Drew Barrymore declares love for Jake Gyllenhaal with sign

Drew Barrymore carried an "I love Jake Gyllenhaal" sign on the red carpet to make up for calling him her "least talented" co-star.

The 43-year-old actress had a huge grin on her face as she held up the handmade placard at the premiere of series two of her Netflix series ‘The Santa Clarita Diet’ at Hollywood’s Arclight Theater on Thursday (03.22.18).

Drew made her claim about her ‘Donnie Darko’ co-star during a game of ‘Spill Your Guts and Fill Your Guts’ on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’.

The ’50 First Dates’ star dodged having to eat a turkey testicle by naming Adam Sandler as the most talented, followed by Hugh Grant, and placing her the ‘Southpaw’ actor last, but she insisted her pal would understand.

She said: "When I run into him next time, I’ll be like, dude, it was selling you down the river or eating turkey’s ball. I’m sorry, Jake, it was the turkey testicles!"

Meanwhile, during the same segment, Corden revealed he stole a candle from Mariah Carey’s house.

The former ‘Gavin & Stacey’ star was frustrated to be kept waiting for hours when he visited the ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ hitmaker’s home to film a festive special for his popular ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment, so he made sure he swiped a souvenir from the room before he left.

The 39-year-old presenter – who has children Max, six, Carey, three, and Charlotte, three months, with wife Julia – was asked by his guest John Boyega if he’d ever stolen anything.

He quipped: "I mean, my wife’s heart."

But then he revealed he’d taken the monogrammed candle from the 47-year-old singer’s house.

He admitted: "This is completely true and I’ve never told anybody this. I once stole a candle from Mariah Carey’s house. I’ll tell you why, though! These candles, they say ‘Mariah Carey’ and there’s a butterfly on them. We’d gone to film this Christmas ‘Carpool Karaoke’. I went to go to her house and we were going to film it from there. We were supposed to film at three and I was told get there at four and they’ll probably be ready. I waited in her living room until about 6:30 just on my own, and I thought, well, I’m going to take this candle just for my time."

Heidi Klum is ready to date again

Heidi Klum is "very single and very ready to mingle".

The 44-year-old supermodel split from her boyfriend Vito Schnabel last September after three years together, and despite originally claiming she is on a break from dating, Heidi now revealed she is looking for love again.

Heidi was a guest on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Monday (26.02.18), and said: "I’m very single and very ready to mingle."

The 60-year-old comedian played ‘Would You Rather’ with the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge and showed two pictures of male celebrities and Heidi had to decided which one she liked the best.

She said: "I play this with Mel B sometimes. We just call it ‘If You Had To’."

While playing the game, it appears she took a liking to rapper Drake after picking him over several stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles and Brad Pitt.

On her decision, she said: "I like Drake. I mean, look at that muscle."

However, in a shock twist, Heidi picked Joaquin Phoenix over the ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker and claimed she has a "soft spot" for the actor.

Heidi previously revealed she still has a good relationship with her ex-husband Seal.

The duo were married from 2005 until 2014, and Heidi admitted it was important they maintained good relations for the sake of their children.

The ‘Project Runway’ star – who has sons Johan, 11, and Henry, 12, and daughters Lou, eight, and Leni, 13, with the singing star – explained: "It’s never really easy, I guess, when you break up.

"There was probably a reason for it and it kind of takes its time but then, you know, we’re always there for our children and always will be. You always make it work. You just do."

Amy Schumer confirms marriage to Chris Fischer

Amy Schumer has confirmed she has tied the knot.

The ‘Trainwreck’ star took to Instagram on Thursday (15.02.18) to share pictures from the big day as she married chef Chris Fischer in Malibu earlier this week.

Captioning the string of pictures, she simply wrote: "Yup."

Amy’s close friend Jennifer Lawrence was in attendance whilst Jennifer Aniston, Judd Apatow, Bridget Everett, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chelsea Handler and Jerry Seinfeld were all seen at the nuptials too.

Amy has been romantically linked to Chris since November but she only confirmed her romance with him earlier this month. Sharing a photo of herself and Chris kissing in a photo booth at friend Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party on Saturday (10.02.18), she captioned the photo: "Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us! (sic)"

The 36-year-old star previously dated furniture designer Ben Hanisch for 18 months until last May but the pair vowed to remain friends.

Confirming their break up at the time, Amy’s representative said: "Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends."

And now Amy’s romance with Chris is going from strength to strength, he will need to be "protective" of her, as she praised the quality in her former partner.

Speaking about Ben, she said previously: "He’s very protective of me. Like, not overprotective, but if someone’s taking pictures of me or filming in a restaurant, he’ll start taking pictures of them. He’s really cool; it’s not a problem to be around any of the sorts of people who are at these events. He takes it all in his stride. But when I say, ‘Shall we get out of here?,’ he’s like, ‘Yes!’ … I’m so lucky that I met him. And he hadn’t seen any of my work before we met."

Margot Robbie: Fame is bittersweet

Margot Robbie finds it "bittersweet" being away from home.

The 27-year-old actress hails from Australia, and has said it can be difficult spending so much time in Hollywood as she "misses" her family, but believes the long distance between her work and her home means she can make sure to separate the two parts of her life.

