Whenever we’ve come up against tough times, we know each other better than anybody knows us so we talk. Do we stay together because it’s a brand? Of course not. We stay together because we love each other. We stay together because we have four amazing children. Of course we go through tough times. When we go through tough times we work through it as a unit, as a family."

Victoria Beckham posts gushing tribute to husband David Beckham

Victoria Beckham has thanked husband David Beckham and her parents for allowing her to "follow [her] dreams".

The 43-year-old fashion designer was honoured with an OBE by Prince William at Buckingham Palace in London on Wednesday (04.19.17) and has since taken to Instagram to share a gushing post about her family’s support.

Alongside a picture of her mother, her retired soccer star spouse, herself and her father, she wrote on the photo-sharing app: "I love u @davidbeckham and my wonderful parents," she wrote on Instagram on Thursday. "Thank you for always supporting and encouraging me to follow my dreams. #OBE #BuckinghamPalace X VB. (sic)"

Shortly after, the brunette beauty’s 18-year-old son Brooklyn Beckham sent his mother a well done message.

Sharing the picture of Prince William placing a brooch on Victoria, he wrote: "AMAZING. Congrats mum. You deserve it. (sic)"

The Spice Girl – who also has Cruz, 12, Harper, five, and Romeo, 14, with David – said on the day she felt "honoured and humbled" to receive the special title.

She said: "It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I’m proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge.

"If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things. I’m so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband. Without their love and support, none of this would be possible."

Victoria Beckham takes swipe at Kardashians

Victoria Beckham doesn’t think the Kardashians are "inspiring".

The 43-year-old fashion designer hopes her daughter Harper, five, will grow up to favor a natural look and modest clothing but is aware she will want to follow trends.

Asked if she will stop Harper wearing short skirts, she said: "Hopefully she’s not going to want to wear short skirts and dresses.

"When I used to want to wear short skirts and dresses, that’s how people were dressing. I’m not sure it’s the same now.

"Is it cool for young girls to wear tons of make-up these days? Surely the women that young girls look up to don’t tend to plaster themselves in make-up."

But asked about the vloggers who do contouring videos and the Kardashians, she added: "I try not to think about that as inspiring, to be honest."

And Victoria – who also has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12, with her husband David Beckham – tries to teach her daughter there are many more important things in life than appearances.

She told Britain’s ELLE magazine: "I think it’s [about] getting the balance right, not stifling them and then ending up with a child who rebels.

"I say to her, ‘Harper, it’s not who’s the prettiest girl in the class, it’s who is the nicest and most hard-working girl in the class.’

"I don’t like her to focus too much on her appearance."

Harper has a passion for ballet and chess, but also loves to draw.

Victoria said: "It was funny, the other day Harper said, ‘I’d like you to come to my gallery opening.’

"So I went into the lounge and she had coloured lots of pictures, pulled them out of the book and laid them out on the armoire, and she wanted us to come to the ‘gallery’.

"She had made little tickets and she was selling her pieces of art. Then, later, she said, ‘I’m just going to go into the lounge and do some yoga."

Victoria Beckham: I don’t have many friends

Victoria Beckham doesn’t have "a lot of friends".

The 43-year-old fashion designer doesn’t have a huge circle of pals, as she has only remained in touch with a handful of her childhood friends – but Victoria never feels lonely because she is "surrounded" by people who care for her deeply.

She shared: "I am never, ever lonely. I don’t have a lot of friends, but I’m surrounded by people I genuinely like to be with."

Despite this, Victoria – who has been married to retired soccer star David Beckham since 1999 – admitted she still struggles to find time to socialize with them.

The designer, who has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and five-year-old daughter Harper with her husband, explained it’s difficult to balance her career and family life, while still finding time for her group of close friends.

She told the new issue of ELLE magazine: "I’m very close to my sister and a friend I went to school with, and then three or four others.

"I think a true friend understands that you can’t see them as much as you might want, because they’re busy as well. Everyone I’m friends with has a career and a family."

Victoria celebrated her 43rd birthday on Monday (04.17.17) and two of her former Spice Girls bandmates, Mel C and Emma Bunton, both took to Instagram to pass on their best wishes.

Mel wrote: "Happy Birthday to my dear friend and Spicy sister! (sic)"

Meanwhile, Emma – who was known as Baby Spice during her time in the group – shared an old photograph of the two of them laughing together back stage.

She captioned the image: "Happy birthday gorgeous lady! Hope you’re getting spoilt. Have an amazing birthday week. #specialmemories (sic)"

David and Victoria Beckham trademark kids’ names

David and Victoria Beckham have trademarked their children’s names.

According to intellectual property office records, the couple have officially registered Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and Harper, five, meaning they can release their own collection of branded products including, but not limited to, electronics, golf umbrellas, washing powder, self-tan and make-up.

