Matthew Perry’s cause of death revealed

An autopsy report sheds light on what contributed to the tragic death of Friends’ beloved actor Matthew Perry.

Perry may have drowned due to high levels of ketamine in his system. The autopsy also revealed that drowning, coronary heart disease and buprenorphine, an opioid-type medication used to manage opioid dependence, were all contributing factors, CNN reports.

According to the autopsy report, the level of ketamine in Perry’s system was particularly high… with some experts even claiming that the level of ketamine written in the report corresponded to that of a general anesthetic during surgery!

Matthew Perry was found dead on October 28 in the swimming pool of his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.

How to share a rental cottage (while keeping the peace)

Splitting a rental cottage with a big group is a great way to keep costs down. But a dozen friends or family members in close proximity can create some challenges.

The key is communication and planning, says Samantha Aguirre, who has split a cottage with friends every summer for the past eight years. She shares a few tips to keep things running smoothly so your group can have a memorable cottage getaway.

1. Communicate before the trip

The first step should be discussing everybody’s expectations. While you may be content to lay in a hammock for a week, others might have a long list of must-haves. To make all this communication simpler, create a text chain or group chat to help coordinate the trip. “We have a group chat on Instagram,” Aguirre says. “We confirm everything there so everyone’s on the same page.”

2. Nominate one person to take charge

It can be helpful for one person to take the lead, Aguirre says. “I tend to be the organizer. We found through the first couple years of cottaging together that it’s just easier to have one person who takes charge.” It’s also better for your host if they have one person as a point of contact for the rest of the group.

But the organizer doesn’t need to do the entirety of the work. Ask people to volunteer to manage different parts of the trip, such as driving, navigating day trips, or bringing games and movies to the cottage.

3. How to split the costs

As the group’s organizer, Aguirre pays the full price and then collects the split from each member of the group. It’s typically a simple formula, though she admits it’s trickier when people visit for the weekend, for example, rather than the full week.

There are a few ways you can divide the costs of a rental cottage. It can be split by person, by room, or proportionally, per person per night. If this sounds like too much math for a vacation, you can use an app like Splitwise to help keep track of shared expenses. You’ll also need to consider what happens if someone drops out and whether they’re still responsible for any costs.

4. Master cottage meal planning

Meal planning can be simple if you plan ahead and stick to the basics. Aguirre asks everybody to bring their own snacks, but otherwise, she buys the majority of the meals and then splits the costs. She even does some prepping before the trip. “It just makes life easier. We just pull things out of the freezer, let it defrost and cook it.” Alternatively, if you’re sharing the cottage across multiple families, each family can be responsible for one day or one meal, from the prep to the cleanup.

5. Determine sleeping arrangements ahead of time

Not all beds are created equal. Rather than first come, first serve, try to allocate rooms during the planning stage to avoid any squabbles. But Aguirre says her group has never had any disputes over sleeping arrangements. “The single guys crash on the bunk beds, the couples take a room with a double bed, and the odd straggler who’s up the latest takes the couch,” she says. “Sometimes we try to get the drivers a good bed if they’re doing a lot of driving for a day trip.”

Courteney Cox’s romantic birthday break

Courteney Cox is enjoying a ”romantic” 50th birthday vacation with Johnny McDaid.

The couple – who have been dating for around eight months – flew from Miami to Amanyara in Turks and Caicos on Saturday (06.14.14), and marked her special day on Sunday (06.15.14) by spending the afternoon in a ”secluded” part of the beach.

A source said: ”Courteney’s birthday was Sunday and they spent all afternoon on the beach. It was just the two of them and they found a secluded spot in a cove.

”It was very romantic and a beautiful setting for the afternoon. They shared a green cocktail and took a nap side by side. Courteney looked like there was nowhere else in the world she would rather be and just so happy to be doing what she was doing.”

According to the onlooker, 37-year-old Johnny was very attentive to his girlfriend – who has 10-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David Arquette – and the pair seemed ”totally in love”.

The insider continued to E! News: ”Johnny was doting on her, rubbing her leg and passing her a cold towel when she got hot. They seem very happy together and totally in love. After a long afternoon in the sun, they went back to their room for the night.”

