Miley and Justin sitting in a tree?

The rumour mill is churning furiously at the thought of an undercover romance between teen stars Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

Cyrus made a surprise appearance onstage during Justin Bieber’s sold-out show at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Tuesday night (August 31). The crowd went into a frenzy during their duet of Bieber’s song Overboard.

Justin Bieber recently mused about doing a remake of Grease. When asked about his number one choice of female co-star, he replied: "She can sing, dance and act. I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation."

The two were spotted dining together in May. At the time, Cyrus said the two were just working on a "side project" which was likely the NYC concert this week. And she was dating Australian actor Liam Hemsworth.

Now the Hannah Montana star is single and the gossip sites are looking for signals the two are more than just friends.

Kanye shows his Bieber fever

Rapper Kanye West made good on his promise to do something with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. West released a remix on his blog yesterday (August 30) of Bieber’s hit song Runaway Love, off his multi-platinum album My World 2.0.

The remix features Kanye West and Wu-Tang Clan legend Raekwon taking turns rhyming and, of course, vocals by the young Bieber.

It all started on Twitter when Kanye West wrote "Listening to @JustinBieber Run Away love. I love Sunday mornings in the crib."

Justin Bieber caught the post and messages filled with admiration went back and forth. West ended up suggesting: "Maybe we can do something together. Me, You and Raekwon."

The Canadian teen was starstruck, to say the least: "Me, u, and the chef 2gether (sic) on a song = EPIC. Haha. Might sound crazy 2 u (sic) but even having this convo is living the dream."

Kanye West samples Wu-Tang Clan’s 1993 breakout track Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F**k Wit in the new remix. West also promises to release a new track every Friday between now and Christmas as part of what he dubbed G.O.O.D. Fridays.

Bieber, Kanye and Raekwon collaboration a reality

When XXL rapper Kanye West recently suggested to Justin Bieber via Twitter that he and Raekwon should remix the 16-year-old Canadian’s single Runaway Love, it seemed like an unlikely collaboration.

However, West tweeted on August 18 about going into the studio with Raekwon later that same day, and yesterday Raekwon confirmed that work on the remix had already begun.

"It’s definitely gonna happen," Raekwon said. "When you got these kinda talents merging together to do something exciting, I think it’s something that’s gonna make the fans check it out. I’m a big fan of both of these guys. I think, at the end of the day, shorty [Bieber] is a sensation. And [for him] to acknowledge me it makes me feel good that the young generation is checkin’ me out like that. And at the same time it gives me a position to play a big brother in the game. He wants my assistance or whatever, he can get it. I respect him, I like his style."
