Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber working on new material

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber are working on another record.

The 23-year-old singer and the ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker previously recorded a untitled song intended for his latest album ‘Believe’, but Justin’s manager Scooter Braun insists the track "didn’t make sense" on the record and the pair are now planning to work on new material.

He told MTV News: "It didn’t go on ‘Believe’, because there’s another record they want to work on. So, it just didn’t make sense at this time."

Earlier this week, Taylor hinted a new album could be on the horizon after confirming "stuff is about to happen" regarding her music career.

She wrote on her Facebook page: "I’m writing you from Nashville, where I just sat in a big room with a lot of people and made a lot of decisions about a lot of things happening very soon. And as vague as that sentence was, I think you know what it means. Stuff is about to happen."

Taylor’s last studio album was 2010’s ‘Speak Now’, and earlier this year she contributed two songs – ‘Safe & Sound’ and ‘Eyes Open’ – for the official soundtrack to sci-fi movie ‘The Hunger Games’.

Justin Bieber track written about a gay love affair

One of Justin Bieber’s album tracks was written about a gay love affair.

The 18-year-old pop star recorded ‘Bigger’ for his first album ‘My World’ without knowing it was about two men breaking up.

However, songwriter Frank Ocean, recently revealed details about the track and his sexuality.

The R’N’B singer, who has also written songs for Beyonce Knowles and Kanye West, wrote on his website about his relationship with a boy as a youngster.

He said: "Four summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. It was hopeless."

The 24-year-old appeared on two songs from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album ‘Watch the Throne.’

Def Jam record label founder, Russell Simmons, wrote in a post that he is moved by Frank’s ”courage and honesty.”

He wrote on his Global Grind website Wednesday (04.07.12): ”Today is a big day for hip-hop. Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear.”

Flea of rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers tweeted: ”Strong move by Frank Ocean, makes me happy.”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez regularly split

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly broken up multiple times in the last few months.

Apparently the pop stars most recently decided to end their relationship last week but have since rekindled and are giving their relationship another try.

A source told website TMZ.com that 18-year-old Justin and 19-year-old Selena’s current situation is tenuous and stated that they are not a "solid" couple.

The two have been dating for around a year and a half and while Disney actress Selena has maintained her squeaky clean image, Justin has been faced with some controversy recently.

Recent reports claimed that Justin may have to face jail if convicted on criminal charges for an altercation with a photographer.

Justin recently said he thinks he could take One Direction in a fight.

Although the ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker knows he couldn’t beat the boy band if they all attacked him as a group, he is confident he could hold his own individually against Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

He is quoted as saying: "I’d get my ass kicked (against all of them). But one-on-one I’d take them. I’d try a spin-kick. To the face."

Justin Bieber: One Direction collaboration will be great

Justin Bieber says his collaboration with One Direction is "going to be great".

The 18-year-old pop star revealed that he is to record a track alongside Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne on the band’s eagerly awaited second album.

Justin told BBC Radio 2: "The One Direction guys are great. We have a lot of fun whenever we hang out. They came over my house and we were just chilling out around the pool and listening to music.

"We were talking about me collaborating with them on a song on their next album. It’s gonna be great."

Justin also revealed that ‘The X Factor’ 2010 rejects are keen to work with come other big names in the music industry.

He said: "And I asked them who else they would like to work with. They were, like, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.

"Now don’t get me wrong those are all very talented artists but there seems to be a pattern emerging and, looking at the smile on the guys’ faces, I don’t think it was all about the music…"

He continued: "They sure have an eye for the ladies but, even better for the guys, the ladies have a bit of an eye for them, too.

Justin Bieber inspired by Jackson

Justin Bieber’s ‘Die in Your Arms’ was inspired by Michael Jackson.

The Canadian singer worked with legendary hitmaker Rodney Jerkins – who produced Michael’s ‘You Rock My World’ – on the song, and watched a video of the late performer to get him into the right mindset before recording.

Speaking at the filming of a special ‘Bieber Live’ show, where he performed for MTV in New York, he said: "Before I got in the booth, Rodney showed me this hour-long video of Michael footage, never been seen before. It’s Michael’s personality, him in the booth dancing. It’s some really special stuff.

"So me seeing that, going in there and being inspired and working with Rodney, who worked with Michael – it was incredible."

Justin – who is a talented drummer and also plays guitar – also assured fans he is a real musician rather than a manufactured pop star, and has an hands-on role with all of his tracks.

He added: "I was very involved in the process – I played instruments, produced, wrote – so I want people to know it’s not all hype.

"I want people to know I’ve been working hard on my music. Focus on the music. Don’t think I’m just this product pushed out there. I work hard, and music is really important to me. I see a lot of hate online, which is inevitable, but at the end of the day, I’m just trying to prove them wrong by making good music."

Justin’s third album, ‘Believe’, is out now.

Justin Bieber case handed over to prosecutors

Justin Bieber’s case about an alleged scuffle with a photographer was turned over to prosecutors yesterday (19.06.12).

Los Angeles County prosecutors are reviewing an altercation between pop star and a paparazzi person at a Calabasas, California shopping mall.

They will determine whether criminal charges should be filed against the ‘Boyfriend’ singer, a spokeswoman has confirmed.

Detectives have been investigating claims by the man who is believed to be the victim that Justin struck,, after he took photographs of him and girlfriend Selena Gomez at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center in last month.

The photographer complained of pain and was taken by the Los Angeles County Fire Department to a hospital, where he was treated and released, officials said.

The LA County district attorney’s office received the case Tuesday, and it’s unclear how long it will take to make a decision about charges.

The teenager has not commented on the incident which could see him charged with misdemeanor battery for the May 27 incident.

At the time of the physical altercation, the photographer called the police, but Justin and Selena were gone by the time they arrived.

Apparently the LA County Sheriff’s deputies tried to reach Justin to discuss the incident, but never spoke to him.

Justin Bieber to be quizzed by police

Justin Bieber will be quizzed by police over his alleged brawl with a photographer.

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer – who is currently promoting his new album ‘Believe’ around the world – was reportedly involved in an altercation with a photographer in a shopping centre car park in Calabasses, California, in May, and is expected to be called in for questioning when he returns to the US.

Lawyer Anahita Sedaghatfar – who is not connected with the case – told Fox News yesterday (13.06.12): "He will definitely be called in for questioning. This is a high-profile case which has gotten a ton of media attention. The police will have to dot their Is and cross their Ts for sure.

"However, Bieber is under no legal obligation to talk to the police. He likely will speak to them nevertheless, of course with his attorneys’ guidance."

According to the legal expert, the case is unlikely to be taken further until Justin speaks to police.

The lawyer added: "The police will have to get his side of the story in order to determine whether to dump the case or turn it over to prosecutors.

"They certainly cannot press charges based on the little evidence they have now."

Teen idol Justin hit the headlines last month for allegedly striking paparazzi Jose Sarros across the face in a fit of anger.

According to witnesses, Jose was blocking Justin’s car as he tried to leave with his Disney star girlfriend Selena Gomez, 19. The photographer was treated for minor injuries in hospital.

Justin, 18, declined to comment, but the Los Angeles county sheriff confirmed the case was still open.