Courteney Cox sparks engagement rumors

Courteney Cox has sparked rumors she is engaged to Johnny McDaid.

The former ‘Friends’ actress, who started dating the Snow Patrol frontman in September, was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring on her engagement finger as she strolled through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with the rocker on Sunday (04.20.14).

A source told Us Weekly magazine that their wedding will be ”sooner than later” and ”they are talking about having a child together.”

The 37-year-old Northern Irish singer’s close friend Ed Sheeran recently predicted that the couple, who moved in together last month in LA, would tie the knot in the future.

He said: ”I wouldn’t be surprised, but it’s still early days.

”They certainly enjoy each other’s company and feel very comfortable with each other.”

The 23-year-old British singer later said: ”I’m not sure that it’s public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn’t have said anything – but, yes, they’re already living together. Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier.”

Courteney, 49, was previously married to David Arquette with whom she has a nine-year-old daughter, Coco, and her ex-husband has given her relationship with Johnny his seal of approval.

An insider said: ”What has really impressed Courteney is how good Johnny is with Coco.

”She didn’t let any other men near her daughter but he’s always out in their grounds playing sport with Coco and bonding with her.

”Also, David approves of him – they’ve met a few times and are even planning a dinner with David and his partner Christina. They’re all comfortable around each other. Johnny doesn’t feel at all awkward about it.”

Jennifer Aniston may not invite mother to wedding

Justin Theroux wants Jennifer Aniston to completely reconcile with her mother before they get married.

The 41-year-old ‘Wanderlust’ actor, who got engaged to the former ‘Friends’ star last summer, wants her mother Nancy Dow to be present when they exchange vows.

A source told the MailOnline website: "Right now, Jennifer is going back and forth. As it stands, she’s going to invite Nancy to the wedding – but it’s not set in stone."

Jennifer cut her mother out of her life after Nancy released a tell-all book in 1999 ‘From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir’ and did not invite her to her first wedding to Brad Pitt.

However she rushed to her mother’s bedside last year when she suffered a stroke.

The insider added: "Justin has been instrumental in convincing Jen to reconcile with her mother. He’s encouraged her to forgive Nancy for writing a book about Jen and giving interviews about her that she regarded as excessively indiscreet.

"Two years ago Jen was adamant she’d never talk to her mother again. Justin has asked her to give her mother another chance especially as she’s been recovering from a hip operation.

"Justin’s mantra is that time heals and he’s urged her to invite her mother to the wedding."

Jennifer, 44, has formed a close bond with Justin’s own mother Phyllis Grissim-Theroux, who is trying to convince the actress to relocate to New York, and was spotted having dinner with her in Manhattan on Monday (22.07.13).

The source said: "Jen and Justin’s mother have bonded over a number of shared interests, notably trying to get Justin to curtail the speed with which he drives his motorbike.

"But she’s also been instrumental in convincing Jen that New York is a great city."

Matthew Perry wants to start a family

Matthew Perry wants to settle down and have children.

The 43-year-old actor – who battled addictions to alcohol, Vicodin, methadone and amphetamines during his 10-year stint on sitcom ‘Friends’ – has finally overcome his issues and wants to finally get married and start a family.

He said: "I would love to start a family of my own. I think I’d make a great dad and I think shortly I would make a great husband."

Matthew also admitted acting is no longer as important to him as it used to be and he is instead focusing on having fun and enjoying life.

He told People magazine: "People are always asking me, ‘What’s next?’ There are a few entertainment things I’m discussing but honestly it’s gone down in import for me.

"A year and a half ago I went to the doctor and was told, ‘The new prescription for you? ‘Go have fun.’ Wow that’s really freeing."

The funnyman recently admitted he spent years trying to hide his addictions from his co-stars – who included Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox – and felt "lonely" because he had no one to confide in.

Matthew said: "I’ve had a life of extreme highs and extreme lows. I was in the white hot flame of fame.

"From an outsider’s perspective it would seem like I had it all. It was actually a very lonely time for me because I was suffering from alcoholism."
