Musk suspended Ye from Twitter for posting a swastika

Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has suspended Kanye West, now known as Ye, from Twitter after he posted an image of a swastika inside the Star of David.

In a tweet, Musk confirmed the suspension, noting that Ye “again violated [Twitter’s] rule against incitement to violence.” Moreover, Ye previously tweeted an uncomplimentary picture of Musk, prompting Musk to tweet another clarification that Ye was banned “for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me being hosed by Ari.”

Twitter suspended Ye’s account in early October after he shared an antisemitic post, but Musk allowed Ye to return after taking over the company.

The new tweet that got Ye suspended came after he appeared on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars program. During the appearance, Ye went on an antisemitic rant and praised Adolf Hitler, saying, “I see good things about Hitler.”

Following the rant, Parlement Technologies, the parent company of right-wing “free speech” social platform Parler, confirmed that Ye would no longer be purchasing the platform. Parler announced the Ye acquisition back in October. For those unfamiliar with Parler, it played a role in the January 6th, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and was subsequently banned from Google and Apple app stores. The app later returned to both app stores after agreeing to moderate posts.

Ye also recently expressed increased support for right-wing causes, most notably meeting with former president Donald Trump and white nationalist Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago last week.

Ye was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016 and shared his struggles publicly in a 2019 interview with David Letterman.

Ye’s Essentials playlist pulled from Apple Music

After being kicked off of Twitter and Instagram (although he’s unbanned from Twitter now), American rapper Ye, better known as Kanye West, has had his Apple Music Essentials playlist removed by the Cupertino-based company, as reported by Rolling Stones. This comes as a result of Ye’s recent antisemitic statements and anti-black rhetoric.

It’s worth noting that only the ‘Kanye West Essentials’ artist playlist and the ‘Kanye West Video Essentials’ playlist have been removed by Apple Music. Artist-specific essential playlists feature the most prominent and influential songs from the artist’s entire career. His full discography remains intact on the music streaming platform.

The move from Apple makes its music streaming service the first to take action against Ye’s comments and might pave the way for other music streaming services to follow suit. Spotify, however, has made it clear that it wouldn’t remove the artist’s music, “unless his label requested it,” according to Reuters. “It’s really just his music, and his music doesn’t violate our policy,” said Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. “It’s up to his label if they want to take action or not.”

West has spent most of his career with Def Jam Recordings, concluding his contract with the Donda album last year. While he is no longer signed to Def Jam, the label and its parent company Universal Music Group remain responsible for maintaining his catalogue of music.

“There is no place for antisemitism in our society. We are deeply committed to combating antisemitism and every other form of prejudice,” said Universal Music Group in a statement following Ye’s antisemitic statements.

Kanye West to acquire Parler following Twitter, Instagram ban

Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has entered into an agreement to acquire American microblogging and social networking service Parler.

The platform, which is primarily popular with Donald Trump supporters, conservatives, conspiracy theorists and far-right extremists, has been downloaded 6.2 million times in the United States and 8.5 million times worldwide across iOS and Google Play store, as of October 16th, according to data from data.ai.

The platform had roughly 983,000 global monthly active users in the first half of 2022.

“The acquisition ensures Parler a future role in creating an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome,” wrote Parler in its Twitter post announcing the agreement. This comes soon after Ye was banned from Twitter and Instagram over antisemitic posts.

“This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech. Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again,” said Parler CEO George Farmer.

It’s worth noting that the platform was removed from the App Store and Google Play Store following the U.S. Capitol riots in January 2021. The platform was subsequently reinstated under then-interim CEO, Mark Meckle.

West recently also came under fire for wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ T-Shirt to his daughter’s basketball game, which is widely considered a white supremacist phrase.

Ye’s acquisition comes soon after he terminated his partnership with apparel retailer Gap, while Adidas has put the rapper’s Yeezy brand “under review.”

The deal is expected to close by the end of 2022.

Kanye West launching Donda 2 as Stem Player exclusive album

Kanye West, or Ye as he’s referred to now, has announced his plans to release Donda 2 as a Stem Player exclusive. For the uninitiated, Stem Player is Ye’s proprietary music player.

On Instagram, Ye revealed that Donda 2 will only be available to listen to via the Stem Player. Ye went on to explain the decision to not make the album available on Spotify, Apple Music, or even YouTube.

In the post, Ye writes: “Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system.” The musician believes that moving the release of his album to the Stem Player will allow him to “take control”.

The Stem Player launched last year and had the first Donda album pre-installed. The Stem Player also touts that it allows users to “customize any song” with controls for vocals, instruments, effects, etc. It’s currently available for $200 USD (roughly $252 CAD). It also features four touch-sensitive light sensors, a haptics engine, a 97DB built-in speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, and 8GB of storage.

Ye partnered with Kano Computing and claims that production is ramping up. The musician says 67,000 Stem Player units are available. 3,000 units are manufactured each day.

Donda 2 will February 22, 2022. However, given the tumultuous release of the first Donda album, we may see a delay or two from Ye.

Kim Kardashian West shares family photo

Kim Kardashian West "cried" after taking a family photo.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has shared the first photo of herself and husband Kanye West, 40, with all three of their children, North, four, Saint, two, and three-month-old Chicago and she admitted it was very stressful trying to get all the youngsters to pose successfully.

