Rita Ora is ‘friends’ with Calvin Harris

Rita Ora is still "really good friends" with her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.

The ‘RIP’ hitmaker was left devastated two years ago when the 33-year-old Scottish DJ dumped her via Twitter without warning her beforehand but, despite the humiliation she felt at the time, she has admitted there are no hard feelings between them.

Speaking on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Thursday (09.02.17), Rita said when pressed on her relationship with Calvin: "We’re good friends.

"Everybody uses social media how they want. I choose not to, so that’s just my personal way to express myself, but everybody does their own thing."

Shortly after their split, Calvin started romancing fellow musician Taylor Swift and, although seeing her former flame with someone else killed her, the 26-year-old singer tried to train herself to "take it with a pinch of salt" and move on with her own life.

She explained: "I don’t really read magazines anymore that much, but to be honest it’s kind of like obviously. But a usual break up you don’t really see your ex all over the place. But, you know, you just kind of take it with a pinch of salt and keep going with your own life and make the most of who you are."

Rita dated Calvin for just over a year when things came to a halt in 2014 and, although the hunk attempted to keep things amicable by wishing her all the best in the future, fans speculated that Justin Bieber had caused their split because the now-23-year-old heartthrob had reportedly become "affectionate" towards the beauty in the studio.

However, Rita – who has also been romantically linked to Lewis Hamilton – is adamant she and the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker are just "friends" and were working on music together.

She explained during her appearance on the show: "We’re just friends. Just musicians vibing. We had a few drinks, just musicians jamming out."

Ed Sheeran sang karaoke with Justin Bieber

Ed Sheeran duetted with Justin Bieber at a karaoke bar.

The 25-year-old singer met up with his friend in Tokyo, Japan, recently and they had a "weird" night out where they sang one another’s biggest hits before coming together for a rendition of ‘Love Yourself’, the 22-year-old Canadian pop star’s 2015 single which was written by the ‘Castle On The Hill’ hitmaker.

Speaking to MYXclusive, Ed said: "I quite like that that song is just having its own life somewhere.

"Me and Justin actually sung that on karaoke together two days ago.

"He was in Tokyo. It was a really weird night actually, a really weird night.

"We went to a bar called Train Bar and did some shots, then we went to a karaoke bar and sung our own song.

"He was singing my songs, so I was singing his songs… and then we both sang ‘Love Yourself’."

Ed previously revealed ‘Love Yourself’ was initially written for his upcoming ‘÷’ album and he’s delighted with the success the track has had since he discarded it.

He said: "That was a song I had written for ‘÷’. It just wouldn’t have made it. And then Justin took it and did his thing on it, and released it as a single and made it what it is.

"So going from a song that would have never been released to [being] the biggest song of last year – it just became Billboard’s #1 of 2016 of the whole year, and [was] nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys – it just shows you that you shouldn’t always write stuff off."

Meanwhile, Justin previously praised Ed for being "super talented".

He said: "He is a good guy, super talented. Really good songwriter so just to be able to work with that calibre of songwriter was really really awesome. We are boys, so we just go out and we’re mates."

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd splash out $250k on romantic getaway

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have reportedly splashed out almost $250,000 on a romantic Italian getaway.

The ‘Heart Wants What it Wants’ hitmaker may have just started romancing the 26-year-old singer but she made sure no expenses were spared as they parted with $246,403 when they jetted across to Florence over the weekend for their first proper mini break as a couple.

The blossoming lovebirds touched down in the picturesque city on Friday (27.01.17) and immediately checked into the Belmond Villa San Michele, a hotel known for its privacy, following a long-haul flight from Los Angeles, California.

But the rooms aren’t cheap as it’s estimated it would have set them back between $3,000 to $4,000 per night for the private suite but, if they’d really pushed the boat out, they could have parted with as much as $10,000 per night for the luxurious Limonaia Villa, while the Limonaia Suite comes in just under that at around $7,000 per night.

And it wasn’t just their accommodation they failed to keep a lid on, as the loved-up duo made sure their getaway was jam packed with exciting activities and spent their first day scoffing delicious grub at the Trattoria Borgo Antico.

They then stopped by the Accademia Gallery Museum, which costs approximately $50, but made sure they were given the special treatment by coughing up $239 each for a private tour of the sculpture art gallery, according to E! News.

