David Beckham Creates Slipper Collection

 The two stars recently discovered that they share a passion for comfy footwear.  Snoop Dogg explained, "We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops playing soccer, we can kick back and slip on a house shoe."

 

The inspiration for the collection came from a photograph of Beckham wearing slippers.  The rapper added, "I got David a pair of slippers as a present and he took a picture of him wearing them and sent it to me. I was like, ‘They look cool!"

 

A release date for the new collection has not been announced.

Police Arrest the Wrong Man

The star of the Los Angeles Galaxy was arrested on Wednesday (December 19) while driving his Range Rover in Epping, England.

Police officers thought that the car’s driver had stolen the vehicle, and arrested the football star in order to obtain his identity and verify that he was the proper owner of the car.

Law officers at the scene were not overly zealous regarding the arrest, as Essex County has been experiencing a high volume of car burglaries.  Simon Krueger, a witness at the arrest, told The Sun, "Becks pulled into a hotel. The window came down and in 15 seconds he was gone."

David Beckham in Underwear Ads

David Beckham signed a contract to do some ads for Emporio Armani. People magazine has published a look at this ad campaign.

The advertisements were done by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, which can be seen in the February issue of Vanity Fair. People managed to get a sneak preview of these shots.

Giorgio Armani expressed, “David is truly a modern day icon in that his fame extends well beyond the realm of soccer. He represents a notion of modern masculinity: as a sports hero, husband and father. He is also a man with a great sense of style.” 

Beckham was also happy about working with Armani. He stated, “I first met Mr. Armani quite a few years ago while I was working with the England team when he designed our World Cup suit. I’ve been a big fan of his style for a long time and, through the years, my wife and I have become friends with him, so I’m happy to be working with him now.”

David Beckham Gives His Spice Girl a Gift

The Spice Girls did their first concert in Vancouver yesterday. The group has reunited and is doing a world tour. David Beckham gave his wife, Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, a bracelet just before going on stage to wish her luck.

The soccer player took a flight from New Zealand because he really wanted to be with his wife for her first concert. He surprised Posh Spice who told the Vancouver Sun, "David feels like he’s married to all five of us. I’m nervous about what he’s going to think about the show."

According to the Vancouver Province, the concert was a mix of a fashion show, disco dancing, and a street party in San Francisco.

Victoria Beckham Is Nervous

The singer will be back on stage with her former colleagues, Geri Halliwell, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Mel B, in Vancouver for the first concert of their reunion tour.

However, soccer star David Beckham will not be at the first show because his wife will be too nervous, according to FemaleFirst.  David said, "One minute Victoria is saying she wants me there and then it’s, ‘No, don’t come to the first show, as we’ll all be too nervous.’"

Beckham added, "But I think I’ll be at the show a couple of days later in San Jose and have the boys with me. And I know Victoria will ring me as soon as the first show ends."

Although David won’t be watching the first show, he will be with his wife for the entire tour.

The Transformation of Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is transforming from a wife and mother into her stage personna, Posh Spice, and it is causing a bit of chaos in her home, according to People magazine.

The star said, "David and the boys have been laughing at me because I’ve been wandering around the house listening to my iPod and practicing the routines."

Two of the couple’s three sons, Brooklyn, 8, and Romeo, 5, are old enough to understand how popular their mother is.  Beckham added, "My boys are so excited about the tour. They can’t wait and I’m really looking forward to them seeing me up on stage. I just hope I don’t get over-emotional when I see them!" 

The Spice Girls will make an appearance at today’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will be televised on December 4 on CBS.

David Beckham Will Be New Face for Armani

David Beckham signed an agreement which will make him the new face for Giorgio Armani for his new ad campaign in the United States.

The football player from the Galaxy team in Los Angeles has worked with the Armani house in Europe for many years. In February, he will be the face launching the collection in the United States.

Beckham was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in Los Angeles for this new ad campaign.

David Beckham Offers Aid to California

Hollywood has been enchanted with Beckham since he arrived in Los Angeles last July.  Now, he will take on Hollywood on the soccer field.

On November 4, Beckham and his team, the Galaxy, will play against Hollywood United FC, which includes actors such as Anthony LaPaglia, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Costas Mandylor, as well as several former World Cup players.  Proceeds from the charity game will benefit those whose lives have been affected by the California wildfires.

Galaxy general manager, Alexi Lalas, said, "Our players are residents of Southern California. This is a great way through soccer for us to bring some attention and, most importantly, raise some money. And, in the process, give the people another opportunity to see the stars we have here with the Galaxy."

Bad News for David Beckham

David Beckham went to England immediately after learning that his father, Ted Beckham had had a cardiac arrest.

The soccer player, who now plays for Los Angeles dropped everything to be by his fathers bedside.

Beckham’s rep announced, "His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in [the] hospital. David is flying back to be with him. He is obviously incredibly concerned and wants to be with him." 

Beckham’s father, 59, had pains in his chest Wednesday evening, and needed to be operated on to clear his arteries.  A hospital spokesperson stated that Ted Beckham was stable, but still in intensive care.

David Beckham’s wife, Victoria was in Japan for work, but also got on a plane for England when she learned the news.

The soccer star, David Beckham, and his wife, Victoria, singer of the Spice Girls, are the most analyzed people according to Radar magazine’s top 100.

The magazine claimed that a scientific survey found them at the top of the list.  Other celebrities that are very analyzed include Oprah Winfrey, Bono and Brad Pitt.
