Justin Bieber accused of assault

Justin Bieber has been accused of assault.

The 18-year-old pop star was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a photographer at The Commons mall in Calabasas, California – where he has just purchased a $6.5 million mansion – after a paparazzo attempted to take pictures of the ‘Boyfriend’ singer and his girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Following the incident, the photographer called the police before he was taken to hospital complaining of chest pains but he was discharged shortly afterwards, TMZ.com reports.

When police arrived at the scene Justin and Selena had already left the shopping centre – where they had gone to watch a film – but the officials are hoping to speak to the ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker and any other witnesses about the altercation after the snapper filed a report to the police naming Justin as the culprit.

But witnesses have claimed the paparazzo was blocking Justin’s car in as he was trying to leave the shopping centre, and the singer is then said to have got out of the vehicle to ask him to move away but he didn’t so a scuffle broke out.

According to the gossip website, several witnesses also saw a lawyer walk up to the photographer and advise him to call for an ambulance and file a police report following the incident.

Justin Bieber to be honoured at FiFi Awards

Justin Bieber’s fragrance Someday will be honoured at the FiFi Awards later this month.

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer – who released the women’s perfume last year – receiving the highly coveted Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year award at the annual prestigious ceremony.

Justin said of the award: ”I am honoured to be named Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year. It means a lot to me that my fans and The Fragrance Foundation support all my accomplishments. The best part is that my favorite charities are sharing in the success; it is important to pay it forward. Plus, I have the girls smelling great!”

Justin has previously revealed Someday was inspired by achieving your dreams which is why the accompanying commercial featured actress Dree Hemingway portraying a fan whose ambition is to meet him.

He explained: ”It explains a dream. Someday I will drive a BMW. Someday I will be an astronaut.

”In the commercial, [co-star Dree’s] someday was meeting me. So when she sprayed on the perfume, I appeared in the room and we floated off into this place . that’s what I perceive it as.”

Justin Bieber grows up in video

Justin Bieber’s new video will see him "growing into manhood".

The 18-year-old singer will premiere the promotional film that accompanies new single ‘Boyfriend’ today (03.05.12) and director Director X has promised the footage will show how the teenage star is growing up.

He said: "He’s 18 now. He can drive a car. You grow into manhood. He’s growing into his manhood so this is something where we really feel like we’re seeing him grow. It’s not the same old Justin."

The video was shot in Los Angeles in March and sees Justin – who is dating Selena Gomez – indulge in sunny rooftop parties and getting close to a brunette woman and the director says the love interest’s casting echoed the singer’s real-life taste in women.

He added to MTV News: "You know you’re casting a beautiful girl. It’s the way the chips fell.

"You know, I guess Justin has a type that he likes, so hey, you know, there you go."

Justin admitted earlier this week he can’t wait for his fans to see the video.

He tweeted on Tuesday (01.05.12): "excited for everyone to see the #BOYFRIENDvideo in 2 days. premiering on @MTV thursday night. swaggy (sic)"

Ke$ha wants to work with Justin Bieber.

The ‘Blow’ hitmaker admires the young pop superstar and thinks a duet between them would be great.

Ke$ha has a very eclectic music taste and can imagine herself just as easily recording with legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.

She said: "The range of artists I want to work with is so vast, it’s bizarre. I would love to have Keith Richards on the record. I would sure as hell like to do a collaboration with Bieber and at the same time do a song with the Flaming Lips. If someone is a real artist, you can’t confine them to a particular genre. It’s my mission to make it all make sense somehow."

The 25-year-old singer is very proud of the success she has achieved so far in her career but although she has topped charts all over the globe she still feels like the "dirty little sister" of the biggest pop stars.

In an interview with V magazine, she contemplated: "I do feel like there are the pop stars of the world and then I’m like their dirty little sister, running around with s**t on my face in combat boots because I can’t walk in heels."

Ke$ha believes her outsider mentality comes from the fact her mother Pebe raised her and her older brother Lagan as a single parent and things were tough for the three of them.

The pop beauty – who has no knowledge of her father’s identity – also had a hard time at high school and she wants her difficult experiences to inspire her fans.

She explained: "I try to include my fans in my message. I do feel like there is an element of what I’m doing that is about where I come from, which is working-class. I was never the cool kid, I was never hot in high school. I was never popular. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to be rich and you can still be successful."

Justin Bieber fans jam hotel line

Telephone lines at Justin Bieber’s London hotel have been jammed by more than 2,000 calls from fans.

Teenagers desperate to speak to the ‘Boyfriend’ singer – who arrived in London on Monday (23.04.12) – have been trying to get through to his suite at the Royal Garden Hotel by pretending to be friends, relatives and even his personal stripper.

A source said: "Justin’s fanbase are relentless — they will do anything to get near him.

"The phones in the hotel haven’t stopped ringing since he arrived.

"Staff knew there would be pandemonium but not to this extent."

According to The Sun newspaper, the cheeky 18-year-old got fans fired up by flashing his six-pack from the hotel window before sneaking off for a 99p McFlurry from McDonald’s.

Meanwhile, Justin – who recently treated girlfriend Selena Gomez to a romantic picnic in Los Angeles – believes the way to a girl’s heart is through her stomach.

He said: "Girls would rather have love than gifts.

"What is a gift? It’s just something from a store. Girls love something that is done for them from the heart, rather than gifts. Girls love picnics."

Justin Bieber writes song about Mariah Yeater

Justin Bieber has written a song for his new album about the woman who accused him of fathering her baby.

