Justin Bieber banned from China

Justin Bieber has been banned from performing in China.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture has stopped the "controversial" ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker from playing in the country due to his "bad behavior" and because they are making efforts to "purify" the entertainment industry in the nation.

They said in a statement: "Justin Bieber is a talented singer but is also a controversial young foreign idol. We understand that there are records of his bad behavior, whether it is in his private life abroad or on stage.

"His inappropriate manner has caused public discontent. In order to regulate the market order of show business in China and purify the market environment, it was decided that performers of inappropriate behavior will not be welcomed."

The Bureau didn’t offer any examples of their claims, but the 23-year-old singer doesn’t appear to have been hit with a lifetime ban.

They added: "We hope Justin Bieber is able to improve his conduct as he grows up and will once again find public favor."

Justin performed in China in 2013 and his visit hit headlines when he was spotted being carried up the Great Wall of China by his bodyguards, which some in the country deemed offensive.

This comes after Placebo had to axe their Summer Sonic Festival performance in Shanghai, which was scheduled for September, after posting a picture of Tibet’s spiritual leader Dalai Lama, who China consider to be a dangerous separatist, on their Instagram account.

What’s more, Bjork was banned from China in 2008 after calling for Tibet independence during a concert in Shanghai, and Oasis and Maroon 5 have also angered China by voicing support for Tibet.

Justin Bieber visits sick children

Justin Bieber surprised his fans at a children’s hospital on Monday (17.07.17).

The 23-year-old singer visited young patients at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Southern California, where he greeted staff and prayed with the youngsters who are being treated for different conditions at the medical centre.

The news has been documented on social media by Brandie Runner, whose daughter Victoria was "stunned" when she saw the ‘Despacito’ hitmaker walk through into her unit.

Alongside a video of Victoria with the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker, which was shared on Brandie’s Instagram account, her caption read: "So… our nurse comes in and asks Victoria if she’s been asked about having a visitor? We say no. She ask if she likes "x" person. She says YES. Nurse exits the room.

"We discuss if she’s joking or not. I explain that famous people come visit sick kids at children’s hospitals all the time.

"In this person walks. Introduces themselves to Victoria and we sit stunned. Victoria’s smile was amazing and huge. Prayed with us and gave tori a great big hug.

"Ok. Anyone wanna guess who her visitor was?!! #justinbeiber (sic)."

Brandie also uploaded a video of Victoria’s encounter with Justin, which saw her in tears as she chatted with her idol.

And the family have hailed the special moment as a "blessing", as they were surprised the Canadian heartthrob had "this big of a heart" to take time out of his busy schedule to meet with the children.

The post read: "The actual video of @vickyyrunnner meeting @justinbieber at #CHOC. We still can’t believe Justin Bieber came in to meet my chicklette. What a blessing this day was to her (& I). I never knew he had this big of a heart. #spendtimewithsickkids #bieberfan #icantbelievethis (sic)."

A fellow patient at the centre, Brittney Cruz, has also taken to the photo-sharing site to share pictures of her with Justin pulling funny faces, and it is believed the pair shared a heart-to-heart conversation as well, which she has claimed has "definitely touched her heart forever".

Her post read: "This is the side the world deserves to see of him. His beautiful soul and personality that definitely touched my heart forever. God is so good man! (sic)."

Ellen Page dating Emma Portner?

Ellen Page has added fuel to speculation she is dating Emma Portner.

The ‘Inception’ actress was spotted sharing a smooch with the 21-year-old dancer in West Hollywood, Los Angeles on Thursday (13.07.17), appearing to confirm recent rumors they are now a couple.

According to MailOnline, Broadway Dance Centre instructor Emma was seen resting her leg on Ellen’s lap as they embraced outside Café Gratitude.

Earlier in the day, Emma took to her Instagram page to share a picture of the pair embracing and congratulate 30-year-old Ellen on her Emmy nomination for ‘Gaycation’, a documentary series exploring LGBTQ cultures around the world.

