The ‘Come And Get It’ singer’s rollercoaster romance with the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker is said to have ended recently, but her mother Mandy Teefey has suggested she would be the last one to know what the situation is right now.

Asked by E! News for an update on her 25-year-old daughter’s relationship with the 24-year-old pop star, she simply replied: "You would know before I did. We don’t talk about it."

It comes after reports claiming despite the apparent split, Justin still has his former flame on his mind.

An insider told People: "He isn’t dating. He thinks and talks about Selena all the time. The chapter with her is definitely not finished."

Although he has made an effort to develop a better relationship with Selena’s friends and family – but they’re not convinced he’s a suitable boyfriend.

The insider added: "Justin does care what her friends and family think and has tried to win them over, but some of them are just over it. They’re there for Selena and support her no matter what, but don’t feel like they need to welcome back Justin.

"If you notice, Selena keeps her friends and Justin separate – when she’s with Justin, it’s just Justin, and when she’s with her old friends, it’s just them. They don’t really overlap anymore."

Selena’s mother has previously questioned whether Justin, 24, is a suitable boyfriend for her daughter.

And the ‘Wolves’ hitmaker is said to be focused on rebuilding her relationship with Mandy.

The source told Entertainment Tonight: "She wants to repair her relationship with her mother, that’s a priority for her, too."

Selena Gomez is focusing on spending "quality time" with her friends.

The ‘Heart Wants It Wants’ hitmaker – who reportedly split from Justin Bieber recently – is "just trying to enjoy herself" in Sydney, Australia with her pals.

A source told People magazine: "She isn’t focusing on the negativity. She’s just trying to enjoy herself and is spending quality time with her friends. She’s happy and healthy."

The 25-year-old star recently hit out at the "beauty myth" in society which she claims "traps modern women".

Selena wrote on Instagram at the time: "The beauty myth – an obsession with physical perfection that traps modern woman in an endless cycle of hopelessness, self consciousness, and self-hatred as she tries to fulfill society’s impossible definition of flawless beauty. I chose to take care of myself because I want to, not to prove anything to anyone. Wind in her sails."

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that Selena’s pals think Justin is a "bad influence".

The insider shared: "There’s a big crew of people [in Selena’s circle] who really don’t like Justin and they especially don’t like him with Selena. A lot of her friends really don’t like him. They think he’s bad news for Selena and don’t approve of the relationship. They think he’s a bad influence on her and she becomes really dependent on him. She’s so generous and loyal and puts 100% of herself into everything, including her relationships, which isn’t always the healthiest.

Justin is not with Selena on her current trip to Australia, where is seen messing about in her video with friends, including two unidentified males.

It has been reported that Selena’s pals think Justin is a "bad influence".

An insider explained: "Selena is very delicate; her ‘comeback’ to the spotlight has been tough – especially with the interest in her personal life with Justin and her mother.

"She is taking time to herself. This is not the first time she has done this."

Despite this, the suggestion from Selena and Justin is that in the long term, they hope to rekindle their romance.

The insider continued: "Justin and Selena decided to take a break to give her family some more time to heal and take in the idea of her and Justin being a couple again."

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are trying to work through their relationship issues.

The on/off couple have decided to put some space between them for a short period while they both focus on themselves and deal with their own problems.

A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "[The distance between them is] not because they are broken up or taking a break… [But] that doesn’t mean things are perfect between them. They have issues just like any other couple."

The decision to take some temporary space comes after Selena – who underwent a kidney transplant last year – opened up about her struggles with mental health.

The source explained: "She’s still working hard, looking after her health, and doing what’s good for her… Justin isn’t walking all over her."

But, not only are they trying to deal with their own problems and manage a relationship in the spotlight, Selena’s mother Mandy Teefey isn’t happy about their recent reunion.

The insider said: "It’s not easy for Selena to be stuck in the middle. Her family not liking him is the biggest issue – but if they can get through that or if her family changes their tune, things will be a lot smoother."

Mandy addressed the 25-year-old singer’s relationship recently when she claimed she hadn’t spoken to 24-year-old Justin – even over text message – in "years".

However, she also said that Selena is old enough to make her own decisions about her personal life as long as she’s "happy, safe and healthy."

She explained: "Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy.

"She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health. I do not control her the way it has been portrayed. Selena is an adult and can make her own choices."

Justin and Selena first started dating in 2009 but have been on and off for years.

Their most recent reunion came last year after Selena split from The Weeknd.

The ‘Sorry’ singer rekindled his romance with the ‘Wolves’ hitmaker in November, but they are taking a break following a string of rows, though insiders insist they will "absolutely get back together" and have stayed in regular contact, even though they’re not spending time together.

The source said: "They were having a lot of little disagreements recently and one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to ‘break up,’ however, they’ve been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed.

"They will absolutely get back together and they are not over, but they both need some time away from each other."

Another insider compared the pair – who previously had an on/off relationship from 2011 to 2014 – have been "having issues" and admitted they had found the "pressure" of conducting their romance in the public eye very difficult to deal with.

The source told E! News: "They both have expressed that they have been feeling overwhelmed with a lot of pressure that has come with their public relationship, and haven’t been seeing eye to eye on things."

Selena, 25, is currently in New York and hasn’t seen Justin since the day before his birthday, which was on March 1.

And she’s said to be using her time apart from the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker to try and "mend" her relationship with her mother Mandy Teefey, who was unhappy about her getting back together with Justin.

The source said: "Things are not amazing between them."

While they may be on a break, the ‘Bad Liar’ singer made was was thought to be her first public acknowledgement of her relationship with Justin with a birthday tribute last week.

Justin Bieber looks set to launch his own clothing line after placing trademark requests on three possible brand names.

The 23-year-old singer is believed to be planning a move into the world of fashion, after documents were obtained which involve the star seeking to secure trademarks on three brand names based around his middle name, Drew.

According to The Blast, the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker has filed requests for trademarks against the names ‘The House of Drew, ‘La Maison Drew’, and just ‘Drew’.

The documents also list the "goods and services" of all three trademark requests as "clothing and wearing apparel", and were submitted by Bieber Time Holdings, LLC.

Under the "goods and services" section of the application, each trademark request reads: "Clothing and wearing apparel, namely, shirts, shorts, jeans, jackets, skirts, slacks, blouses, dresses, vests, coats, sweaters, scarves, swimsuits, robes, infants’ and children’s clothing, namely, t-shirts, sweaters, long sleeved shirts, shorts, pants, jumpers, jumpsuits, overalls, one-piece playsuits, pajamas, dresses."

Each of the requests was filed on February 16, though as of the time of writing it is unclear when the ‘Love Yourself’ singer is planning on announcing his first collection.

Justin’s decision to list baby clothes in his documents comes after it was recently revealed he is to become a big brother again after his father Jeremy – who also has Jazmyn, nine, and Jaxon, eight, from a previous relationship – and his new wife Chelsey Rebelo announced they are expecting their first child together.

Jeremy shared a photo on Instagram of Chelsey, 29, showing off her growing bump in a floral bikini.

He captioned the post: "My beautiful wife and… (sic)"

Jeremy and Chelsey tied the knot in Jamaica earlier this week, and Justin – who attended the wedding alongside his girlfriend Selena Gomez – served as a groomsman during the ceremony.