The pair then travelled back to their plush hotel in a private limo for around $1,500 before they picked up their designer baggage and headed to the Hotel Gritti Palace – a short journey from the beach – for a change of scenery.

However, their journey to the hotel, wasn’t smooth sailing as they had initially thought, as they would have had to catch a private water taxi from Marco Polo Airport to Central Venice for $118.

After a tiresome few days in the romantic city, the 24-year-old beauty and her beau – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – jumped on a flight, and no doubt travelled first class, back to the United States on Tuesday (31.01.17).

The couple sparked rumours they were dating earlier this month when they were spotted locking lips and, although friends have warned them to take things slowly, they’ve been "talking every day" since their smooch session.

However, their relationship hasn’t gone down well with everyone as Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber – who she has dated on and off since 2011 – as he thinks the romance is a scam to help sell his former flame’s forthcoming album.

And he’s not the only one who has had something to say about the couple as The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid – who he split from in November due to their conflicting schedules – doesn’t seem best pleased either.

Although she hasn’t publicly shamed the duo, she’s taken a subtle swipe at Selena by unfollowing her Instagram.

Kanye West ‘set to snub the Grammys’

Kanye West is among a host of stars reportedly set to snub this year’s Grammy Awards.

The 39-year-old rapper is apparently poised to shun the annual awards bash on February 12 in protest against perceived racism, while the likes of Justin Bieber and Drake consider the Grammys to have become irrelevant, especially to younger artists.

A source explained to TMZ that the music stars consider the awards show to be "out of touch".

Kanye has been nominated for eight gongs at this year’s ceremony, but has always lost out when he’s gone head-to-head against a white singer.

Justin, 22, has received four nominations, but intends to be somewhere else on the night of the Grammys as he considers the ceremony to be unrepresentative.

Drake, on the other hand, is set to be on tour in Europe, even though he has received eight nominations.

However, TMZ also adds that all three artists could still change their minds before the event is staged at the Staples Center in Los Angeles next month.

The glitzy bash is to be hosted by British comedian James Corden, who previously revealed he is relishing the opportunity.

He said: "I am truly honored to be hosting the Grammys next year. It’s the biggest, most prestigious award show in music, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night."

Recording Academy President CEO Neil Portnow said James is the perfect candidate to replace previous host LL Cool J.

He explained: "He’s got big shoes to fill after the magnificent run we had with LL Cool J, but James Corden is a commanding, dynamic showman who, we believe, is perfect to host the Grammy Awards."

James Corden not hosting Grammys for laughs

James Corden won’t be looking for laughs when he hosts the Grammy awards.

The 38-year-old presenter – who has children Max, five, and Carey, two, with wife Julia – is determined to make the musical honors ceremony as "fun and enthusiastic" as possible, but doesn’t think it is the right occasion to showcase his comedic side.

He said: "The truth is, it’s quite a tough room to do jokes in. You can’t really do comedy because it’s the Staples Center — it’s not that sort of show. Rather than try and think of jokes or laughs, we’re gonna try and think about how to make it fun and enthusiastic. I feel very nervous about it, very scared, but I’m gonna try and make it the best I can!"

While the British star has previously hosted the Tony awards, he thinks the Grammys will be a very different presenting job.

He said: "The Tonys is a more traditional hosting job; with the Grammys, you’re not in the show that much, just ushering stuff around. But we’re gonna try to make it as fun as a possible."

James is best known for the popular ‘Carpool Karaoke’ feature – where famous stars sing along to their greatest hits while driving along with the host – on his ‘Late Late Show’ and despite the fact the audience at the Grammys will be largely made up of musicians, he insists they won’t be able to use the segment at the ceremony because they are so complicated.

He explained to People magazine: "They take so long to film, they take a long time to edit, and there’s never been one that’s been shorter than six minutes, so there just really isn’t the time!"

James has worked with a lot of famous musicians, including Madonna, Justin Bieber, Adele, and Mariah Carey, on ‘The Late Late Show’ and he hopes the Grammys will bring him one step closer to someone he’s been desperate to meet for some time.

He said: "I’ve never met Beyoncé. I don’t know if I’ll get to, but hopefully!"

The Grammy Awards take place on February 12.

Asked at the time if he liked the ‘Starboy’ hitmaker’s music, Justin said: "Hell no I can’t listen to a Weeknd song! That s**t’s whack."

