A Park for Harry Potter

Directly inspired by the adventures of the young sorcerer, the theme park The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in Florida in 2009.

The author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling, is thrilled about the new park.  She told the BBC, "The plans I’ve seen look incredibly exciting, and I don’t think fans of the books or films will be disappointed."

The Harry Potter books have been translated into 65 languages and have sold more than 325 copies.  The final installment of the series will be released on July 21.  In addition to the novels, film adaptations have earned more than $3.5 million.  Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens in theatres on July 13.

Harry Potter’s Hermione Gets a Boost

Over the years, Harry Potter fans have watched the characters of the film grow on the silver screen.  Warner Bros. is now being asked why they would digitally enhance the breasts of Watson, who plays Hermione Granger.

For a promotional poster for the upcoming film, the 17 year-old actress, who plays a 15 year-old, was shown with an enlarged bust, according to The Daily Mail.

According to the paper, after several fans of the film shared their anger over the photo, Warner Bros. announced that the enhancement was not approved by management.

Harry Potter Becomes a Park Attraction

According to England’s The Sun, Universal is finalising plans to install a Harry Potter attraction in their Orlando, Florida theme park. 

Universal Studios is also planning to add an attraction based on the television series The Simpsons.  Universal is the third biggest amusement attraction in America.

Emma Watson to Star in Harry Potter

The 16 year-old star will return for the final films about the young sorcerer, after threatening not to return.

Warner has confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will all be returning to their roles for the films Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Emma Watson Wants to Quit Harry Potter

Watson, who plays Potter’s friend, Hermione Granger, does not want to star in the sixth and seventh episodes of the series.

According to Sunday’s News of the World, the 16 year-old actress has turned down an offer of double her salary by the series producers.  The paper reported that the actress was offered nearly $4 million per film.

While the management team at Warner continues to persuade the star to return, fans of the series will next see the young sorcerer in theatres in the film’s fifth episode, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Harry Potter Poster Revealed

The fifth episode of the adventures of Harry Potter will open in theatres on July 13.

In the new film, Harry Potter returns to his fifth year of wizard school.  Harry finds that the other students are in denial about his encounter with Lord Voldemort.  The young wizards are unprepared to fight the dark forces.

The film was directed by David Yates (The Girl in the Cafe, Sex Traffic) and again stars Daniel Radcliffe in the title role.  The cast also includes Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Natalia Tena, George Harris, Kathryn Hunter, Apple Brook, James Walters, James Utechin, Alec Hopkins and Jason Piper.

Two Deaths in the Last Harry Potter

During an interview on the Richard and Judy Show, the author revealed the news, saying, "One character got a reprieve, but I have to say two die."

Rowling refused to divulge the characters who will meet their fate, however we do know that they are key characters from the series.

Filming to Start on Harry Potter 5

To be directed by British filmmaker David Yates, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will star Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who will all return to their roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.  The film is being adapted from a book by J.K. Rowling, and continues to follow the adventures of Harry and the others at Poudlard.

In this entry, a few new characters will be introduced, including Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks and Luna Lovegood.

Filming will begin at England’s Leavesden studios on February 6.  Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will open in theatres in 2007.

Harry Potter Has Acne

The stars of the Harry Potter series of films are having normal teenage problems…spots!  The producers are so concerned that they have had to call on the expertise of several technicians.

Each frame of the film is being of the film is being reviewed, and the stars’ faces are being digitally enhanced.

The young stars have all entered their teen years, since making the first Harry Potter film in 2001.  Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is now 15, Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) is 17, and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) is 15.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be released in November.

First Images of New Harry Potter Film

Directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Donnie Brasco, Mona Lisa Smile), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be in theatres next November.

The fourth adventure of the apprentice sorcerer stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Robbie Coltrane and Ralph Fiennes.  In this entry, the students of Poudlard must confront their worst enemy, Voldemort.
