Jacksons are furious at Grammy snub

The story did not end with Michael Jackson’s death. The latest episode involves his family’s anger and indignation at not receiving an invitation to the Grammy Awards where there was a special tribute to the King of Pop who died on June 25, 2009.

On Twitter, Randy Jackson expressed the pride he felt, "So proud, my brother being honoured tonight with the Lifetime Achievement Award. My family would love to be there but, truth is, we weren’t invited. Do you want more truth? Let me be clear. When I said ‘my family’ I meant my brothers, sisters and parents."

Randy is also convinced that Michael Jackson’s children were only invited at the last minute because family patriarch Joe Jackson pressured the Grammys to have at least one Jackson rep present.

More Stars To Sing at the Grammys

Lady Gaga, Green Day, Pink, the Dave Matthews Band and the Zac Brown Band are the latest addition to the impressive line-up of stars to perform at the most prestigious music night of the year.

The announcement pairs with one made earlier, which revealed that Beyoncé, the Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift, Maxwell and Lady Antebellum would be hitting the Los Angeles Staples Center stage on January 31.

With the addition of Lady Gaga and the Dave Matthews Band, Grammy organizers claim to have managed to book five artists nominated for Album of the Year, the others being Beyoncé, the Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift.

2010’s ceremony is bound to be a big one for women in music. Beyoncé sweeps the nominations with a whopping 10 for her album I Am… Sasha Fierce. She is followed by Swift, who has eight nominations for Fearless, and Lady Gaga is in the running to win up to five awards.

Performers Announced for Grammy Awards

The next Grammy ceremony will include several musical guests, including Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, T.I., Kanye West and Jay-Z, reports RollingStone.com.

Radiohead have never performed at the Grammy Awards, despite the fact that they won two best album awards, for OK Computer and Kid A.  This year, the group is nominated for five awards, including album of the year once again, for In Rainbows.

Paul McCartney’s participation is a bit surprising, considering the fact that he’s only been nominated in a few secondary categories.

Other artists who will be on hand at the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony are Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry and Kenny Chesney.
