Justin Bieber films new music video

Pop star Justin Bieber has just wrapped shooting on the newest music video for his new holiday album Under the Mistletoe, filming the clip for Fa La La with featured guests Boyz II Men, reports MTV News.

Bieber and the Boyz recorded the video following their appearance on Dancing With the Stars last night (November 2). Directed by Colin Tilley – who has previously worked with Bieber on videos for Next 2 You, Never Let You Go, and You Smile – the clip stars both Bieber and the R&B group.

"Killed it with @BoyzIImen on DWTS and then just shot a video for our song #FALALA with @colintilley – great night! living a dream. Thanku," Bieber wrote on Twitter, as he shared a photo from the shoot, which showed the teen idol with his new spiky hairdo sitting on a stoop surrounded by the trio of R&B singers.

Bieber’s holiday album, which dropped yesterday, features a mix of classic Christmas tunes and new holiday originals from the teen singer. Along with Boyz II Men, Under the Mistletoe features a slate of guest performers, including Mariah Carey, Usher, Busta Rhymes, and the Band Perry.

Justin Bieber Christmas concert for underprivileged kids

During a visit to U.S. talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber was so moved by the story of a Las Vegas elementary school that he announced a $100,000 donation and plans to visit the children for a Christmas concert in December, reports Teen Music.

Over 70 percent of her students don’t have permanent homes, so every day, school principal Sherrie Gahn at Whitney Elementary School is trying to help her students live a better life.

Gahn told her story on the talk show and DeGeneres surprised the school with a $100,000 check. Bieber said that not only would he and some friends match that amount, but that he would come to the school in December to sing for the kids.

Bieber, who grew up poor, noted on Facebook, “Special Day on Ellen today…I know what it is like to feel like no one cares…remember to give back. Glad to be part of it. Much love.”

Check out the announcement for yourself.

Bieber also just launched his charity Christmas album Under the Mistletoe, with a portion of album proceeds going to seven U.S. charities.

New music November 1

As we enter the countdown to Christmas, holiday albums are beginning to hit the shelves, and perhaps the most notable of them, Justin Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe, arrives in stores today. The album contains a mix of old classics and new hits, and features notable guests like Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Usher, The Band Perry and Busta Rhymes.

If you’re looking for something a little edgier, hard rockers Megadeth today release their thirteenth studio album Thirteen, which marks the return of original bassist Dave Ellefson. Meanwhile, the unlikely collaboration between Metallica and Lou Reed, Lulu, also hits stores today. The LP contains songs written by Reed for use in a musical – but given the Metallica hard rock treatment.

Britain’s Got Talent surprise success story, Susan Boyle today releases her third studio album, Someone to Watch Over Me. Like her first two albums, the new LP contains a collection of classic songs, including Unchained Melody and the title track Someone to Watch Over Me. Boyle also branches out covering more contemporary songs such as Depeche Mode’s Enjoy the Silence, Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides, Now, and Tears for Fears’ Mad World.

Also out today: Florence + the Machine release their new album Ceremonials; country singer Miranda Lambert releases Four the Record; and U2 release the special double album reissue of their classic album Achtung Baby.

Justin Bieber discovers new vocal limitations

Was it really only two years ago that Justin Bieber was discovered on YouTube and burst onto the music scene with his debut single One Time? Since then, the now-17-year-old singer, whose voice is still reaching maturity, has been collaborating with big name stars like Mariah Carey.

Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, revealed that his protégé’s voice broke just before he entered the studio with Carey, and that his tone is not as high as before. Braun noted, “a year ago that [singing with Carey] would have been no problem.”

The duet All I Want For Christmas with Mariah Carey was recorded for Bieber’s Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, launched today (November 1).

“The album really shows his growth as a young man, and his voice has just blossomed,” said Island Def Jam president Steve Bartels, who believes fans will notice the more adult sound to Bieber’s voice on his new holiday album.

A portion of the proceeds from Under the Mistletoe album sales will be donated to charity. Bieber also launched the ‘Believe’ charity drive on his website, hoping to raise money for seven U.S. charities.

Justin Bieber stopped by police

Pop star Justin Bieber has had another run in with the police, this time getting pulled over in his custom Cadillac for cutting off a California Highway Patrol cruiser, reports TMZ.

The 17-year-old singer was touring around Los Angeles in his superhero-themed luxury car – emblazoned with Batman logos, his initials and the word ‘Batmobile’ – as part of a three-vehicle entourage which also included a Range Rover and a Rolls Royce. The trio cut in front of the CHP officer and wound up getting pulled over.

Fortunately for Bieber, he and his friends were let off with just a warning, but it isn’t the first time the teen has had a run in with the law. In August, Bieber was involved in a minor collision while driving in his Ferrari, and earlier in the year, he and pal Sean Kingston were pulled over on suspicion of auto theft when a Miami police officer thought Bieber looked too young to be driving Kingston’s Rolls Royce.

Another new album from Justin Bieber

While Justin Bieber fans eagerly await the arrival of Under the Mistletoe, a Christmas album due out next week on November 1, the young Canadian has confirmed in an interview with Capital FM radio that he is working on a new album, reports MTV News.

“I’m working with a lot of cool people,” Bieber said. “I’m working with Kanye. Drake is going to work on the album with me.”

"I just learned about picking the right songs and making sure that I create a sound that people aren’t really used to hearing so that it’s new and fun and people enjoy it."

The album is reportedly close to completion and is due out in early 2012. Believe will be Bieber’s third studio album since 2010’s My World 2.0 and 2011’s Under the Mistletoe.

Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, spoke with Billboard about the upcoming album: “He’s pretty adamant about writing a lot of [the album]. And he played me some stuff that he’s been doing on his own. He wrote this amazing song that sounds like a Jodeci record. I’m really excited for him.”

The album is full of surprises. Justin’s ‘Under the Mistletoe’ is going to be incredible!"

This is the second single from the album, with the original song Mistletoe debuting last week, October 17. In keeping with the spirit of the season, one dollar from every album sold will go to charity.
