Sneak peak at new Justin Bieber song

Born to Be Somebody, a new song penned by Diane Warren especially for pop star Justin Bieber, will make its debut playing over the end credits of his upcoming 3-D concert documentary, Never Say Never, which opens in theatres February 11, reports MTV.

The inspirational track will be officially released a few days later on February 14, when Bieber’s new album, Never Say Never – The Remixes, hits shelves. The remix album features big name collaborators Chris Brown, Rascal Flatts and Miley Cyrus, who have teamed up with Bieber on some of his most popular tracks.

At the New York premiere of his movie, the pop star seemed excited to share the song with his fans, postponing his Q&A session until the credits had finished rolling. "Turn the music up!" he shouted, "They gotta hear the new song."

The ballad was written specifically for the movie by famed songwriter Diane Warren (Un-break My Heart, Don’t Want to Miss a Thing), who won a Golden Globe last month for her song You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me, which was performed by Cher in the musical Burlesque.

"That’s a good age difference between Cher and Justin — 40 years!" Warren commented to The Hollywood Reporter.

Justin Bieber gets advice from Joey McIntyre

Joey McIntyre, the youngest member of boy band New Kids On The Block, gave Justin Bieber some words of advice, reports Teen Music.

In 1985, just before his 13th birthday, McIntyre joined the boy band, which went on to become one of the highest earning acts of all time, beating Madonna and Michael Jackson. Eventually the band split up in 1994, and McIntyre successfully branched out into film and Broadway musicals.

During a recent interview with TV show Entertainment Tonight,  McIntyre, 38, reached out to Justin Bieber and other young entertainers (perhaps Willow and Jaden?) explaining what if felt like to deal with fame and the trappings of celebrity at a very young age.

"I wasn’t perfect. We weren’t perfect. We certainly made mistakes and there were dark days. You’re the biggest thing in the world (but) you gotta come down. What goes up comes down, for whatever reason.

"You gotta learn how to hang in there and know that there’s so much more to life than just singing pop tunes and dancing around on stage. And that takes a while – everybody’s got their own path and their own timeé

"You have to go with the flow and learn some things the hard way. Hopefully kids like Justin – there’s a lot of young artists out there – hopefully they’ve got good family around them and they’re able to take the ups and downs."

New Kids on the Block reunited in 2009 and is back on tour this year, sharing the stage with the Backstreet Boys – as the Justin Bieber song says, Never Say Never

Justin Bieber store closed

Contrary to last week’s rumours, pop star Justin Bieber will not be opening his own store, reports Coco Perez.

The 16-year-old Canadian singer was reported to be working with the same company that helped the Kardashians open their shop, Kardashian Khaos, in Las Vegas last year. It seems, however, that the project is a no-go.

"I was working with them last year with the possibility of this happening. Toward the end of November, everything had fallen through. It’s not happening," said Bieber’s publicist Jennifer Gordon, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

Bieber’s store would have been located in an outdoor L.A. shopping complex called The Grove. According to rumours, it was intended to offer a wide range of endorsed products, including everything from skateboards to shoes – and even toys and candy.

Fans can next catch Bieber in his 3-D concert documentary, arriving in theatres on February 11. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never features concert footage from his 2010 My World Tour.

Justin Bieber grows up for next album

Justin Bieber won’t be 16 forever, and to ensure that his career and musical progression evolve along with his fans, producer-songwriter Sean Garrett is hard at work on the teen’s next album to ensure just that, reports MTV News

Garrett, who has produced fifteen number one singles in only seven years, suggests Bieber follow Justin Timberlake’s example in transitioning from teen idol to successful adult solo artist, and choose his songs very carefully.

“What we’re trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood,” said Garrett. “The one great thing about Justin Bieber is the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. So we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well.

“When Justin Timberlake went from the last album of *N Sync to his first solo album — I want to say [we’re aiming for] that level. That’s the bar for the type of song, that level of ‘Cry Me a River,’ big records.”

For his part, Bieber prefers to emphasize the quality of music instead of genre.

"Whatever comes out of my mouth is just what you guys are going to hear," Bieber explained of his hits. "I don’t know, it’s not a specific type of music. Whatever music I write, I wouldn’t say I’m pop or R&B or country or anything: I would just say it’s just good music."

Justin Bieber rushed to hospital

On Wednesday (January 12), young pop singer Justin Bieber, 16, developed breathing trouble while filming scenes for his upcoming appearance on hit TV show CSI. The award-winning musician suffered respiratory problems apparently caused by an allergic reaction, and was rushed that evening to a medical centre in Burbank, California.

"He is fine," Bieber’s rep told E! on Thursday (January 13). "He had a mild allergic reaction while they were wrapping up last night on the set of CSI. His doctor met him at the hospital to make sure everything was OK. He was released within the hour after his doctor declared him fine. He is back on set working today. All is well."

Following up his acting debut on the show last September, Bieber returned to the CSI set to reprise his role as troubled teen Jason McCann for an upcoming February 17 episode of the crime procedural drama entitled Targets of Obsession.

Last year, CSI executive producer Carol Mendelsohn explained Bieber’s planned return to the show to MTV News, "At the end of the episode, we’re left with the question: Is Jason a good kid stuck in a bad situation or is Jason a bad kid hiding behind his cuteness?" Mendelsohn said. "You can see why Justin was such a perfect choice to play this role. … It’s an explosive story."

This week it was announced that Justin Bieber will be a Golden Globe presenter this Sunday January 16, and will join Olivia Wilde, Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Jennifer Lopez, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester who are also presenting awards to various recipients in the world of film and television.

Bieber’s 3D biopic feature film Never Say Never opens next month on February 11.