She said: "It’s bittersweet living outside of Australia, because I miss everyone so much, but the fact that they are so removed from it helps me keep my life and my work separate – even though they are intrinsically linked, because all I want to do is work all the time."

The blonde beauty believes she handles fame well, but says she would have found it "incredibly difficult" to cope if she had shot to fame like figure skater Tonya Harding – whom she plays in new movie ‘I, Tonya’ – who didn’t have a "support network" to help guide her.

Margot added: "But becoming famous at [Tonya’s] age without a support network around her, and without a clear distinction, I think would have been incredibly difficult."

The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress made the comments in an interview for Variety magazine alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays author Jeff Bauman – who lost his legs in the tragic Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 – in the biopic ‘Stronger’.

And the 36-year-old actor admits he learned similar things about fame from speaking to Jeff.

He told Margot in the publication: "I think that’s true. I learned from Jeff that he didn’t ask for those things – he didn’t ask for the attention and to become that thing, but he has slowly evolved into being able to hold that idea for people."

Jake Gyllenhaal does not ‘feel’ like an actor

Jake Gyllenhaal does not "feel" like an actor.

The 36-year-old hunk has admitted he is "fluent" when it comes to filmmaking and with being in front of the camera, but the fact he feels "so comfortable" on set "disturbs" him, which he puts down to being immersed in the movie business at an early age.

Speaking to Total Film magazine, the ‘Nightcrawler’ star – who made his movie debut in 1991 aged 11 – said: "To be honest, I don’t really feel like an actor. Which is strange. But I don’t. I’m fluent in the process of filmmaking, of being on a set. I’m comfortable there, which already makes me a bit disturbed. But that comes from starting at a young age. And the illusion of that process was shattered very early, and it quickly became very hard work.

"It’s a long interesting journey to evolve into an adult doing it."

And Jake is "worried" for children who embark on a career in the entertainment industry because of the effect it will have on them later in life.

He added: "Sometimes I worry about kids performing at a young age. It’s a process that involves a lot of illusion."

And the ‘Southpaw’ actor wished he had "more of a sense of humour" during his career, and did not put so much pressure on himself to be "perfect" when he was growing up.

Asked what he would do differently with his career, he said: "In terms of attitude, I’d have more of a sense of humour about everything, and the idea that hard work and enough talent will do you OK, that there is no perfect.

"For a long time I was striving to be the best at what I do, but it’s just not possible. I think it’s a very young idea, and I stopped when I met Denis [Villeneuve], I would say. Because he showed me he is a real artist amidst all this stuff. Eve as his movies become more and more popular, he maintains his artistry. He made me realise that making movies is about the connections between people and what that inspires in you as an artists."

And the star also wishes he made the effort to have a "relationship with every single filmmaker" he worked with throughout his career.

He added: "So when I look back, I wish I was able to cultivate that relationship with ever single filmmaker I worked with, and I am starting to learn how to do that."

Kate Winslet was among the big winners at the Hollywood Film Awards – and celebrated by kissing Allison Janney on stage.

The ‘Mountain Between Us’ actress was presented with the Best Actress award by Shailene Woodley for her role in Woody Allen’s ‘Wonder Wheel’ at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (05.11.17) and then praised Allison, calling her up from her seat for a smooch.

She said: "I know I don’t really know you but I know I just want to be you. I do, or just stroke you or something. I mean, we could always kiss, maybe?"

"Ah, it’s gonna happen! This is an exciting moment!"

Allison, who won the Best Supporting Actress gong for ‘I, Tonya’, got up from her seat and said: "It’s happening now."

James Corden pokes fun at his film career

James Corden poked fun at his own movie career as he hosted the Hollywood Film Awards.

The ‘Late Late Show’ presenter joked he was the ideal person to front the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday night (05.11.17) because he voices Hi-5, a hand emoji in ‘The Emoji Movie’, which was panned by the critics.

He quipped: "Who better to do that than me, the voice of Hi-5 from ‘The Emoji Movie’, currently available on Blu-ray with a Rotten Tomatoes score of nine per cent? It’s a match made in heaven, isn’t it?"

The 39-year-old star also mocked the recent spate of movie remakes in Hollywood, joking that the people behind some of them were "geniuses".

He said: "What a year 2017 has been for movies: there was the reboot of ‘Beauty and the Beast’, the reboot of It, the reboot of ‘The Mummy’, the reboot of ‘Blade Runner’ – you guys, you’ve outdone yourselves!

"I don’t know how you do it, you’re geniuses. Like the Donald Trump pee tape, I’m just excited to know they’re out there and I might just get to see them one day."

Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Winslet took home the Best Actor and Best Actress prizes on the night for their roles in ‘Stronger’ and ‘Wonder Wheel’ respectively, while Gary Oldman was presented with the Hollywood Career Achievement Award.

The event came just a few weeks after James apologized for making jokes about Harvey Weinstein’s alleged sexual assault while hosting a charity event in Los Angeles.

He said: "It’s been weird this week watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water. Ask any of the women who watched him take a bath, it’s weird."