A source said: "They’re already among the A-list’s most enterprising dynasties. Now they’ve trademarked the children’s names, the opportunities for expanding the Beckham brand are endless."

The youngsters have already made ventures into starting their own careers, with Brooklyn undertaking a number of photography assignments and gearing up for the release of his first photo book, Romeo modelling for Burberry, Cruz launching a pop career last December and Harper designing a limited-edition T-shirt.

Meanwhile, the 42-year-old fashion designer has reportedly infuriated her former Spice Girls bandmates by using their track ‘Spice Up Your Life’ to promote her new affordable collection for US retailer Target despite snubbing negotiations for their 20th anniversary tour.

The source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: "After playing the Olympics Closing Ceremony in 2012, Victoria made it very clear she had no intention of joining any future Spice Girls reunions.

"The girls respected her decision but now feel as if she wants to have it both ways.

"She’s insisted her Posh Spice persona is in the past, only to suddenly want to embrace it in order to break the wider American market."

Last month, Brooklyn announced he was pushing back the release of his photography book, ‘What I See’, by almost two months so he could focus on his studies.

He announced on Instagram: "Happy to say my book’s now out on 29th June after exams are done! Excited to meet as many of you as I can at signings, dates and locations coming soon. 3 month countdown #whatisee – link for signed copies in bio! (sic)"

‘What I See’ is set to feature 300 pictures taken by the teenager and include some previously unseen snaps of him.

Publishers Penguin Random House said the book "offer his followers a rare glimpse at the world through his eyes".

As well as the photos, Brooklyn has also written the foreword and penned all the captions.

Victoria and David Beckham ‘respect’ each other’s busy work schedule

Victoria and David Beckham "respect" each other’s busy work schedule.

The 42-year-old fashion designer has been married to the 41-year-old former England football captain for almost 20 years, and the brunette beauty – who has Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 123, and five-year-old daughter Harper with her spouse – believes the key to their long lasting relationship is "good partnership" and understanding the other’s hectic lifestyle but being able to take charge over their brood.

Speaking about her love life in the May issue of Elle UK magazine, the brunette beauty said: "David and I both respect that each of us are very, very busy; we are both running big businesses."

The style icon has revealed the couple try to make time for one another without their phones around when they can simply talk.

The fashion mogul explained: "But we do put the phones down, and sometimes we just talk."

And when Victoria is tied up preparing for Fashion Week, the tattooed hunk will look after their four children, which the entrepreneur believes is a sign of his "support" to her.

She said: "The children will be in New York and he’s already planned to take them to museums then out for dinner on Saturday night. That’s how you can show your support in a marriage, by saying, ‘You know what? I’ve got this.’ That’s what makes a good partnership."

Meanwhile, the former Spice Girls band member – who was known as Posh Spice in the group – has described her time with Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton has being "so much fun", as it helped her to learn "an enormous amount" about production.

The ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker said: "Being in the Spice Girls was so much fun. I was never the best singer or dancer. I learned an enormous amount during that time, though: the staging, the lighting, the costumes–the package excited me."

Charlie Hunnam: David Beckham is ‘f***ing cool’

Charlie Hunnam thinks David Beckham is "pretty f***ing cool".

The retired soccer star makes a cameo appearance in ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ – which Charlie stars in as the titular monarch – and the 36-year-old actor has joked he believes he developed a "little crush" on the hunk during their time together on set.

Charlie told Mr Porter: "David Beckham asked me my opinion a few times on different bits and bobs. I don’t know if it was any help or not, but I was really blown away.

"It became very clear why and how Beckham’s become the phenomenon that he has. Because he showed up determined to do a good job. He’d worked with a dialect coach, and maybe an acting coach.

"I sort of anticipated, well, he’s a superstar. This is not his primary or even his secondary focus; this is just a bit of a giggle for him. But that work ethic just shone through.

"And that, combined with him just being humble and kind and accessible, was very endearing. I’m not a football man, so upfront, I didn’t really have a strong feeling one or way or another. But by the time he left, I had a little bit of a crush on him. He was pretty f***ing cool."

And it’s not the first time ‘The Lost City of Z’ actor has gushed over the 41-year-old sporting legend either, as he previously said he "genuinely loves" David.

He said: "I thought [David] Beckham was a secret but I guess everyone’s talking about it now. Unless you just are tricking me and I’m the one that’s putting the secret out.

"[David] Beckham was awesome. I mean, I genuinely love that guy. I loved working with him. He was great."

David is good friends with director Guy Ritchie and jumped at the chance to take on a part in the movie, which also stars Eric Bana as Charlie’s father Uther Pendragon.

Jude Law is lined up as villain Vortigern and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey will portray Arthur’s significant other Guinevere.

