Jennifer Lawrence screamed at Daniel Radcliffe

Jennifer Lawrence screamed at Daniel Radcliffe when she first met him because she was so excited.

‘The Hunger Games’ actress is a huge fan of the Harry Potter books and films and couldn’t contain her excitement when she met the actor – who played the titular wizard.

Speaking about the things she was interested in when she was younger on NBC’s ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’, she said: ”I read ‘Harry Potter’ three times. *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, but it all changes when you get older. You meet everyone and you’re like, ‘Oh, we’re all adults now’. It’s not the same as in the ’90s.”

But when asked if it ”wasn’t a big deal” when she met Daniel when she was older, she admitted she got star-struck.

She said, ”No! I screamed at him the first time that I met him”, before joking: ”Not like yelled at him, ‘You son of a … I never got my letter! I waited and waited.’ ”

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old actress also admitted she uses interviews to get revenge on her two older brothers Ben and Blaine for being mean to her when she was younger.

She said: ”I don’t really care, genuinely, because it’s karma. I was the little sister, there was nothing I could do, they threw me downstairs, I thought I was gonna die, every day. Then I turned out to be famous and talked about it on talk shows. It’s perfect karma for me, I don’t feel bad about that.”

Daniel Radcliffe ‘could return’ as Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe is open to reprising his role as Harry Potter.

The 24-year-old actor who was catapulted to the spotlight for his role as the beloved wizard boy in the adaptation of J. K. Rowling’s popular children’s book is not going to rule out a spot in the author’s highly anticipated film titled ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, which is an original story based on the adventures of Newt Scamander.

Daniel told hollywoodreporter.com: ”He [Harry] could return if time travel rears its head again. I’ll be intrigued to see what she does.”

The star insists that he doesn’t know what the author’s plans for the movie are but is eager to find out what more about the film which J. K. Rowling has previously described as ”neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world.”

He said: ”I don’t think I’m going to be coming back … we can’t be doing these characters when we’re 40, so there has to be a line drawn.

”Because I never know what Jo [Rowling] is going to write, but at the moment I’m in the same position that everyone else is in — waiting to hear what information is coming out because I don’t know anything about these new films.”

The best-selling author is making her screenwriting debut with a series of movies loosely based on her world-famous franchise about the teenage wizard and his battle against the Dark Lord.

She previously said: ”The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway.”

Katy Perry tells Daniel Radcliffe to call her

Katy Perry wants Daniel Radcliffe to call her.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star confessed to a crush on the ‘Roar’ hitmaker during a TV last month, and while Katy is dating singer John Mayer, she has urged her celebrity admirer to get in touch so they can be pals.

She is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: ”Oh please, this isn’t the third grade. Just ring me, Daniel. Don’t be shy, or get your people to call mine if you like.

”I am totally taken so it’s not about that. I think he’s cool and I’d really like to get to know him. We’ll all go out and party.”

Daniel, 24, opened up about his crush on Katy in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, but admits he was too shy to talk to her when they attended the same event.

He previously said: ”I thought I should go up and say hi and then I thought about what if she thinks you’re some teenage fan boy so I couldn’t. I said, ‘I’m not going to try, it would be embarrassing.’ ”

The 28-year-old pop star is no stranger to British charm as she was married to raunchy comedian Russell Brand between 2010 and 2011.

Meanwhile, Katy will be pleased to know that Daniel recently earned top marks for his lip-locking skills.

Dane DeHaan, who has many intimate gay love scenes with the actor in new movie ‘Kill Your Darlings’, said Daniel was a ”great kisser”.

Daniel Radcliffe filmed Harry Potter scenes whilst drunk

Daniel Radcliffe filmed scenes for ‘Harry Potter’ whilst drunk.

The 22-year-old actor – who is now teetotal – admits that he used to turn up for work on the boy-wizard franchise still feeling the effects of the night before.

He said: "I don’t want to go into details but I drank a lot and it was daily – I mean nightly. I can honestly say I never drank at work on ‘Harry Potter’. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work.

"I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes."

Daniel – who gave up drinking for good when he was just 21-years-old – explains that he decided to part ways with alcohol because he did not like the person that he was becoming.

He told the new edition of heat magazine: "I loved the fact I suddenly could talk to people and feel so entertaining and so interesting. But after a while, you’re living under such a cloud of shame about what you’ve done and the dread of who you might see, what you might have said to them, what you might have done with them.

"You either have to change something or give into that shame and I wasn’t prepared to do that at 21."

Daniel Radcliffe feels ready for kids

Daniel Radcliffe wants to have children while he is young.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actor – who is dating 22-year-old movie production assistant Rosanne Coker – explained while it would be "ridiculous" to suggest the couple were going to become parents anytime soon, he considers kids to be the "most fulfilling" part of life.

He said: "We both want the same things. But we also know it would be ridiculous anytime soon. I always wanted to have kids young, but I also thought, ‘That’s going to be hard work.’ I’ve seen a lot of friends become immeasurably happier, but very tired.

