On the verge of retirement, Elton John did the improbable

Elton John, the legendary singer and musician whose career has already been punctuated by major events, has joined the select EGOT club thanks to his documentary Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium.

The film-concert, broadcast on Disney+, immortalized Elton John’s final performance on his North American tour, and won an Emmy Award at last Monday’s (January 15) gala.

With this Emmy, Elton John completed the grand slam of the four highest honors in the U.S. entertainment industry, having already won a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony (EGOT).

Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, Alan Menken and Audrey Hepburn are also part of this very select club!

Of course, the singer also has an impressive collection of Grammy Awards, testifying to his great influence in the music world.

The shocking death of Lance Reddick was felt on John Wick 4’s red carpet

The stars of John Wick 4 joined together at the film’s Los Angeles premiere to pay tribute to fellow actor Lance Reddick, who died last Friday at the age of 60.

Visibly troubled by Reddick’s tragic passing, Keanu Reeves, Bob Odenkirk and Laurence Fishburne donned blue ribbons on the red carpet to honor their counterpart and friend.

Former colleagues of Reddick were also present at the premiere, including Titus Welliver from the Bosch series.

From his TV and movie roles, and even his character of Commander Zavala in the video game Destiny, Reddick was loved by his many fans. In fact, Destiny players gathered in the game to pay him a touching tribute.

Actually, tributes are coming from everywhere since last Friday, a testament to the actor’s strong skills and popularity.

Xavier Dolan Xavier Dolan is thinking of stopping his career!

Indeed, Xavier Dolan has expressed the feeling that he doesn’t necessarily need to tell stories anymore, as well as to express himself in that way, reports the Journal de Montréal.

He explains that he would like to take time to be with his loved ones while possibly continuing to direct commercials… and maybe even build a house in the country!

In fact, he would simply like to live other experiences and the star seems still a but stunned by the cold reception given to his two most recent films, The Death & Life of John F. Donovan and Matthias & Maxime.

The acclaimed director still likes his work, but the long stages of producing a project are clearly starting to weigh heavily on the process.

Xavier Dolan says in the interview reported by JDM and QUB that he could continue if he “could shoot a movie or a series and then disappear,” but ultimately feels he’s “not really cut out for it anymore.”

Time will tell if Dolan likes the good parts of his job enough to stay in it, but that’s not good news for his many fans right now.

Of course, a souvenir photo was attached to this powerful message filled with love and tenderness.

Sincere condolences to the iconic Friends star, who is currently going through this tough time.