However, Selena reportedly thinks Justin is just saying that because he’s jealous of their budding romance.

The source added to HollywoodLife.com: "She knows Justin doesn’t really think The Weeknd’s music is whack."

It isn’t the first time Justin has reportedly slammed his ex-lover’s new relationship either, as it was previously reported he believes the ‘Hands To Myself’ hitmaker is just using The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – to boost record sales.

Justin Bieber sells his Ferrari at auction

Justin Bieber has sold his Ferrari 458 for $434,500 at auction.

The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker unloaded the spectacular vehicle at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona on Saturday (01.21.17), where he and the auctioneer gave prospective buyers an insight into the car’s history.

The Ferrari is, in fact, the same vehicle Justin’s friend Lil Twist was driving on January 1, 2013, when a photographer was struck and killed by another car as he tried to follow the singer.

And Justin is reportedly donating all the money he has raised through the auction to charity.

A source said: "Justin is going to donate the proceeds from the auction to charity. He hasn’t decided which one yet, but it will likely be either Pencils of Promise, City of Hope or Children’s Miracle Network – maybe even a combination of the three."

The insider said Justin has unfairly developed a bad reputation over the years, despite all of the generous things he does.

The source told Hollywood Life: "Justin gets such a bad rap but he has a heart of gold. He does so much to give back, and to help those in need, but people never care about that, all they focus on is the times he messes up.

"Honestly, people have no idea how much Justin does for various different charities. He has a huge heart and never stops giving."

This comes shortly after the chart-topping star said he "can’t listen" to The Weeknd’s music and described it as "wack".

The ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ hitmaker has been spotted romancing his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in recent weeks – and Justin clearly isn’t a fan.

Asked if he listens to The Weeknd’s music, he said: "Hell no I can’t listen to a Weeknd song! That s**t’s wack."

Nicola Peltz is reportedly dating Anwar Hadid.

The 22-year-old actress is reportedly in a "new relationship" with the 17-year-old younger brother of modeling sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, and the pair have recently been spotted walking hand-in-hand in the Beverly Hills area.

A source told E! News: "They are dating. It’s a fairly new relationship, but they are really good friends and part of the same group of friends."

Last year, ‘The Last Airbender’ actress was romantically linked to pop megastar Justin Bieber, who reportedly wanted something "serious" with the beauty.

The ‘What Do You Mean?’ hitmaker met the ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ actress at Los Angeles hotspot The Nice Guy and invited her on a miniature golfing date and friends said at the time that Justin was smitten.

A source said: "Justin wants something serious with a girl again. He doesn’t want to f**k around anymore. It was a real date with her."

Meanwhile, Nicola previously revealed she is "really close" to Anwar’s older sister Gigi, 21, and even got her blessing before appearing in her boyfriend Zayn Malik’s music video for ‘It’s You’.

She said at the time: "I was excited to meet Zayn. I’ve never met him before and I’m really close with his girlfriend, Gigi. I called her when I got the offer and she was like, ‘Oh my god.’

Justin, 22, thinks the supposed relationship is a strategic move on the part of Selena, who has previously dated Nick Jonas, Zedd and himself in the weeks before releasing new material, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, Selena is reportedly unconcerned about upsetting Bella Hadid with her relationship with The Weeknd.

The ‘Heart Wants What It Wants’ hitmaker was seen kissing the ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ singer earlier this month, prompting his ex-girlfriend Bella to unfollow her on Instagram.

One source said: "Selena was always the girl who stayed away from a lot of the Taylor Swift crew, except for Taylor. She preferred to be one-on-one with Taylor and didn’t like being a part of the whole squad thing."

Another insider stressed that because Selena is not especially close to Bella or Gigi Hadid, her new relationship is not a big issue.

The source said: "Selena is not good friends with either Gigi or Bella. She knows them through other people, but they are just acquaintances.

"She is friendly with them, but not friends with them … Selena and Gigi were never fond of each other, so Selena definitely doesn’t have any stipulations about hooking up with or dating Bella’s ex."

Bella and The Weeknd split two months ago, but 20-year-old model reportedly still has feelings for her ex.

A source recently explained: "She is actually not over The Weeknd. She still loves him. They are on fine terms, but she is bitter about the romance with Selena.

"She was not happy when all of that gossip went everywhere between The Weeknd and Selena. It really hurt her seeing Selena be all up on her man. She still feels like they have a connection."
