Selena Gomez won’t attend AMAs to avoid Bieber

Selena Gomez will not be attending the American Music Awards because her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber is performing.

Justin is set to perform at the ceremony on Sunday (18.11.12), and Selena is not going to make an appearance at the prestigious event in Los Angeles because the pain of their recent split is just too fresh.

A representative told Hollyscoop.com: "Selena has never been confirmed to be at the show."

She is also not nominated for any prizes at the ceremony, unlike Justin who is up for three awards, including the highly coveted Artist of the Year accolade.

Selena and Justin were believed to have held crisis talks last weekend to discuss where their relationship was going after their split was confirmed last week.

A source said: "I saw Selena go into the hotel around 5:40 pm and not even three hours later, Justin went in. I saw him leave around 11 pm.

"It’s not just over for Justin and Selena, whatever happens they have a lot to talk about.

"They’re both being a bit cagey and stubborn but they’re desperate to see one another. This isn’t new for them; they often have a tumultuous relationship. We all expect them to work it out."

Selena Gomez’s friends hope Bieber romance is over

Selena Gomez’s friends hope her romance with Justin Bieber is over for good.

The 20-year-old actress and the 18-year-old pop star revealed their split on Friday (09.11.12) after two years together and while those close to the brunette beauty fully expect Justin to try to win her back, they are surprised it took so long for the pair to break up as she has "shed many tears" over him in the past year.

A friend of Selena’s told The Sun newspaper: "It’s been so difficult to watch this unfold over the past year or so. Selena has shed so many tears over Justin.

"She’s tried to split up with him so many times but they have always ended up back together.

"It’s out in the open now and that is one of the toughest parts, so that means there’s more chance it will be permanent this time. But we expect Justin to try to win her back – and he tends to get what he wants."

Despite separating last week, the former couple were spotted together in New York on Sunday (11.11.12), where they are thought to have held talks about their relationship.

Justin Bieber throws up on stage

Justin Bieber threw up on stage during a concert on Saturday (29.09.12).

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer was performing in Glendale, Arizona, as part of his ‘Believe’ tour, and while performing ‘Out of Town Girl’ he turned his back to the crowd and vomited.

He quickly exited the stage but returned and told the crowd he would like to continue the show.

Justin said: "It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people. Will you love me even though I’m throwing up on stage? OK, I wanted to give you my best show ever, so do you mind if I finish it?"

Posting in a series of tweets on twitter after the concert he wrote: "Great show. Getting better for tomorrow’s show !!!! Love u. And … Milk was a bad choice! Lol (sic)"

The Canadian pop star has been suffering from a mystery illness since the middle of last month, and tweeted before he began his tour that he was resting.

He wrote: "All the travel and the body finally broke down. Soo sick. Just gonna chill. #nofun (sic)"

The popstar is heartbroken after learning one of his biggest fans Avalanna Routh – who had nicknamed herself ‘Mrs. Bieber’ after meeting her idol in February – tragically passed away yesterday morning (26.09.12)

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer wrote on his Facebook and twitter pages: "Just got the worst news ever. One of the greatest spirits I have ever known is gone. Please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna."

Devastated Justin grew close to his six-year-old fan, who was battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, after flying to New York to meet her and her mother for an extra special Valentine’s Day date in February.

The 19-year-old star became aware of Avalanna’s desire to meet him following a social media campaign called ‘Get Avalanna to Meet Justin Bieber’ calling on him to grant the sick little girl’s biggest wish.

Justin was instantly touched after first meeting Avalanna in February.

He tweeted: "that was one of the best things i have ever done. she was AWESOME! feeling really inspired now #MrsBieber."

He initially spent almost two hours playing with the little girl and returned to visit her several times before her death.

Avalanna also became actress Jessica Biel’s "hero" after meeting they met at a ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ fundraising event earlier this month.

Justin Bieber: ‘I miss my mother’

Justin Bieber misses his mother when he is on tour.

The 18-year-old singer always wanted to get rid of his mum Pattie Mallette when she used to go on the road with him, but now she’s not around as much he pines for her help.

He said: "I do miss her, yeah, I mean especially now being 18. Before when I was round her all the time, like, every day, I was getting sick of her and I would look forward to her leaving, like, ‘Yes mom’s leaving tomorrow!’