She wrote: "Unbelievably proud of @ellenpage, @ianjamesdaniel and the ENTIRE #gaycation team on their Emmy Nomination this morning. Bravery and strength all around. (sic)"

Emma is known for starring on Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose World Tour’ and in his ‘Life Is Worth Living’ music video.

Ellen – who came out as gay in February 2014 – was in a relationship with Samantha Thomas, but the pair haven’t been spotted together in public since January.

The ‘Juno’ actress previously admitted she found it "toxic" hiding her sexuality and is much happier since publicly revealing she is homosexual.

She said: "I was just done. It’s so toxic to just be hiding. It becomes so consuming without you even knowing it’s consuming you. You become so complacent in this reality you create.

"It’s like a bucket, and it’s filling up and filing up and filling up – and finally it just spills over. And I felt guilty for not being out for the LGBT community. I was like, ‘Dude, just say you’re gay.’

"For me, it was a great opportunity to be honest, to share certain elements of the pain that I went through.

"The reality is, there are very few young people out as actors, so I was hoping to speak to a lot of the issues so it wouldn’t just seem like, ‘Hey, look, I’m gay.’"

Ariana Grande ‘moved’ after being made honorary citizen of Manchester

Ariana Grande feels "moved" after being made an honorary citizen of Manchester.

The 24-year-old singer has been handed the honour after she organised a charity concert at Emirates Old Trafford to raise money for victims of the terrorist attack that took place following her Manchester Arena gig on May 22, when 23 people were killed and 250 were injured.

Alongside a report confirming the news, Ariana wrote: "I don’t know what to say. Words don’t suffice. I’m moved and honored. My heart is very much still there. I love you. Thank you. (sic)"

Ariana was widely praised for the instrumental role she played in organising the One Love Manchester benefit gig, which featured a star-studded line-up of musical guests that included Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Liam Gallagher, Little Mix and Miley Cyrus, all of whom threw their support behind the fund-raising cause.

Her stellar efforts led to calls for Ariana to be recognised by the city of Manchester.

And on Wednesday (07.12.17), those pleas were heeded when councillors voted unanimously to give Ariana – who also visited a number of people in hospital when she returned to the city, two weeks after the tragedy – the prestigious title to mark her contribution.

Council leader Sir Richard Leese put forward the motion and called Ariana "a young American woman for whom it would have been understandable if she never wanted to see this place again".

He continued: "But no – instead she, as an artist, a performer, was determined that she would not perform again until she had returned to Manchester to perform.

"In doing so, she brought comfort to thousands, she raised millions for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund and became the first patron of that fund. And that’s why I propose that Ariana Grande is made the first honorary citizen of the city of Manchester."

Tyga has new girlfriend

Tyga has reportedly got himself a new girlfriend.

The ‘Rack City’ hitmaker sparked speculation he’s moved on from Kylie Jenner at Wireless Festival, in Finsbury Park, North London, on Sunday (07.09.17) after he was spotted cozying up to a busty blonde, who is the "spitting image" of his ex-girlfriend, backstage during Ty Dolla $ign’s performance following his own set on the main stage earlier that day.

A source exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "He’s been seen backstage with a blonde girl. She looks exactly the same as his ex Kylie but with a blonde wig."

The identity of the mystery girl is not yet known but she appeared to be in her element as the 27-year-old rapper tickled her hand as they watched the gig.

The pair’s public display of affection came just hours after it was revealed that Travis Scott had asked to move his performance slot to the Saturday (07.08.17) so that his girlfriend Kylie, her sister Kendall and their friend Bella Hadid could see his set at the three-day music event without bumping into Tyga or Bella’s former partner The Weeknd.

A source said previously: "Travis Scott wanted to be separated from Tyga and The Weeknd so that Bella Hadid and Kylie Jenner could come."

Travis began dating the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star at the beginning of March, but they didn’t confirm their relationship until April when they were spotted getting cosy at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.

The 19-year-old star split from Tyga following three years of on and off dating in April, and despite his efforts to try and win her back, she’s not interested and has proved that by getting her ‘t’ tattoo – a tribute to the rapper – covered up earlier this month.

Bella, on the other hand, split from The Weeknd earlier this year following two years of dating and he has since gone on to date Justin Bieber’s ex Selena Gomez.

