Justin Bieber’s sweet revenge

Justin Bieber may be Canada’s sweet-faced teen pop star but he revealed a darker side on the weekend. He was looking for payback and, boy, did he get it.

Detroit, Michigan teen Kevin Kristopik recently hacked into the Twitter account of Bieber’s friend, Ryan Butler. He found Justin Bieber’s number there and posted it on his Twitter page. As a result of this, the Baby singer was "flooded with calls" and, on top of that, Kristopik would not stop texting him.

Bieber was sick of the constant texts and Kristopik, himself, admitted: "I kind of meddled into his life a little bit. He decided to take revenge on me."

That revenge involved enlisting the help of Justin Bieber’s 4.5 million Twitter followers. On Saturday (August 14), Bieber posted a message on Twitter: "Everyone call me 248-(Kristopik’s number) or text." He removed the post within minutes but it was live long enough for Kristopik to receive 26,000 text messages from around the world.

The 15-year old from Detroit changed his phone number yesterday (August 16) because the phone "just going crazy with calls and texts off the wall. It was unusable."

Justin Bieber has not offered any comment about the situation.

The Baby singer replied to this, saying: "It’s not a so what moment for me. I’m 16 and a fan. I’m kinda hyped u are listening to my stuff. Thank u. Nice Sunday morning."

Would Justin Bieber ever consider working with the rapper? Well, based on his reply he would do it anytime, anywhere: "Me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC. Haha. Might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo (conversation) is living the dream. Thanks."

Step Up director has Bieber fever

Even cute-faced pop stars encounter a few bumps on the road. Justin Bieber’s camp recently announced a film in the works about the young Canadian’s life, starring, who else, Justin Bieber as himself. However, as soon as they named a director (An Inconvenient Truth‘s Davis Guggenheim), he backed out.

Now director Jon Chu confirms he is stepping in to work on the film, due out on Valentine’s Day 2011. Chu seems like a much better fit for this project, having previously directed the popular teen films Step Up and Step Up 3D. The director posted a message on Twitter yesterday to share the good news: "It’s Official…I HAVE BIEBER FEVER."

Justin Bieber performed in Nashville on Wednesday (August 11). He donated a portion of every ticket sold at that show to flood relief. Concert promoter AEG Live matched the donations. As a result, Bieber handed over a cheque for almost $33,000 to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

The pop sensation explained why he had to get involved. "Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember," Bieber shared, "and you know Nashville, there’s so much music history here."

Marky Mark impresses his daughter

Bieber fever claims another victim. What or who, you ask, could bring Mark Wahlberg, a.k.a. Marky Mark, out of rap retirement? Apparently the answer is Justin Bieber.

Time.com readers recently asked the rapper-turned-actor if he would ever pick up a mic again. Wahlberg replied: "No. Not a chance. Actually, I’ll take that back. If Justin Bieber asked me, I’d do that for my daughter. She loves me to death, but she doesn’t think I’m very cool, so that might turn it around."

Justin Bieber caught wind of it and posted a message to Mark Wahlberg on Twitter. He wrote: "Mark let’s make that rap song soon."

In other posts, the Canadian pop sensation added: "Spoke with mark wahlberg… And no joke @mark_wahlberg is beast. The Other Guys was great… We need to make that record. he needs to rap again. Will Ferrell needs to rap with us too…that would be…EPIC. I will rap too. deal?"

This is so sick!!"

That Oscar-winning director was David Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) but he backed out of the project just two days after it was announced. Guggenheim needed to drop out to fulfill promotional commitments for his new documentary, Waiting for Superman.

Is Justin Bieber a free agent?

Rumours are flying that young Canadian sensation Justin Bieber is hooking up again with his ex-girlfriend, Caitlin Beadle.

Bieber and Beadle dated before "Bieber mania" swept the world and landed the young singer at the top of the charts.

Young Caitlin lives in Ontario and was invited to spend some time with Bieber during his recent getaway to the Bahamas. She excitedly informed the world on her Twitter page: "Bahamas here I come! Gonna be an awesome week!"

Beadle then fuelled reconciliation rumours when she added another message upon her return that stated: "What happens in the Bahamas stays in the Bahamas!"

Justin Bieber has remained close to his ex-girlfriend, even flying home to see her last summer after she was involved in a serious boating accident.

However, the Baby singer still appears to be flying solo. He laughed off rumours he was involved in a relationship.

Bieber shared a message of his own with friends and fans on Twitter that was pretty clear: "I’m single and ready to mingle!! Haha!" Sorry Caitlin.

Justin Bieber’s mentor makes a surprise visit

Canadian Justin Bieber’s rise to fame took place over a ridiculously short period of time. The 16-year old singer is now known around the world and has spawned a new form of Beatlemania, dubbed "Bieber fever."

He has travelled the globe promoting two releases, the EP My World and the follow-up album My World 2.0. During this time, the emerging superstar has racked up hit singles like Baby and Somebody to Love.

It doesn’t hurt when one of the biggest names in R&B is your mentor. Usher beat out Justin Timberlake to sign the young talent to his record label.

The My World tour is Justin Bieber’s chance to bring his music to the fans on a larger scale. The tour stopped last night (June 27) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Bieber frequently posts messages on Twitter. He opened up about the butterflies he was feeling: "First tour ever. Little nervous. Don’t want to let u guys down… (Support act) Sean Kingston is on stage now!! Hartford is crazy… it’s almost that time. Wow."

Justin Bieber and fans got a pleasant surprise while he was performing the last song of the night. Toward the end of the Baby, Usher bounded on stage to surprise his protégé. He only stayed a minute before heading backstage.

The young star summed up the night: "2nite was just… well… I was scared. Didn’t want to let anyone down but the energy and the fans were incredible. Can’t wait to do this again!