"And now I’m like, ‘When is mom coming back?’ Because I don’t see her that often so you know it’s funny how those things change."

Although the ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker – who is dating Selena Gomez – is one of the biggest stars in the world with access to the best clubs and bars, he claims he rarely has time to go out partying because he is always so tired due to his work commitments.

Speaking on UK TV show ‘Daybreak’, he said: "I don’t really go out … I’m super busy, so by the end of the night I’m super tired … We don’t go clubbing, we just hang out low-key and just chill."

Justin Bieber gets sick ahead of tour

Justin Bieber has fallen ill ahead of his ‘Believe’ world tour.

The 18-year-old pop star is currently in the middle of promoting his most recent album of the same name and rehearsing for his mammoth run of concerts but it seems his hectic schedule has taken a toll on his health.

Writing on his twitter account, he revealed: "All the travel and the body finally broke down. Soo sick. Just gonna chill. #nofun (sic)"

Fans have since be tweeting get well soon messages to the singer, with one follower tweeting: "Get well soon #muchlove (sic)"

Before getting sick. Justin had been boasting to his followers that his tour was going to be his best live shows yet.

In a series of tweets, he wrote: "#BELIEVEtour is gonna change the game. im hitting every city. doing interviews. hitting the stage. WE READY! … we have magic. #believetour

Justin – who is in a relationship with Selena Gomez – will start his ‘Believe Tour’ on September 29 in Glendale, Arizona, before heading across the US.

The ‘Baby’ singer then heads to Europe in 2013 and will be on the road until the end of March next year.

Justin Bieber’s ‘Believe’ tour will be inspired by Michael Jackson.

The 18-year-old singer is preparing for his latest concert series and his manager Scooter Braun revealed Justin has been studying the late King of Pop’s moves.

Scooter told MTV News: "He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the ’80s and ’90s. And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level."

Scooter also explained he is excited about the new tour because Justin has matured as a performer.

He explained: "It’s just really exciting. Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it’s gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He’s a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level."

Justin Bieber drops video for ‘As Long As You Love Me’

(Relaxnews) – Justin Bieber has released his latest video, for a track from his Believe album, on August 1. 

The new video is titled "As Long As You Love Me – ft. Big Sean" and hit YouTube via Bieber’s VEVO channel. The video features an opening monologue by Kill Bill actor Michael Madsen, who warns Bieber to stay away from his daughter.  

The release of the video sparked a worldwide trending topic on Twitter.

Taylor Swift wins five Teen Choice Awards

Taylor Swift won five Teen Choice Awards last night (22.07.12).

The 22-year-old singer-and-actress took home authentic full-sized surfboard prizes for Choice Female Music Artist, Choice Country Artist and Choice Movie Voice for her performance as Audrey in the animated film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ book ‘The Lorax’ at the ceremony held at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheatre.

The blonde beauty narrowly beat Justin Bieber to be the biggest winner of the night.

The 18-year-old pop star went home with four prizes, including Choice Music Male Artist and Single for Male Artist for his latest hit ‘Boyfriend’, which he performed at the event.

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ had seven nominations and took home two accolades, the Ultimate Choice Award and Teen Choice Favourite Film, taking the franchise’s total of Teen Choice Awards to 41 in the past four years.

Main cast members Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were all in attendance.

Addressing the audience, Taylor said: "This award especially is an extreme honor. It’s a true testament to all the support you’ve given us over the years. It’s amazing you’re still around and just as loyal and just as strong."

As well as Justin, No Doubt – who will release their first album in more than a decade later this month – made their live comeback at the ceremony, performing their forthcoming single ‘Settle Down’.

Selena Gomez – Justin’s girlfriend – celebrated her 20th birthday at the event by taking home the Best Music Group gong with her band The Scene and when the singer-and-actress took to the stage to accept the prize she was serenaded with a version of ‘Happy Birthday’ by the audience.

The brunette beauty also received cupcakes with sparklers on for her to blow out and she described the gift as the "best birthday present ever".

Demi Lovato and ‘Glee’ star Kevin McHale hosted the two-hour ceremony, which also saw Jennifer Lawrence pick up two accolades for Choice Actress (Sci-Fi Fantasy) and Choice Lip-Lock for her onscreen embrace with Josh Hutcherson in ‘The Hunger Games’.
