Keanu Reeves set to star in Apple exclusive ‘Outcome,’ directed by Jonah Hill

Apple Original Films has picked up ‘Outcome,’ the dark comedy set to be directed by Jonah Hill, who co-wrote the project alongside Ezra Woods.

Actor Keanu Reeves, who is known for starring in hit movie series such as The Matrix and John Wick is in negotiations to star in the film alongside Hill, adding to the high-list talent set to take the stage.

Reeves will play Reef, “a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hill finds himself in good company production-wise with the help of his partner Matt Dines and the company’s Ali Goodwin.

‘Outcome’ landing as an Apple Studios production marks an impressive run from Hill, who is also working with the company on a Grateful Dead biopic alongside the legendary Martin Scorsese. The biopic will see Hill produce and star while Scorsese directs alongside his film company, Sikelia Productions.

The deal also comes at a big time for Keanu Reeves, who is coming off starring in John Wick: Chapter 4, which opened to a franchise-best $73.5 million at the domestic box office.

Jonah Hill hospitalised by fake cocaine on Wolf of Wall Street

Jonah Hill was hospitalized by the fake cocaine he had to snort for his role in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’.

The 32-year-old actor played hard-partying stockbroker Donnie Azoff in the Golden Globe winning movie about the life of fraudulent trader Jordan Belfort – portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio.

For many scenes, he and DiCaprio had to take ‘coke’, which was replicated by the crew by using vitamin powder but Jonah inhaled so much he ended up developing bronchitis.

During an appearance on US talk show ‘Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons’, he revealed: "I had to be hospitalized. If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day. I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my f***ing head!"

Jonah is playing another drug abuser, real life arms dealer Efraim Diveroli, in ‘War Dogs’.

And the actor-and-screenwriter has shared the secret to how he pretends to be high on screen – energy drinks and "chaotic" music.

He said: "It’s interesting pretending to be on drugs. I use music. I’ll make a playlist for every scene, so I’ll try to make, like, music that (made me feel) jittery and chaotic … and then just drink a ton of coffee and Red Bull."

In ‘War Dogs’, Jonah stars alongside Miles Teller as Miami-based friends Efraim and David Packouz who, during the Iraq War, exploit a little-known government initiative that allowed small businesses to bid on US military contracts.

They then land a $300 million contract to supply weapons to the America-allied Afghan armed forces with weapons and find themselves drawn into a world filled with shady and corrupt characters.

The movie is based on a true story and has been adapted from Guy Lawson’s Rolling Stone article and subsequent book ‘Arms and the Dudes’.

Jonah Hill mocked famous guests at Adam Levine’s wedding

Jonah Hill couldn’t resist making a joke about how many celebrities his friend Adam Levine at his wedding to Behati Prinsloo.

The 32-year-old comedian officiated proceedings when the Maroon 5 frontman tied the knot with the Victoria’s Secret Angel on July 19, 2014, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and was chosen for the role by Adam because they have been friends since junior high school.

Jonah recalls scanning the room at the reception and noticing a lot of very famous faces and couldn’t resist making a gag about Adam’s choice of guests.

During an appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ on Sirius XM Radio, he revealed: "The joke I wrote was like, ‘Adam and I grew up together … it’s so nice to see all the people we grew up skateboarding with … like Stevie Nicks and Robert Downey Jr…’ " Jonah remembers he was very nervous about doing a good job on the day and once his responsibilities were over he felt very "drained".

He said: "I left the party after like 30 minutes."

Despite his concerns, the ‘War Dogs’ star was honored to be asked by Adam, 37, to do the job because he considers the ‘Animals’ singer to be his "brother" and their dads were friends from school themselves.

He explained: "Adam Levine is genuinely like family to me. We’re literally like brothers."

As a teenager, Jonah went on to study Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California, and was a student there at the same time as former ‘Hills’ star Stephanie Pratt.

The pair have remained friends and last week she attended a screening of his new movie ‘War Dogs’ in London and praised him for being hilarious at school.

She told BANG Showbiz: "We went to the same private school … He was just a joker, a clown. Super self-deprecating and he was friends with everyone."

The pair are not the only Crossroads High School alumni to go on to become famous.

Other star students include Stephanie’s brother Spencer Pratt, Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Zooey Deschanel, Michael Bay and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at a gala screening of Jonah’s latest movie ‘War Dogs’ in London on Thursday night (08.11.16), the 30-year-old blonde said: "We went to the same private school, yeah … He was just a joker, a clown. Super self-deprecating and he was friends with everyone."

The pair are not the only Crossroads High School alumni to go on to become famous.

Jonah Hill: ‘Leonardo DiCaprio left me terrified’

Leonardo DiCaprio left Jonah Hill "scared s***less" when he pretended to be a crazed fan.

Jonah was standing outside a store in New York when the 41-year-old actor suddenly appeared in front of him, clicking away on his phone, prompting the ‘Super Bad’ star to visibly jump in surprise and Jonah admitted it left him terrified.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "It was funny! I was totally taken off guard. I was scared s**tless."

However, he quickly realized it was just Leonardo pranking him and the pair shared a huge hug as they laughed off the joke.

Meanwhile, that wasn’t the only recent case of mistaken identity for Johah, who admitted he confused Drake with his nutritionist.

The 32-year-old actor wanted to get in shape after gaining weight for his role in ‘War Dogs’, so he visited a dietary expert, who asked him to email him his food intake for the day, leading to an unfortunate mix up.

