Justin Bieber fans go off the deep end

Biebermania madness has moved to another level and this time fans have gone too far. Us magazine reports that Kim Kardashian is receiving death threats from jealous fans.

Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian both attended the White House Correspondents’ dinner in Washington, D.C. last Saturday (May 1) and briefly hung out.

After they met, the reality TV star wrote on her Twitter page: "I officially have Bieber fever!" The young singer rapidly responded by referring to Kardashian as his girlfriend.

Now Kardashian, 29, reveals that she has been getting some death threats from outraged Bieber fans. She took to Twitter again to write: "I’m getting death threats from your fans! This is unBeliebable!!!"

The 16-year old singing sensation is both surprised and completely shocked. He quickly wrote a message to fans telling them that Kim Kardashian is only a friend and to stop making the threats.

Bieber fans are getting more and more outrageous which is starting to worry the singer.

On April 27, a throng of admirers was waiting for the star at a New Zealand airport. His mother was pushed to the ground by fans. Bieber has asked his fans to turn it down a notch or he will be forced to cancel future autograph sessions.

A concert in Sydney, Australia had to be cancelled when the 5,000-strong crowd of young girls got a bit too hysterical for police. Several girls passed out and police shut the gong show down.

Justin Bieber sends out a cougar call

Young pop star Justin Bieber says he has no problem dating an older woman, as long as she is not older than 40, Starpulse reports.

The 16-year old singer says a difference in age is not a problem for him. He is even ready to date a woman 20 years older than himself.

He says, "Anything above 40 is a little too old for me. I just look for a girl who is funny and has nice eyes and a smile."

He reveals that Kim Kardashian is at the top of his list (she’s 29). He thinks she fits his criteria perfectly. He says, "I think she’s cute. And, no, she’s not too old for me."

Whatever the age, the young Canadian sensation should have no trouble finding love or at least girls who want to hang out. His new album, My World 2.0, has been at the top of the charts since its release. Biebermania is taking over and causing heart palpitations around the world.

Justin Bieber gets bumped off

We all knew that Justin Bieber’s reign at the top of the Billboard 200 chart would end one day. Well, that day has come and it took a tag team effort to push him out.

The hit television series Glee dedicated an entire show recently to the music of Madonna. The album The Power of Madonna features the Glee cast performing seven of the singer’s most successful songs: Like A Virgin, Vogue, Express Yourself, Like A Prayer, Borderline, 4 Minutes and What It Feels Like For A Girl.

Billboard.com reports that "A whopping 75% of Madonna’s first-week sales came from download retailers." It is the first TV soundtrack to sit at number one since the High School Musical 2 soundtrack came out in 2007.

Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 was bumped down to third place. But don’t feel too sorry for the young Canadian sensation. He even has another album in the top ten. His debut album My World is in eighth position.

Lady Antebellum continues its climb, moving from third to second place this week.

The new film Iron Man 2 opens next week in theatres and its 15-song AC/DC soundtrack sits at number four on the chart.

Usher’s album Raymond vs. Raymond rounds off the top five.

Baby, baby, give me some space

Justin Bieber is a little ticked at his New Zealand fans. Music-News reports excited fans knocked down his mother after his entourage cleared customs in Auckland, New Zealand last night (April 27).

The young Canadian sensation was quickly whisked through the airport terminal in order to get away from the mob of screaming fans. Someone even stole his hat in the melee.

Bieber went on Twitter to ask for calm. He said, "Finally got to New Zealand last night. The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people."

Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, was not injured and went on Twitter herself to say, "Thanks for all ur support!! I’m ok thank you!!! (sic)."

Due to the mayhem, Bieber couldn’t stop to sign autographs or take pictures with fans. His security team didn’t want the crowd to get out of control.

The young singer asked his fans to calm down. He wrote, "I want to be able to sign and take pics and meet my fans, but if you are all pushing security wont let me. let’s keep it safe and have fun. (sic)"

Justin Bieber’s concert in Sydney, Australia had to be cancelled when the crowd got too rowdy and several young girls passed out.

Maximum security for Justin Bieber

Organizers of Justin Bieber’s upcoming concert in New Zealand are increasing security. Orange News reports they want to avoid a repeat of the total chaos that went down in Australia forcing the singer to cancel his Sydney concert.

The Australian concert was cancelled after thousands of fans camped overnight at Sydney Harbour for a chance to see their idol on stage. When the ecstatic crowd heard rumours the star had arrived, they started to surge forward and things got out of hand. Police decided to cancel the event after more than a hundred teenagers became "distressed."

This is the third time in six months that Bieber’s presence has sparked a riot. Similar situations occurred in New York and Paris.

The 16-year old singer will arrive in New Zealand tomorrow (April 28) to give a free concert at Papakura’s Strathallan School. Police are trying to ensure his arrival remains a secret to avoid history repeating itself.

A spokesperson for Auckland’s airport told the New Zealand Herald newspaper, "We are meeting with police and other airport security tomorrow morning to discuss the issue."

