Twitter outage preventing tweets from loading, logins

Twitter is down and appears to be experiencing a major outage Thursday morning. Canadians can breathe a sigh of relief — Rogers is not down again.

According to Ookla’s Downdetector website, outage reports for Twitter spiked shortly after 8am ET. However, as noted by The Verge, Twitter’s status site shows that everything is working just fine. While users can still navigate to the Twitter website, tweets don’t load nor can people tweet. The Verge also reported that you can’t log into the website right now.

At the moment, it’s not clear what caused the issue.

The Verge reports that this is the first major Twitter outage since the service went down twice in February. Some people weren’t able to access Twitter in some parts of the U.S. due to a “technical bug” that stopped timelines from loading and tweets from posting.

Holly Madison wants to inspire women

Holly Madison claims Hugh Hefner ”can’t grasp the fact” she is trying to help other women.

The former glamour model, who claims in her new book, ‘Down the Rabbit Hole,’ that she was verbally and emotionally abused while living in the Playboy Mansion, has lashed out at the magazine mogul for accusing her of trying to ”rewrite history.”

Responding to her 89-year-old ex-boyfriend’s recent statement, in which he dismissed her allegations, the 35-year-old beauty said: ”I wrote the book not because I had an axe to grind or because I wanted a reaction from him. I just wanted to tell my story and hopefully inspire other women if they’re in a bad relationship or a bad situation, to move on and not feel branded by a choice they made or a person they’re known to be with.

”I think he thinks I’m doing it for fame because he can’t grasp the fact that a woman would have a message and a story to tell.”

Holly, who has two-year-old daughter Rainbow with husband Pasquale Rotella, says she decided to open up about her experience seven years after leaving the mansion because it had become ”the elephant in the room.

She told the ‘Wendy Williams Show’: ”For so many years, I didn’t want to talk about my time at the mansion. Everybody would ask me about it and I would give light, positive, dismissive answers…but it turned into the elephant in the room that I couldn’t get away from. I hold myself accountable for all the decisions I made in my book and explain why I made them.”

Rita Ora was nervous about revealing feelings for Calvin Harris

Rita Ora was nervous about making her feelings for Calvin Harris public.

The pop star initially refused her producer boyfriend’s idea to record a song together and was wary of putting her emotions down into words on her hit single, ‘I Will Never Let You Down’, in case it jinxed their romance.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, she revealed: ”I thought it was a bad idea. I said, ‘I don’t know what’s gonna happen, babe.’ All that political s**t, I didn’t want to think about it. But when we started to write, it happened so naturally it felt right.

”There was a moment when we were like, you know, we’re both known. It could become difficult. This message, I won’t let you down, is a message of hope. It’s the little reality that we do have left in this … [fame bubble].”

Rita, 23, has become one of the most recognizable faces in the world since hitting the big time in 2012 with her summer anthem ‘Hot Right Now’.

The Kosovo-born star has lost most of her old friends because they struggled to adjust to her new-found status and she doesn’t have time to deal with their complaints that she has changed.

She lamented: ”I have had some [friends] that you don’t even recognize any more. It can be scary when people start to act weird around you. They even ask if they can go to the toilet.

”People say ‘Rita has changed’ but we are supposed to change. You have a career to change for the better and to succeed.

”It’s not your job to persuade friends that you are the same. They have to accept I am going to change because I am working my b****y arse off.

”But you shouldn’t worry about it, you should worry about your album and your shows.”
