Do you bring your smartphone into the shower with you?

Thanks to everyone who didn’t make me feel weird about my last ‘Community Question‘ where I asked, “Am I weird for wanting to put a smart speaker in my bathroom?

Most people seem to agree that this is a reasonable thing to do, and I really appreciate that. For my next question, I want to know: “do you bring your phone or tablet into the shower with you?”

To clarify, I don’t mean using your phone or tablet while taking a bath — I’m specifically talking about while you’re showering.

Modern smartphones and tablets typically feature IP68 water and dust resistance, so you can definitely bring most devices into the shower without fear of breaking them, but is anyone actually doing this?

I’ve taken my smartphone for a dip once just for fun to finish an episode of Fashion Photo Ruview because I already started it and didn’t want it to end.

However, I know MobileSyrup‘s Patrick O’Rouke and Bradley Bennett both regularly watch content and listen to music with devices in the shower. I think it’s a bit weird, but to each their own.

Do you guys ever bring your phone or tablet into the shower with you? Let us know in the comments below, and if the consensus is overwhelming, “yes,” I’ll try bringing the next phone I review into the shower with me to watch an episode of You.

Here’s how to connect your Nintendo Switch ‘Pokemon Unite’ account to mobile

Though Pokémon Unite is now available on Android and iOS, it’s been playable on the Nintendo Switch for a couple of months now.

If you’re like me, you’ve already played this multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) on your mobile device, but now you’re thinking about taking the experience to your smartphone.

Unlike several other games, Pokémon Unite allows you to crossplay between Android, iOS and the Nintendo Switch, and even further, you’re also able to link your accounts.

Here’s how to do it:

When you first log onto the mobile version of Pokémon Unite, the game will ask you for your language preference and then your birthday.

After that, Pokémon Unite asks you to connect your Google account, Facebook, Pokémon Trainer Club, Nintendo Account, or create a new account.

For me, I used the Nintendo Account and entered my username and password.

Following that, the game kicked me out, which I’m not sure will happen for everyone. However, when I logged back in, I had full access to my Pokémon, items and clothing.

It’s a pretty straightforward process for anyone looking to combine accounts.

The new update also includes a battle pass that features a space theme, with the top reward being a new ‘Galatic Ghost 094’ skin for Gengar.

SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures launches on Android and iOS

Mobile game publisher Kongregate’s SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures is now available as a free download on Android and iOS.

In the management sim, SpongeBob and friends are accidentally transported to another dimension after playing with Sandy’s Vortex Machine. The gang will then need to try to return to their Bikini Bottom, all while dealing with alternate versions of themselves.

As a management sim, Idle Adventures tasks players with maintaining various classic SpongeBob locations like the Krusty Krab and Chum Bucket by hiring workers and using other resources. You’ll be able to play as familiar characters like SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward and Mr. Krabs. Along the way, you’ll rank up and get closer to repairing the Vortex Machine.

The game features in-app purchases to spend real money to acquire in-game items and currency.