The Justin Bieber phenomenon

For the third time in six months, Justin Bieber sparks a riot, this time in Australia. This follows previous incidents in New York and Paris. The young Canadian singer was supposed to perform three songs  on the Sydney harbour front during the Sunrise broadcast, a popular Sydney morning show.

Thousands of fans camped out overnight and started surging toward the venue when a rumour started that Bieber had arrived. Several girls were injured, some passed out and at least eight had to be taken to hospital. Police shut the site down.

New South Wales police released a statement, "Police at the event were concerned for the 4,000 excited people already in attendance with many more anticipated to arrive prior to the start of the performance."

Justin Bieber’s album My World 2.0 has sat at the top of the charts since its release. The Biebermania phenomenon is affecting teenage girls worldwide.

Bieber went on to perform his hit song Baby at the Network Seven’s studios in Sydney. He said, "I am so sorry that it got out of control, we don’t want anyone to get hurt. It gets crazy sometimes."

Justin Bieber then posted a message on his Twitter page, "I woke up this morning to the police canceling the show for safety reasons. I love my fans… I love it here in Australia… and I want to sing."

Justin Bieber remains king of the charts

Young Canadian sensation Justin Bieber and My World 2.0 continue to dominate the Billboard 200 chart. The star sold 92,000 copies of this album last week. The artist in the number two spot, MGMT, is far behind, only selling 66,000 copies of his new release, Congratulations. It seems the competition is eating Bieber’s dust right now.

My World 2.0 came out on March 23 and was on top of the charts from its first week out. It shot to the top thanks to the single Baby that features Ludacris. Justin Bieber’s first album, My World, is still in the Billboard 200 Top 10 as well, resting at number 10 with 30,000 copies sold over the last week.

With the summer season fast approaching, a few albums being released next week will provide some stiff competition. An episode of the popular TV series GLEE featuring covers of Madonna songs will be available.

As well, the soundtrack, featuring music by AC/DC may very well knock Justin Bieber from the top of the charts.

Hip hop embraces Justin Bieber

In an interview with MTV News, singer Justin Bieber talks about why the hip hop world has accepted him.

The 16-year old singer did not name any names but said that, unlike other singers, he has not gone the Disney way.

Justin Bieber erupted onto the music scene last year and quickly began to evolve under the tutelage of Usher. The R&B star signed Bieber to his record label.

In the video for Baby, the first single off his new album, My World 2.0, he sings with rapper Ludacris. Another rising Canadian star, Drake, is also in the background Justin Bieber’s video, playing one of his friends in the bowling alley scene. He is a Lil Wayne  protégé.

Justin Bieber comments: "I like hop-hop a lot. I’m really glad they’ve taken a liking to me," he told MTV News recently. "Having Luda [on my song ‘Baby’] and having Lil Wayne give me shout me out on UStream and, like, you know — it’s cool."

He adds: I think it’s because I didn’t go through the Disney route, I didn’t go corny, but, like, at the same time I’ve been cool and collected."

Now the trick for Justin Bieber is to make the sometimes difficult transition between the teen and adult worlds. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of stars like Justin Timberlake and Usher who succeeded in leaving their teen image behind.

Two rising stars unite?

Here’s some news that will make both pop and hip hop music fans happy: two of the fastest rising stars in their respective music genres, both Canadians to boot, are thinking about teaming up to make music together.

The two stars are Justin Bieber, at the top of the Billboard 200 music chart since the release of My World 2.0, and Toronto rapper Drake. His album, Thank Me Later, drops in May and is one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year. They are talking about meeting up in studio to record a song.

This would not be the first time these Canadian boys have worked together. Drake was in Justin Bieber’s Baby video. He was one of Bieber’s friends in the video’s bowling alley scene. Both singers also sang a part in the Young Artists for Haiti Wavin’ Flag remake that is raising money for disaster victims in Haiti.

Bieber talked about his admiration for Drake in an interview with Combust. He said, "He’s a great artist and we’ve already talked about it; we haven’t done it yet, but it’s definitely in the works."

Justin Bieber will take back first place

Usher’s new album Raymond vs. Raymond jumps onto the prestigious Billboard 200 chart in number one place. The R&B singer knocked 16-year old Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber from the top spot but this will not last long.

Bieber has been number one on the chart since the release of My World 2.0 on March 19. It was his second album release in less than five months. My World first appeared in stores on November 17, 2009.

Usher’s new album pushed My World 2.0 out of first place. The ironic part to this story is that Usher produced Justin Bieber’s album. He has been a mentor to the young singer since signing Bieber to his Island/Def Jam label.

Music insiders say that Usher’s Raymond vs. Raymond will not have the same sales next week. At the same time, the Bieber tidal wave persists and sales of his album are expected to stay strong. Since no other major albums are being released next week, this means that Bieber will no doubt reclaim that coveted #1 spot.

Justin Bieber will be the musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live (April 10). He will perform two songs from his new album.