The 18-year-old singer has penned a track for his forthcoming record ‘Believe’ expressing his feelings about Mariah Yeater, a fan who claimed last year that he was the dad of her son, Tristyn, before she dropped a paternity case against him and confessed her ex-boyfriend was the child’s real dad.

Justin – who always vehemently denied her accusations – said: "There’s a song about that girl that said she was gonna have my baby, Mariah Yeater. There are songs about things I’m going through. I wrote songs about different situations."

The ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker – who is a Christian – has described his new album as being a mix between Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and Jesus Christ.

He is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "It’s like a mix between Fergie and Jesus."

Justin – who has been dating singer-and-actress Selena Gomez for more than a year – recently took to twitter to direct a tweet at Mariah, on which he attached a video clip of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat character constantly saying: "You will never get this."

He wrote: "Dear mariah yeeter … we have never met … so from the heart i just wanted to say… (sic)".

The ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker had previously agreed to take a paternity test in an attempt to rubbish her claims and also insisted he had never met her.

In November 2011, he explained: "None of it is true. Never met the woman."

Justin Bieber: I was bullied

Justin Bieber was bullied as a child.

The 18-year-old heartthrob – who has leant his single ‘Born to Be Somebody’ to a US documentary on school bullying – admits he fell victim to tormentors before becoming famous.

He said: "I was bullied. Most people in their lifetime have been bullied at some point. I think that it’s about time that people start making a change.

The film, titled ‘Bully’, looks at the issue through the eyes of five youngsters, and the ‘Boyfriend’ hitmaker believes it has the potential to make a real difference.

He told ‘Showbiz Tonight’: "A lot of the time, principals let it go, or teachers let it go, or other students just let it go, but I think this movie’s really powerful and can help change a lot of lives."

Meanwhile, he urges those who witness bullying, as well as those who experience it first-hand, to share the problem with someone and seek help.

He said: "If you’re a bystander, too, tell somebody – because a lot of times, it’s just not spoken of, and you ended up – you end up keeping it all inside, and then it just hurts even more."

Justin Bieber buys house

Justin Bieber has bought a mansion in California.

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer has splashed out just over $6 million on the 9,000 square foot property in Calabasas, an affluent area in the San Fernando Valley, 22 miles from Los Angeles.

Justin also proved he drives a hard bargain in the sale, talking the price down from $7.5 million.

He is expected to move in at the end of June and local residents are keen to welcome him to the area.

Mayor of Calabasas, Mary Sue Maurer, told TMZ: "Justin is welcomed to Calabasas and his privacy will be respected just like everyone else’s."

One of the reasons Justin – who is regularly mobbed by screaming fans – bought the house is said to be because it has two security gates.

Justin had been interested in another house – a bachelor pad which Ashton Kutcher had been renting after splitting from wife Demi Moore – but the ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor decided to act fast and buy it so he could keep it.

Ashton explained: "All of a sudden my assistant tells me there’s somebody coming to look at the house to maybe buy it. I get a text from this guy [Justin] and he’s in my house, checking it out, trying to buy my house.

"He’s like ‘Yo, I’m in your house right now. I’m checking it out’. I’m like ‘What? Are you trying to take my house from under me?’

"I was like ‘I don’t want to lose this house’. He forced me to buy a house. He’s trying to steal my swagger."

Madonna invites Justin Bieber on tour

Madonna has invited Justin Bieber to perform with her on tour.

The ‘Girls Gone Wild’ singer is a "huge fan" of the teen pop sensation and wants them to hook up at on of her summer concerts.

When asked what she thought of Justin in a live twitter chat with fans, Madonna replied: "He’s awesome. I’m a huge fan. I love it when he raps (sic)."

Justin – who has just released his new single ‘Boyfriend’ – replied: "Seeing that is a huge honor. Yours is a career artists dream of. Congrats on the new album!(sic)"

This prompted Madonna’s invite, with her writing: "Come and join me on stage when I’m on tour when we are in the same city, and congrats on your new single (sic)."

Elsewhere in the chat, Madonna revealed the full extent of her musical abilities. When asked if she can play any instruments besides guitar, replied: "well i can play the drums. and i tried playing violin (sic)."

The singer also said she has been listening to a lot of dubstep musician Skrillex, wants Quentin Tarantino to direct a video to her track ‘Gang Bang’, and she has broken her index finger on her left hand during rehearsals for her tour.

She wrote: "yes. I have a broken finger. I broke it the other day. My pinky just at the top (sic)."

Madonna, 53, is also looking forward to enjoying an alcoholic drink when her tour starts on May 29 in Israel.

Asked if she’d had a cold beer recently, she replied: "Not recently. I drank more beer when I lived in London. I won’t be having a drink until tour."

Justin Bieber refuses to hide his relationship with Selena Gomez.

The couple – who first started dating in 2010 – are often photographed holding hands or enjoying quality time together, and the 18-year-old ‘Baby’ singer believes it would be "unhealthy" to have it any other way.

He explained: "There’s no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us.

"It’s like, ‘You take this car, and I’ll take this car, and then we’ll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I’ll go in this door. We’ll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. We’ll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. I’ll go through the back area. Then we’ll meet in the dressing room and see each other’.

"At that point, it’s not even a relationship. You’re just hiding from everyone. That’s unfair and unhealthy."

His manager Scooter Braun also told Complex magazine that despite the money, cars and adventures, Justin isn’t entirely comfortable with fame.

He revealed: "[He] doesn’t like being famous. He struggles with not being normal. I’m constantly telling him, ‘You’re not normal, and since you’re having an extraordinary life, I’m holding to you extraordinary standards’."
