Justin Theroux: Marriage is ‘different’

Justin Theroux admits being married feels ”different”.

The 44-year-old actor tied the knot with Jennifer Aniston in a secret ceremony earlier this month and is ”very happy” for the ‘Cake’ star to call him her husband.

He told People magazine: ”It does feel different. I’m very happy.

”It’s nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewelry on my finger.”

Justin and Jennifer flew to Bora Bora to honeymoon with their friends after their wedding, and the actor was given a rapturous reception when he returned to work on the new series of ‘The Leftovers’.

He said: ”[The cast and crew] gave me a big cheer so it was wonderful.”

While Justin feels ”different” since getting married, his 46-year-old wife recently said calling him her husband feels ”natural”.

She said last week: ”It feels quite natural. He’s shooting ‘The Leftovers’ in Austin [now].”

The couple kept their nuptials under wraps by telling friends they were being invited to their Bel Air home for an early birthday celebration for the groom, and Jennifer says their determination meant they could pull off the surprise.

She said: ”Where there’s a great will, there’s a way. It can be done.”

Ed Sheeran wants Game of Thrones role

Ed Sheeran wants a role in ‘Game of Thrones’.

The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker has revealed he’s in talks to appear in the HBO fantasy series after missing out on the chance to be an extra three years ago because it clashed with his tour.

He said: ”There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it’s the time I tour in the UK.

”But I’ve got that time off this year, so I’m going to hound them.”

The self-confessed GoT geek would not be the first music star to appear on the show as Coldplay drummer Will Champion and Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody each had a cameo in 2013.

The 24-year-old star – who recently split from girlfriend Athina Andrelos – is hoping his friendships with Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, and Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, will help him to secure a role in the hit show.

He told The Sun newspaper: ”If you watch the Glastonbury footage of my gig, Maisie’s on someone’s shoulders the whole time.”

Meanwhile, Ed recently filmed scenes for an appearance as himself in the Australian soap ‘Neighbours’ and has also made a cameo in the long-running children’s show ‘Sesame Street’.

Julia Roberts and husband to receive humanitarian award

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder are set to be honored for their humanitarian work.

The Oscar-winning actress and her husband, who have twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, nine, and son Henry, seven, will be presented with the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network’s (GLSEN) Humanitarian Award at the 2014 Respect Awards in Los Angeles on October 17 for their work on ‘The Normal Heart.’

The 46-year-old actress, who starred in the HBO film, and Danny, 45, who was the director of photography, will be celebrated for raising awareness about HIV via the movie, as well as helping charities, including UNICEF, Heal the Bay and Stand Up to Cancer.

In a statement today (08.19.14), GLSEN said: ”We are proud to recognize Danny Moder and Julia Roberts, whose inspiring work on HBO’s ‘The Normal Heart’ has brought renewed attention to an important movement – and an on-going crisis – in LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] and American history.”

An adaptation of Larry Kramer’s 1985 play, ‘The Normal Heart’ is about the early years of the AIDS epidemic and is nominated for 11 Emmy Awards at next Monday’s ceremony (08.25.14).

‘Dancing with the Stars’ performer Derek Hough, 29, will also be honored with the Inspiration Award at the 10th annual Respect Awards following the success of his book, ‘Taking the Lead: Lessons From a Life in Motion,’ which ”epitomizes GLSEN’s commitment to storytelling and serves as a testament to the power of a strong work ethic, dedication to one’s craft, and a spirit of perseverance.”

Liv Tyler ‘distracted’ by co-star’s body

Liv Tyler gets ”distracted” by Justin Theroux’s body.

The ‘Leftovers’ actress admits she couldn’t take her eyes off her co-star, who is engaged to Jennifer Aniston, when she saw photographs of him filming an anatomically revealing scene for a TV movie in Queens, New York City in June 2013, in which he was clearly running in sweatpants without any underwear on.

The 37-year-old beauty told ‘Watch What Happens Live!’: ”There was this scene where he was jogging and there was quite a large bulge in his sweatpants and it was all over.”

She added: ”I get distracted when I watch the pilot [of ‘The Leftovers,] definitely. I’m like, ‘Can’t help but look there.’ But I’ve never noticed the bulge other times.”

Justin previously gushed about his love of working out.

He said: ”I like to work out in the afternoon, around three or four. I just don’t like to wake up and sweat. I’d rather have a cup of coffee.

”In New York I used to just be more active. I’d always ride my bike everywhere or skateboard everywhere, walk, whatever. Then I started going to the gym.”

The actor, 42, got engaged to former ‘Friends’ star Jennifer, 45, on his birthday in August 2012, but he recently hinted they are in no rush to get married, as they are still enjoying their engagement.

The Jewels of Sex and the City

Following the introduction of a Sex and the City perfume, the popular cable-show-turned-feature film will also have its own jewellery collection, reports Coco Perez.

Dogeared, a California jewellery maker, has acquired a license from HBO to produce items for the brand.

Several different charms have been created for necklaces, including a stilleto heel, a diamond and an Eiffel Tower charm in gold and silver.  The jewellery will also be sold with a card that mentions the specific inspiration from the memorable show.  Sex and the City necklaces will be sold online this spring by HBO.com and Dogeared.com.

Sex and the City 2 will hit theatres on May 28, 2010.  In the sequel, several celebrity guests will make appearances, including Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, Victoria Beckham, Liza Minelli and Barbra Streisand.

Maria Bello Signs with HBO

Actress Maria Bello (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, A History of Violence) will have her own series on the cable channel.

The project, which does not yet have a title, will be written with the help of Gary Lennon (The Shield).

Bello will star in the series as a woman sinking into a life of crime to support her three sons after the death of her husband.  She also uses her sons to carry out dirty deeds.

Bello will also be producing the project with Lennon.

A Barack Obama Film

HBO has already closed a 7-figure deal to obtain the American rights to make a documentary on the future United States president, Barack Obama.

The documentary, which is currently untitled, will be produced by actor Edward Norton (Pride and Glory), with his company Class 5 Films.

It seems that the actor had approached Obama in 2006 to direct the documentary on his political career. He obtained authorisation to film from the beginning of the campaign in 2007 until his triumphant victory on Tuesday (November 4).

Norton revealed that Barack Obama’s presidential race gave him the perfect angle for the documentary. He was able capture the population’s immediate reaction at that decisive moment in history.

HBO expects to present the film next year.

A Sequel for Sex and the City

Fans of the female foursome with fantastic fashion will be thrilled to learn that HBO is already planning a new Sex and the City film.

Michael Lombardo, the director of programming for the channel, said, "There is enormous interest by Warner Brothers New Line to do another Sex and the City, and I think, in fact, they’re trying with our help to put that together now."

Lombardo does not want to speculate when it comes to a release date.  One thing is certain, the stars of the show, including Sarah Jessica Parker, have been amazed at the enthusiasm for their film.

Jim Carrey Hits Television

According to Variety, Jim Carrey will be the co-creator and executive producer of an upcoming comedy to air on HBO.

Comedian Lisa Lampanelli already accepted the lead role, which is a woman who unexpectedly inherits a comedy club in Los Angeles. Kario Salem (The Score) has signed on as screenwriter.

The project marks a return to the Canadian actor’s roots, since he started out doing stand-up at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles during the 80s.

Carrey has wrapped up shooting the black comedy, I Love You Phillip Morris, also starring Ewan McGregor.