DJ Khaled gets starstruck around Beyonce

DJ Khaled is always "starstruck" around Beyonce.

The ‘I’m the One’ hitmaker has collaborated with a number of high-profile artists, including Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper, but he claims gets "quiet and shy" whenever he meets the ‘Single Ladies’ singer – who has daughter Blue Ivy, five, and newborn twins Rumi and Sir with husband Jay-Z – because he’s so in awe of her.

Speaking to NME, the rapper, whose real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled, said: "I’m always starstruck around Beyonce. I have so much respect for her as a mother and as an artist.

"I watched her and Jay Z raise their beautiful daughter while on tour and still be a real family. I’m always quiet, shy and try not to do or say too much around her – because she’s the boss."

Ironically, the rapper has collaborated with the multi-award winning pop star on his newest album, ‘Grateful’ as well as teaming up with her husband Jay, Drake, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Calvin Harris and Bieber again.

Last October, the 41-year-old producer became a father to a son, Asahd – who he has with fiancee Nicole Tuck – and his birth inspired the title of his album because having a child has made him more "grateful" for life.

He said: "I’ve always been grateful for life, but now it’s something even more special.

"I thought I knew what love and joy was and then I met my son."

The ‘Wild Thoughts’ hitmaker also admitted his long-time friend Puff Daddy throws the most "extravagant" parties and he always knows he’ll have a good time with the rap mogul.

He said: "Puff Daddy is probably the most extravagant person who can throw a party besides myself.

"You know there’s gonna be good energy and he’s gonna go all-out.

"My advice for going to a Daddy party: stay fly at all times. Be fly and be great."

Justin Bieber is a ‘good Christian’

Justin Bieber is a "good Christian".

The ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker has visited three Hillsong Church events in two years while in Australia but pastor Carl Lentz has quashed speculation the 23-year-old singer is paid to attend and insisted the star is simply using his faith to guide himself through new chapters in his life.

The pastor told Australian TV show ‘Sunrise’: "We don’t pay him to attend. He comes on his own.

"I think that Justin is a good Christian. I don’t think his problems are behind him, but we all have to deal with other stuff to come.

"His relationship with Jesus is changing his life daily. It is one of those things where you never really get it, it takes a while to keep growing as a person. Every day he is getting older, and with each chapter comes new growth… This is what conference is all about.

"Everyone here would buy a ticket and be a part of it. He feels like it is a big part of his year."

When he does attend the conference, Justin "just listens" and enjoys the chance to be "normal".

The pastor said: "He sings, does what everybody else does. He does not perform. He is not on stage, he is just a face in the crowd. His face is really recognizable but for him, it is just a chance for him to be as normal as he can."

The ‘Believe’ singer previously attended the 2015 Hillsong Conference with model Hailey Baldwin and in March this year, he was at Hillsong’s Australia Color Conference launch with Carl.

Just has previously credited his "relationship with God" for helping him to stay positive and turning his life around after previously running into trouble for his partying.

He wrote on his Instagram account: "I’m not religious nor do i think I have ANYTHING figured out that’s why I call out on God to help me through what I can’t do on my own. Developing my relationship with God has been the coolest thing I’ve experienced, to know that I’m not alone and I don’t have to live in fear. (sic)"

Hailey Baldwin isn’t trying to ‘make religion cool’

Hailey Baldwin has insisted she isn’t trying to "make religion cool".

The 20-year-old model is one of many celebrity devotees – including Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Cody Simpson – of the Hillsong Church, and has said being open about her faith isn’t about making it a fashion trend, but instead lets people know it’s "okay" to be spiritual.

She said: "I don’t think it’s about making religion cool. I think it’s about vocalising [that] spirituality is OK. I started going to that church on my own when I was 17 or 16."

Whilst on a trip to Sydney last year for the worship group’s five-day conference, Hailey – who is the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and Kennya Baldwin – revealed she had the opportunity to meet with Hillsong founder Brian Houston and his wife Bobbie.

She added to Yahoo7 Be: "I’ve known them for a while and I wanted to be able to go see Brian and Bobbie who started the church out here."