He recalled: "I was just like at home, and I was bored, I was like ‘Oh, I didn’t email this guy.’ So, I wrote down like yogurt, like salad, chicken, whatever, and I sent it to him.

"I was looking later, like an hour later, through my sent messages. He didn’t email back. He usually just says OK or something, and it must’ve been ‘D-R.’ because it was ‘Doctor’, and I’d sent it to Drake.

"So Drake – who I don’t know well at all – just got an email from me saying ‘Yogurt, salad, chicken’ and then just Jonah at the end of it.’ "

Jonah is so embarrassed by the confusion, he joked he will now have to avoid the rapper in the future.

He added: "He never wrote back. Never spoke to the guy. Another guy I’ve gotta duck for the rest of my life."

Jonah Hill mistook Drake for nutritionist

Jonah Hill confused Drake with his nutritionist.

"So Drake – who I don’t know well at all – just got an email from me saying ‘Yoghurt, salad, chicken’ and then just Jonah at the end of it.’ "

Jonah is so embarrassed by the confusion, he joked he will now have to avoid the rapper in the future.

He added: "He never wrote back. Never spoke to the guy. Another guy I’ve gotta duck for the rest of my life."

The actor had decided to see the nutritionist on advice from his muscular friend and ’22 Jump Street’ co-star Channing Tatum.

He explained on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’: "I called Channing Tatum and I was like, ‘Hey if I eat less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape?’ and he was like ‘Yeah, you dumb mother f**ker, of course you will, it’s the simplest thing in the entire world’.

"He gave me the number of these guys."

It seems Jonah is used to being mocked by his friends, as video footage has emerged of him being startled by Leonardo DiCaprio, with his ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ co-star pretending to be a fan who was taking pictures of him.

Jonah was standing outside a store when the ‘Revenant’ actor suddenly appeared in front of him, clicking away on his phone, prompting the ‘Super Bad’ star to visibly jump in surprise.

When he realized it was his pal, the two men shared a laugh and a hug.

Lindsay Lohan demanded table of men at GQ Awards

Lindsay Lohan demanded to be seated at a table full of guys at the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night (09.02.14).

The 28-year-old actress attended the ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London where she presented the Best Chef prize to Tom Kerridge.

However, she sent organisers into a spin by reportedly getting her team to demand she be placed with men because she gets on better with the opposite sex than she does with women.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ”Lohan’s people were clear that she wanted to be on a table during the lengthy awards surrounded by men. She gets on better with guys and had spent time putting together a sexy look so wanted to be admired.”

Organisers also reportedly had to keep Lindsay away from her ex-fling Jamie Dornan – who is now married to Amelia Warner.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star listed the ’50 Shades of Grey’ actor – who won the Vertu Breakthrough Award – as one of her past conquests as part of her rehab treatment and bosses wanted to ensure the pair didn’t run into each other.

Lindsay was just one star among a galaxy in attendance including Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West, Bradley Cooper, Ringo Starr, Pharrell Williams, Jonah Hill, Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora.

Adam Levine’s wedding officiated by Jonah Hill

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s wedding was officiated by Jonah Hill.

The funnyman made the 300 guests at the event in Mexico laugh, but also set aside a few poignant words for his friend as he tied the knot with the Victoria’s Secret model.

A source told E! news: ”Jonah was hysterical. He was telling so many jokes, but then in the middle would be so sweet and sincere.

”He also talked about how sweet Behati is and how perfect they are for one another.”

One of Jonah’s quips was about how he and Adam used to skateboard with Robert Downey Jr. and Stevie Nicks when they were young.

The source explained: ”He set up the joke perfectly. His timing was amazing. Everyone was giggling.”

As well as Jonah officiating, Prinsloo’s dad, who is a minister, also gave the happy couple a blessing as they married on the beach in the evening.

During the service the bride and groom read vows that they had written themselves, and afterward guests were treated to a reception with plenty of food and drink.

The source added: ”It was all fresh, seared tuna, lovely salads, everything was organic and amazing. Drinks were flowing. There was every kind of mojito you can imagine.”

Adam and Behati are now set to honeymoon in South Africa.

Jonah Hill would try drugs for film role

Jonah Hill would try drugs for a film role.

The 29-year-old actor is earning rave reviews for his role as Donnie Azoff in new period crime caper ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and he admits he would have ”genuinely” liked to try a discontinued sedative-hypnotic substance called quaalude, production on which was halted in 1985 due to addiction and widespread misuse, to prepare for the role.

He said: ”I tried as hard as I could to find a quaalude, and I could not find any. I mean, I’m not, like, a drug person, but I genuinely would’ve tried one to see.”

Instead, the actor was provided a ”drug expert” on set and also relied on the expertise of his director, Martin Scorsese, 71, who had first-hand experience with the drug.

The filmmaker added: ”I also remembered things from years ago. I had my times. I said, ‘You try to form the word, but it isn’t there.’ The tongue and the mouth, the palate just won’t respond.”

Jonah confessed was awestruck when he first began work on the film because he is such a huge fan of both Scorsese and his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

He recalled to The Hollywood Reporter: ”The first rehearsals were just the three of us. For me, obviously, it was intimidating – this is my favourite director and my favourite actor, and now I was working with them. You have to check that at the door at some point.”
