Nicole Scherzinger ‘would duet’ with Cruz Beckham

Nicole Scherzinger "would do a duet" with Cruz Beckham.

The 11-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham released his debut single ‘If Every Day Was Christmas’ earlier this week, and the 38-year-old former Pussycat Dolls singer has been in touch with the schoolboy’s fashionista mother to discuss the possibility of a "cool" duet.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the ‘X Factor’ judge said: "Victoria was just telling me about her son the other day. He’s just doing it all himself and she’s supporting him.

"I mean I would do a duet, she seems keen. But what, he’s how old? He’s like one year old. It would be cool. Yeah, I can do a duet with him. Maybe that will be my next thing."

And the ‘Don’t Cha’ singer might not be the only one to share a stage with Cruz, as the young star said he would love to do a duet with his former soccer star dad.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Heat Radio the host asked if he would sing with his dad on a recording.

To which Cruz replied: "I hope so, he’s OK at singing, like, Christmas songs."

However, David didn’t seem keen on his son’s idea, saying: "I’m not sure about that…"

And Cruz – who has brothers Brooklyn, 17 and Romeo, 14, as well as younger sister Harper, five – has said his family have been giving him advice on how to handle fame.

Asked what advice they have given him, he said: "Just be happy, if you don’t want to do it, you can come back to it a bit later. And they just said that they’re happy whatever I’m doing and singing makes me really happy. Brooklyn said to me that he’s really proud and I can’t ask for any more support. Everyone is so supportive."

‘If Every Day Was Christmas’ is available to stream and download now, with proceeds going toward Global’s Make Some Noise, a charity which aims to help disadvantaged youngsters across the UK.

David Beckham’s tattoos come to life for UNICEF campaign

David Beckham has called for an end to violence against children in a new UNICEF campaign.

The former footballer – who has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the charity for 10 years – has shot a one-minute film in which tattoos on his body come to life as animated scenes of abuse against kids to raise awareness of the subject.

He said: "When I launched my 7 Fund with UNICEF, I made a commitment to do everything I can to make the world a safer place for children and to speak out on issues that are having a devastating impact on children’s lives.

"One of those issues is violence. Every five minutes, somewhere in the world, a child dies from violence.

"Millions more are in danger of physical, emotional and sexual abuse that could destroy their childhoods forever."

The 41-year-old star – who has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper with wife Victoria Beckham – recalled hearing about horrific child abuse when he was in Cambodia last year.

He added: "I visited Cambodia with UNICEF where I met and listened to children tell me about terrible violence they have experienced.

"I was shocked by what I heard and I saw how violence can leave deep and lasting scars. No child should have to endure this.

"Yet in all corners of the world, in their homes, schools and on their streets, children are suffering similar violence.

"I hope this new project will draw attention to this urgent issue and inspire action. Violence against children is wrong and together we need to end it."

David launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund in February 2015 to campaign against child abuse.

Victoria Beckham kick-starts Cruz’s pop career

Victoria Beckham has set son Cruz up with a SoundCloud account to kick-start his pop star career.

The former Spice Girls singer has given her 11-year-old boy a helping hand on the music-sharing site and posted a link to his first effort, a stripped back cover of Justin Bieber’s ‘Home to Mama’.

She wrote on Twitter: "Cute!! X Cruz and @justinbieber x VB (sic)"

Cruz’s version of the song has been viewed on the site more than 26,000 times and his profile has attracted more than 700 followers at the time of writing.

He uploaded the song on Saturday (11.19.16) but is yet to share any more of his tunes.

Earlier this month, Victoria was said to be keen to oversee Cruz’s pop career, despite husband David – who she also has kids Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and five-year-old Harper with – thinking she is already too busy with her fashion empire.

A source said: "Victoria is adamant she needs to be Cruz’s manager and says it’s a no brainer given she has the vital experience from being in the industry for so long and knowing the mechanics of how it works.

"David thinks it is too much and doesn’t know how she’ll have the time to give Cruz the attention he needs. But she insists she’ll do whatever it takes and make sacrifices if need be to ensure she’s there to guide him."

What’s more, in September, Simon Cowell admitted he was keen to sign Cruz to his Syco record label.

He said at the time: "Get him in and we’ll sign him.

"I met them when they were younger and I have to say they are really incredible kids.

"They could have been really spoilt but they weren’t – they were really funny when they came down to one of the shows.

"I know the Beckhams get criticized for being in the public eye but if you’re in the public eye your kids are going to be too."

Harper Beckham starts ballet training

Harper Beckham has started training at the English National Ballet.

The five-year-old daughter of retired soccer player David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham has taken up dancing at the prestigious ballet school, where her 41-year-old dad takes her every week.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "David and Victoria have entered Harper into the English National Ballet. She goes every week and David takes her to training himself and hangs out with the other dads there. It’s really sweet.

"Harper is of the age now where she is trying loads of different things but she really loves going to ballet.

"There really is no better place for her to learn than the English National Ballet. It’s up there with the most distinguished ballet schools in the world. Both David and Victoria love watching her perform and helping her practice too."

The news comes after 42-year-old Victoria – who also has three sons, 17-year-old Brooklyn, 14-year-old Romeo, and 11-year-old Cruz, with her husband – previously expressed concerns that none of her children wanted to follow in her fashion footsteps.

She said: "[Harper] loves fashion, you know, as all little girls do . . . but she loves sports. She said to me the other day ‘Mummy, I think I want to play football.’

"Dagger through the heart! I have three boys that want to play football, you know, come on, let one of them want to be into fashion or dance."

And Harper doesn’t have to worry about making friends at ballet school, as former Spice Girl Victoria previously claimed her daughter was "very sociable" and made friends easily.

She said: "[Harper] works very hard at school and is very sociable, so has a lot of friends. She has a better social life than I do! My children are all very happy and that’s the most crucial thing – they are happy, confident and secure in themselves."