It comes after ‘Sorry’ hitmaker Justin Bieber – who reportedly romanced the blonde beauty last year – recently landed in Australia for this year’s conference.

The 23-year-old musician has long been a follower of religion, and it was previously reported that during his ‘Purpose’ tour, the star had been holding bible studies classes for his crew.

A source claimed in December: "Backstage on his ‘Purpose’ tour, Justin has been sitting down with his opening acts and encouraging them to put Christ before everything.

"His aim is to convert the people he loves and warn other stars against the evils of the industry."

The ‘What Do You Mean?’ musician reportedly took the step toward religion after he realised he didn’t want to "go off the rails" like other celebrities before him.

The source added: "Justin’s life changed for the better since he found God and he has been making better decisions now that he has found peace within his faith.

"After seeing so many other celebs go off the rails, he wants to help his friends find the joy and happiness he has."

Drake Bell devastated by ex’s death

Drake Bell has been left "crushed" by the death of his ex-girlfriend.

The 31-year-old actor was distraught to learn YouTube star Stevie Ryan – who he dated from 2005-2006 – had passed away in an apparent suicide on July 1 and described the situation as a "nightmare".

Alongside a photo of himself and Stevie from when they were together, he tweeted: "No no no!!!! I can NOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!!!! Please wake me from this nightmare @StevieRyan I loved you and will forever miss you! (sic)"

He later added: "This is too much. My heart is crushed. @StevieRyan I love you and miss you…"

Stevie, 33, passed away at her home over the weekend, with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office listing her death as suicide by hanging.

The ‘Sex with Brody’ co-presenter’s death came just a day after she posted a tribute to her beloved grandfather after he passed away.

She wrote on Twitter: "The man of my dreams will now only be in my dreams.

"I’ll miss you everyday, forever. I love you my Pa."

And just a week ago, Stevie – who has spoken openly about her depression – discussed her grandparent’s death on the podcast she co-hosted, ‘Mentally Ch(ill)’.

She admitted: "I’m just worried that this is going to send me into a deeper depression."

Stevie, whose YouTube channel was ‘Little Loca’, was known for her parodies of celebrities including Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

She previously said of her spoofs: "No matter who you are… You can be the most talented person in the world and you put anything on the Internet and all you’re going to get is hateful responses.

"I didn’t know that at the time. I don’t think anyone knew that yet. I was like, ‘Oh hell no they didn’t! These b***hes do not know what they just asked for!’

"So then I created ‘Little Loca’ thinking, ‘I’m going to hand YouTube its ass right now.’ I created ‘Little Loca’ and thought I’d just do it and freak people out."

Justin Bieber and Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed a lads’ night out in London on Saturday (07.01.17).

The 23-year-old singer made a conscious effort to lift Brooklyn’s spirits after his first photography book, titled ‘What I See’, was panned by critics – and so Justin invited the 18-year-old star to have fun with him in the UK capital.

A source said: "Justin was keen to get the party started early and kicked off his time in the capital with a lads’ night out on Saturday.

"Brooklyn’s had a tough week after his book got savaged by critics, so Justin texted him and asked him along."

The celebrity duo enjoyed a quiet meal together before they headed to Tape nightclub in Mayfair, where they revelled in the party atmosphere.

The insider told The Sun newspaper: "They went for a low-key meal at the Ours restaurant in Kensington, before moving on to the Chiltern Firehouse for a couple.

"They finished up in Tape nightclub in Mayfair and Justin was clearly in the mood to party. At one point, he stripped off his top and was swinging it round, dancing in just his trousers and beanie hat."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn recently revealed he also hangs out at the pub with Ed Sheeran.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham said he enjoys going for a drink with the ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker because they can discuss their love of tattoos together.

Brooklyn said: "Ed’s funny. I’ve done a few pubs with Ed. There was one time we were literally just talking about tattoos the whole time because I’ve never seen … he’s covered, he’s absolutely covered.

"He just took off his shirt in the middle of the pub and just started like ‘oh, he did that one’. It was fun, it was funny."