"Kids are the single greatest, most fulfilling thing I’ve seen happen to people. But we’ve got a lot of fun times ahead before that happens. I have had a lot of youthful enthusiasm left, I promise."

The 22-year-old star admitted although he doesn’t believe in "fate", he doesn’t think he will ever find another partner he is "more compatible" with than Rosanne.

Daniel added to Britain’s Glamour magazine: "We went on two dates. Dinner, cinema. And I spent the next year discovering this amazing, kind, funny tolerant person.

"I’m not a believer that there’s one person out there for everybody, I don’t believe in fate but I do think that when you find somebody who you love, and who loves you, you’ve got to cling on to them and make it work.

"I really don’t see myself looking around much more. I don’t think I’ll ever find someone more compatible than Rosie."

Daniel Radcliffe named Entertainer of the Year

Daniel Radcliffe has been named Entertainer of the Year.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star was honoured with the accolade – which was won by country singer Taylor Swift last year – by Entertainment Weekly magazine, and the publication’s editor Jess Cagle thinks awarding the gong to the 22-year-old actor made "the most sense".

He described him as "the nicest guy with one of the brightest futures in Hollywood. There’s nothing he can’t do. Ultimately there was one person who made the most sense".

Jess revealed Adele was a close runner-up for the accolade, but he praised Daniel’s ability to avoid some of the pitfalls of fame.

He added: "He’s really interested in doing the work. Despite all his wealth and fame as a teenager, he never derailed. He was never busted. Never went outside without his panties on."

Last year, Taylor became the youngest-ever star at the age of 20 to be given the honour by Entertainment Weekly, which paid tribute to the achievements of James Franco, Kanye West, Katy Perry, John Hamm, and Ben Affleck in 2010.

Daniel’s win comes after he was named the wealthiest British star under 30 by heat magazine last month after amassing almost £52 million.

The actor – who has been appearing in a Broadway production of ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’ – retained top spot in the list and his fortune increased by £6.1 million from last year’s figure thanks to his starring role as the titular character in the final two movies in the wizard franchise – ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ – Parts 1 and 2′.

Harry Potter branches out

Daniel Radcliffe may team up with Canadian funny guys Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel in the horror-comedy Jay & Seth vs. The Apocalypse.

Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel originally created Jay & Seth as a film school project. Collider.com explains how the actors "parlayed a hilarious one-minute video clip into a deal for a major motion picture. The concept for the film would remain the same: two guys who sit in their apartment while the world ends; only the length and the budget would get bigger."

The two actors approached Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe to join the cast. A source says Radcliffe is "keen to get involved." In the meantime, Radcliffe has a few jobs lined up. He begins shooting The Woman in Black in October and will hit the stage again in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying.

Radcliffe wraps up his Harry Potter role after the final two films come out. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 hits theatres on November 19 while Part 2 opens on July 15, 2011.

New trailer for last Harry Potter flick

Harry Potter fans have two more films to enjoy before the franchise wraps up. The eight films are based on seven books by J.K. Rowling who is, by the way, now one of the richest people in Britain. Talk about rags to riches…

The final instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was so long that the scriptwriter and producers started seeing double. Warner Bros. decided to extend the magic and divide the book into two films.

Harry Potter, himself, or rather the actor who plays Harry Potter, described the upcoming films. Daniel Radcliffe explained: "This is a road movie, particularly in Part One of the film."

Click here to get a sneak peak at the newly released trailer.

David Yates directed the last two films. He also sat in the director’s chair for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Part I will be released on November 15, 2010 and fans have to wait another seven months to catch the conclusion. Part II is slated for release on July 15, 2011.

Daniel Radcliffe steps outside the box

British actor Daniel Radcliffe can turn the page on his Harry Potter character now that the eighth and final film is in the can. The 20-year old has been acting in this popular franchise for half his life.

10 years is a long time to focus mainly on one character. Radcliffe is ready to move on and explore different, more mature roles.

Variety reports the actor will star in a remake of the 1930 anti-war classic All Quiet on the Western Front. It is based on the novel by German veteran Erich Maria Remarque. The original film was directed by Lewis Mileston and won the Oscar for Best Film.

Daniel Radcliffe will play Paul Baumer, a young German soldier in the trenches in France during World War I.

Screenwriter and producer Lesley Paterson explains the casting choice: "Daniel brings a vulnerability and innocence to Paul. When we realized how much he loved the script we were really excited because we know he can tap into the delicate balance between intensity and believability that is critical for this demanding role."

The remake was written by Paterson and Ian Stokell. The two are also producing the film together through their company Sliding Down Rainbows Entertainment.

Shooting won’t begin until 2012. Radcliffe has to wrap up a few prior commitments. He needs to complete his obligation to the Harry Potter franchise which means heading out on tour to promote the final film. He will also cross the pond in 2011 to take on a lead role in the Broadway play How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part I opens in theatres on November 19.
