspaper: ”She is going to kill it. On the [‘Doing It’] set we had to do one bit of acting and I was freaking out, like, ‘I don’t know how to do this,’ but every time she was killing it.

”She is great and I think she’s going to be wonderful.”

Rita’s song ‘Grateful’ from the romantic/drama film ‘Beyond the Lights’ picked up an Oscar nomination – which was technically awarded to writer Diane Warren – and whether the tune triumphs or not at the Academy Awards the blonde stunner is in for a big night as she has signed up to perform at the ceremony.

Duran Duran premieres 9-minute Girl Panic! music video

Duran Duran has just released their latest music video, an elaborate production of almost 10 minutes for Girl Panic! featuring legendary supermodels from the 1980s.

The band formed about the same time music videos were invented, and they were one of the first groups to make the most of the new medium. So it’s not surprising they chose music video maestro Jonas Akerlund to film their latest video. Akerlund is known for his work with Lady Gaga and Madonna, and recently won the icon award at the U.K. Music Video Awards.

The action takes place at the prestigious Savoy Hotel in London and members of Duran Duran play a secondary role to the supermodels who are standing in for them.

Lead singer Simon Le Bon is played by Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen is drummer Roger Taylor, Eva Herzigova is keyboardist Nick Rhodes, Cindy Crawford represents bassist John Taylor, while Yasmin Le Bon, the singer’s wife, represents “the anonymous guitarist.”

Not only is the video promoting the song, but there’s a rather shameless plug for a certain crystal manufacturer. Oh dear, the band boasts they were first to use supermodels in their videos, so could overt product placement be their newest achievement?

Girl Panic! is a single from the group’s thirteenth studio album All You Need is Now, released in December of last year.

New Justin Bieber animated holiday music video

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has just premiered a new video for Santa Claus is Coming to Town from his new Christmas album, reports Hit Fix.

The jazzy, R&B take on this Christmas classic is set to an animated music video that pays tribute to the stop motion animated holiday television classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, broadcast every year since 1964.

The song will be featured on the soundtrack of another animated movie, Arthur Christmas, due in theaters on November 23.

This is the second single, after Mistletoe, from Bieber’s debut holiday album Under the Mistletoe, which launched last week, on November 1, and has just entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 1.

True Beliebers who are disappointed not to see their idol in the flesh, can rest assured that another non-animated video is on its way.

Bieber, who recently formed Believe Charity Drive, announced that part of the sales from Under the Mistletoe will go to several charities.

Darren Aronofsky to direct Lou Reed-Metallica song

The unlikely collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica – the album Lulu – is getting its first music video, helmed by Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, reports HitFix.

Aronofsky will direct the new clip for the track Iced Honey, which is set to be filmed in the Bay area of San Francisco, and released later this month. Cameraman Matthew Libatique, a long-time collaborator of Aronofsky’s, will join the production as the director of photography.

"As if making a record with Lou Reed is not enough, now I get to make a video with Darren Aronofsky, who has been among my very favorite filmmakers since his first movie, ‘Pi,’" said Metallica’s drummer Lars Ulrich.

Released earlier this week, Lulu contains songs written by Reed for a musical – but now given the Metallica heavy metal treatment. The album – which Reed says is "the best music I have ever done" – was inspired by German playwright Frank Wedekind, the creative genius behind Spring Awakening.

New Rihanna video premieres online

Last week, after launching the debut single We Found Love featuring Calvin Harris from her upcoming album Talk That Talk, pop star Rihanna has premiered the video online.

The male lead, model/boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy resembles Rihanna’s violent ex Chris Brown, who was convicted of assaulting the singer in 2009 on their way to the Grammy Awards.

In less than five minutes, the video takes the viewer through the ups and downs of an entire relationship, from flirting at a skate park, to drug-fueled sexual encounters, to shoplifting, to a terrible fight in a car, and even a homemade tattoo.

Shot in Belfast, Ireland, in just three days prior the start of the European leg of her Loud tour, the singer chats to the camera in a behind-the-scenes video posted on the singer’s official website.

She discusses the video, which appears to pays homage to Darren Aronofsky’s film Requiem for a Dream.

“We’ve never done a video like this. It’s super fun,” Rihanna said. “Actually, it’s probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done.”

“It’s all about love – and love being like a drug – and you definitely get that from this: the good feeling of it and the dangers of it…that’s what this video is about.”

The album scheduled for release on November 21.

David Guetta unveils new video featuring Usher

French electronica and house musician David Guetta has unveiled the music video for his new single, Without You, featuring Usher, reports HitFix.

The video shows several concerts taking place simultaneously around the world, including parties in the U.S., Africa and Thailand, among others. The gentle but driving beat of Guetta’s track has everyone up dancing, and as they jump up and down, combined with the music’s thumping bass, the video shows the continents starting to shift.

Brought together by music, the continents join into one single landmass, and the concert-goers all converge for one massive party. Usher, who has been singing alone on a beach, now finds himself in the middle of the party, and joins Guetta on stage.

The video is now streaming online. The track – which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 – can be found on Guetta’s 2011 album Nothing But the Beat.

Beyoncé debuts new video for Love on Top

On August 28, during her MTV Video Music Awards performance, pop star Beyonce dropped her microphone at the end of the song, opened her jacket to reveal to the world that she was expecting her first child.

With the baby due in February, she seems to be trying to accomplish as much as possible before her maternity leave. The video for Love on Top debuted Saturday, less than two weeks after the video premiere of Countdown.

The song is the latest single from her album 4, and inspired by Etta James, whom the singer portrayed in the movie Cadillac Records.

“When I played Etta James it was the most I’d learned about myself until the recording of this album. When I went into the studio I used the same passion, honesty, and approach with my vocals I channeled as Etta James. It does not sound like the vocals on my past albums. It’s a lot rawer. It comes from a deep place.”

The singer posted the following statement to her official website: “I am excited to give my Australian fans the World Premiere of “Love On Top”!

The video was inspired by the 1980s music video If It Isn’t Love by American band New Edition.

“…I remember seeing videos from New Edition, The Jackson 5 and the Temptations, bands I love for their beautiful harmonies, and precise choreography and I always wanted to make a video and be part of a boy group myself,” she revealed.

New Britney Spears video to debut next week

Pop star Britney Spears will debut the music video for her new single, Criminal, sometime next week, reports MTV.

"Just saw the final cut of the ‘Criminal’ video… It’s so hot. Can’t wait for you guys to see it next week," Spears wrote yesterday (October 13). The exact date of the video premiere has yet to be announced.

Details have been scarce about the new clip. "Not a whole lot i’m allowed to say about the @britneyspears criminal vid other than that i love this video and can’t wait for it to come out," video director Chris Marrs Piliero Tweeted earlier this month. "Oh and that she looks gorgeous in it… pretty sure it’s cool for me to say that…"

Even though it has yet to air, the video has already been a source of controversy. Officials in London, where the clip was filmed, accused Spears of sensationalizing the violence of the recent riots after she was spotted running around a badly afflicted neighborhood with a prop gun.

"The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened," Spears’ representatives explained in a statement.