James later said sorry if he caused any offence, insisting he was trying to "shame" Weinstein – who has denied allegations of "non-consensual sex" against him – rather than "his victims".

In a statement released on Twitter, he said: "To be clear, sexual assault is no laughing matter. I was not trying to make light of Harvey’s inexcusable behavior, but to shame him, the abuser, not his victims. I am truly sorry for anyone offended, that was never my intention. (sic)"

Jake Gyllenhaal: I take things too seriously

Jake Gyllenhaal takes life "too seriously" at times.

The 36-year-old actor is one of the most sought-after performers in Hollywood, but for his latest on-screen role in ‘Stronger’ – which tells the story of a Boston Marathon bombing survivor who lost both his legs – Jake found it tough to bring humor to character.

Jake shared: "I think just sometimes understanding his sense of humor in the midst of, like, pretty dark things, that was hard for me.

"Because I think I I sometimes take situations too seriously and I think his sense of humor, how crude it is in the face of situations where you never expect it."

‘Stronger’ is based on the memoir Jeff Bauman, who was injured in the bombing in 2013.

And Jake admitted the experience of learning about Bauman’s subsequent challenges taught him a lot about himself.

He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "What he made me realize is that inside of us all is a superhero.

"Inside of us, in the darkest times, in times where we feel like people we love that were close to us are struggling and we won’t make it through another day, or another hour, a minute, or a second, there is that thing inside of us, and Jeff shows us that every day."

In fact, Jake has come to see his latest role as an "opportunity" to become a stronger person.

The Hollywood star explained: "Playing a character like that in a film was an opportunity for me to learn that about myself and see my own faults and see my own weaknesses, but also, as Jeff reminds me every day, see my own strengths in places that I never thought I could be strong."

Kevin Spacey ‘fifteenth choice’ to host Tony Awards

Kevin Spacey will host this year’s Tony Awards but claims he was the "15th choice" for the job.

The ‘Usual Suspects’ actor – who previously won a Tony in 1991 after starring in ‘Lost in Yonkers’ and has appeared in six other Broadway productions – is delighted to have been asked to preside over the annual ceremony, which honors excellence in theatre, but joked producers didn’t really want him.

In a statement, the 57-year-old actor said: "I was their second choice for ‘Usual Suspects’, fourth choice for ‘American Beauty’ and 15th choice to host this year’s Tony Awards.

"I think my career is definitely going in the right direction.

"Maybe I can get shortlisted to host the Oscars if everyone else turns it down."

Kevin received a nomination for ‘The Iceman Cometh’ and last appeared on Broadway in ‘A Moon for the Misbegotten’.

The Oscar winner, who was the artistic director of the Old Vic theatre in London for more than a decade, follows in the footsteps of the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and last year’s presenter James Corden in hosting the ceremony.

A press release from the show team reads: "We are thrilled to have Kevin who has mastered the Broadway stage, the big and small screens and the West End host this year’s Tony awards.

"His spirit and passion for live theatre makes him the perfect host."

Charlotte St Martin, president of the Broadway League and Heath Hitchens, president of the American Theatre Wing added: "We can’t wait to see the energy he brings to Radio City on Tony night."

Last year ‘Hamilton’ took him 11 wins and will be soon making its West End debut this November.

Kevin will be just one of the stars appearing at the ceremony, with the likes of Bette Midler, Sally Field, Jake Gyllenhaal, Nathan Lane, Glenn Close, Mark Ruffalo, Kevin Kline and Laura Linney, planning to attend the glitzy event on June 11.

Nominations for the 71st Annual Tony Awards will be announced at the beginning of May.

Blake Lively gave birth to sound of Let’s Get It On

Blake Lively gave birth to the sound of Marvin Gaye’s hit ‘Let’s Get It On’.

The 29-year-old actress – who has two daughters, James, two, and six-month-old Ines, with her husband Ryan Reynolds – has revealed she gave birth to one of her children while the well-known track from 1973 was played in the background.

During a game of Fact or Fiction with Michael Kors for Glamour magazine, Blake shared: "My husband played ‘Let’s Get It On’ while I was in labor."

Despite the unusual scenario, Blake was happy to hear the familiar tune in the background, admitting it is her favorite song of all time.

She said: "That’s like my favorite song, so I’m just gonna go with fact."

And the blonde beauty – who married Ryan in 2012 – revealed the surreal situation even prompted a chuckle from her doctor.

The ‘Café Society’ star said: "My doctor was laughing so hard I thought she was going to drop my baby."

Meanwhile, Ryan claimed recently that parenting has given him "anxiety".

The 40-year-old actor loves being a father, but he now finds he is constantly in a rush and has to cram things into short bursts of time.

Ryan said: "I think you’re just more desperate in everything you do cause you’re like, ‘I’ve got 10 minutes to do this, and then I gotta get home for a thing, and a thing, and a thing…’

"There’s just no time anymore, so you’re hardened by it. Anxiety, I think, that’s probably it."

However, Ryan does like to find time to hang out with his friend and ‘Life’ co-star Jake Gyllenhaal because they have such a great bond.

He recently confessed: "There’s a certain harmony that comes when we’re both together."
