A Six-Figure Salary for Mickey Rourke

According to Digital Spy, Rourke will collect $250 000 for his role in Iron Man 2.

The salary seems low, particularly after the 51-year-old star was nominated for an Oscar for his work in the film The Wrestler.  Rourke is up for a trophy in the best actor category.

An inside source wrote on the Internet, "Studios are telling us, we need movies, but they want us to proceed with projects without spending money, and without actually pulling the trigger and making commitment."

In the meantime, we can next see Rourke in the films Killshot and The Informers, opening respectively on January 23 and April 10.

Downey Jr. doesn’t know what pushed the studio to hire Don Cheadle to play Tony Stark’s best friend, Jim Rhodes.  The actor added, "It’s one of those situations where I still don’t quite know what happened or why."