The story tells of Arthur being unaware of his destiny at first until he stumbles upon the mighty sword Excalibur.

After meeting Guinevere, he then sets about taking his rightful place on the throne, but evil Vortigern stands in his way.

David Beckham confused by Victoria’s clothes

David Beckham doesn’t "understand" his wife Victoria’s fashion choices.

The 41-year-old designer – who has Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and five-year-old daughter Harper with her husband – didn’t get upset when her spouse told her that her outfit made her look like an elf from their little girl’s school play as she thought it was a misplaced "compliment".

She said: "I took that as a compliment, but it’s true, there are definitely things I wear that he doesn’t understand."

And her occasionally unusual choices meant David recently praised her great outfit and suggested she dress like the old days more often, much to Victoria’s amusement.

She explained to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I was just wearing a sweater. I said, ‘Do you honestly think I’m going out like this? I haven’t finished getting ready.’ "

The former Spice Girls singer’s children are also critical of her sartorial choices.

She said:" The last time I went out, I wore tracksuit bottoms and a coat and Cruz said, ‘Mummy, you look really nice…’ Baseball caps and beanies, those are the only things really that the boys fight over."

While Victoria admits she has made some "regrettable" fashion choices in the past, she isn’t ashamed of them as she thinks they just make her more relatable.

She said: "I’ve learnt so much about how to get dressed over the years.

"Are there pictures of me in regrettable outfits? Plenty. But I think other women relate to that."

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty admitted her kids don’t think their parents are "cool" and Brooklyn even insists David drops him off at the end of the street so he doesn’t get embarrassed in front of his friends.

She said: "I said, ‘If David Beckham isn’t cool enough then what hope for the other dads?’ "

David Beckham’s sons raid his closet

David Beckham’s sons steal his clothes.

The 41-year-old retired soccer star has revealed his three sons – Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12 – regularly raid his closet for outfits they can wear themselves.

Speaking about Daniel Kearns, the creative director of Kent & Curwen, he said: "We share a common vision of staying true to the brand’s British heritage while creating iconic pieces that could belong in a modern man’s everyday wardrobe."

Before adding: "My sons are also very into Kent & Curwen and constantly raid my closet. It’s also about creating collections with multigenerational appeal."

And David – who also has five-year-old daughter Harper with his wife Victoria Beckham – loves how fashion is unique to individual countries and even people.

He told the April issue of #legend magazine: "That’s what’s great about fashion. You go to the United States and there’s a certain style with the way that men and women dress. It’s the same in Europe. You go to Milan, you go to Paris, you go to London: each city is so different and so diverse.

"It’s what makes fashion so special. But, again, you go to Asia, you go to China or places like Tokyo, you just have to walk around the streets and you see different fashions. You get so much inspiration from just walking around. That is all over the world."

Meanwhile, David and Victoria previously revealed how "proud" they are of their son Brooklyn as he is due to begin studying photography at the Parsons School of Design in New York City in September.

Victoria said: "Me and Brooklyn are very, very close, we’re a very close family, and I’m just so proud of him and everything he’s achieving, he wants to be a photographer, he’s so passionate about what he does, he’s got a great eye, he’s very focused and passionate, and I’m just really proud."

Brooklyn Beckham ‘doesn’t expect special treatment’ at university

Brooklyn Beckham doesn’t expect any "special treatment" when he attends Parsons School of Design in New York City later this year.

The 18-year-old son of Victoria and David Beckham is moving 3,000 miles away from his family to study photography at the academic institution in Greenwich Village – but he doesn’t expect to receive any special favors because of his famous parents.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brooklyn will head to Parsons in September where he will become an undergraduate. But he won’t be expecting any special treatment just because he’s the son of the Beckhams.

"He follows in the footsteps of huge fashion names including Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Nicky Hilton, so he is under a lot of pressure to prove himself. It’s a big move."

Meanwhile, an insider recently claimed that Brooklyn isn’t especially nervous about moving away from home, because he already enjoys a certain degree of independence from his parents.

The source explained: "Brooklyn is already pretty independent so he has few qualms about living away from his family.

"He’s obviously going to miss them all but he’s ready for his next adventure.

"If he wants to achieve his dream job full time, having the extra learning behind him will be such an asset."

And before heading to New York later this year, Brooklyn will reportedly spend the summer working for his mother.

The 42-year-old fashion designer is keen for Brooklyn to join the team at her eponymous label and has created a role especially for him.

A source shared: "When he finishes this summer at his college in North London, he’s going to work for Victoria.

"She thinks he has a fantastic eye for fashion and is very talented – he’ll have a creative/photography type role. Victoria is in the process of securing a new office in West London – she wants to open more shops, with New York being the next location, and she wants Brooklyn to be involved."