She captioned her Instagram post: "I don’t think you really understand how hard it is to take a good family pic. This was all we got before all three kids started crying. I think I cried too (sic)"

And sharing the same photo on Twitter, the 37-year-old beauty admitted everything wasn’t as serene as it seemed in the shot.

She wrote: "One hand holding the baby and the other hand grabbing the back of Saints shirt because he kept running away lol.(sic)"

Kim recently admitted she was "shocked" that her oldest daughter North has been so "nice" to her baby sister because she struggled to adjust when Saint was born.

She said: "They love her. I’m so shocked that North is so nice and she’s still… it’s her world and she’s the sweetest, but it’s more like she and Saint have a thing. She’s very warm with her sister."

And Kim thought Saint would’ve been riddled with jealousy when little Chicago entered the household, but he smothers her in "kisses and hugs" every day.

She explained: "I was more worried about him, that he would be more jealous, [like] how North was with Saint. But he’s so good with her. Every day he has to give kisses and hugs. Literally, as I was walking in, [I was looking] on my phone at the video Kanye sent me with the kids trying to climb into her crib."

Kim Kardashian West was ‘shocked’ by ‘nice North’

Kim Kardashian West was "so shocked" at how "nice" North was to her baby sister.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has made no secret of the fact her eldest daughter North, four, struggled to adjust when her little brother Saint, two, was born because she didn’t like having to share her parents’ attention with someone else.

But the 37-year-old businesswoman has admitted she was pleasantly surprised when she introduced their third child Chicago – born via a surrogate in January – to her.

Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said: "They love her. I’m so shocked that North is so nice and she’s still… it’s her world and she’s the sweetest, but it’s more like she and Saint have a thing. She’s very warm with her sister."

The brunette beauty thought Saint would’ve been riddled with jealously when little Chicago entered the household, but he smothers her in "kisses and hugs" every day.

Kim and her husband Kanye West, 40, were forced to hire a surrogate to carry their third child because doctors had warned the reality TV star that she may die if she were to fall pregnant again due to the complications she suffered during the first two.

She said: "It [using a surrogate] really is a game-changer, not having to breastfeed and get back into shape. I mean, I was so proud of myself that I did that [with the first two], but I do feel like my house is so full. But in the best way. It’s amazingly full."

And the showbiz couple – who have been married since 2014 – wouldn’t rule out having another baby in the future but Kim doesn’t know if she could handle more.

She said recently: "I’ve gotta live for a second. I mean, if it were up to my husband, we’d have like, seven, but, you know, it’s a lot. It might change, I don’t know. Maybe four is all I can handle. Maybe three is all I can handle."

Kristen Bell proud of protesters

Kristen Bell got "choked up" by the March for Our Lives demonstrations.

The ‘Good Place’ star has a lot of hope for the future thanks to the efforts of the student organisations who arranged the major gun violence protest in Washington D.C., and around 800 others across the US, over the weekend and finds the next generation of politically active teenagers "really inspiring".

She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "It honestly gets me choked up, because I think this is the generation we’ve been waiting for.

"They’re the ones who are going to get it done and it’s just really inspiring to watch."

And the 37-year-old actress – who has daughters Lincoln, four, and Delta, three, with husband Dax Shepard – is "eternally grateful" for the efforts of protesters in trying to increase gun safety and end firearm violence.

She added: "Knowing that these kids have a genuine chance of making things a little bit better for when my kids go to school, I am eternally grateful."

Kristen isn’t the only star to have praised those behind the demonstrations.

John Cena shared videos and images from the protests when he hosted the Kids Choice Awards on Saturday (24.03.18) and praised the "amazing" efforts.

He said: "I know it’s going to be an amazing night, but kids everywhere have already made it an amazing day. So I just want to take a moment to celebrate what kids across the nation accomplished today.

"From Washington D.C., Florida, even here in Los Angeles, all over the country, all over the world, kids made their voices heard with the incredible March for Our Lives, and it all happened because you want to make the world a better place."

A number of famous faces got involved with the marches, including Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West, Sir Paul McCartney, Miley Cyrus, George and Amal Clooney, Reese Witherspoon, Jimmy Fallon, Lady Gaga, Dwayne Johnson, Camila Cabello and Demi Lovato.

Kim Kardashian West reveals why concealer is her go-to product

Kim Kardashian West relies on concealer to hide "really dark circles" under her eyes.

The 37-year-old beauty is among the most photographed women in the world, but Kim has revealed she has a go-to beauty product that ensures she doesn’t look tired in front of the cameras.

Asked about the one product that changed her life on the Beauty Bosses podcast, Kim – who has worked with make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic to perfect her look – explained: "It was concealer and the way Mario put concealer under my eyes was a big change for me.

"I have really dark circles. Mario was like we are going heavy and we are going to contour and conceal and he taught me everything I know."

The brunette beauty – who is married to rap star Kanye West – has no qualms about applying lots of make-up.

Of her reliance on the concealer, Kim shared: "I was so shocked and I fell in love. I am a heavy make-up kind of girl."

Meanwhile, Kim recently revealed that her sisters think she’s "crazy" because she goes for beauty treatments at 10pm.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who has children North, four, Saint, two, and Chicago, three months – said: "For me to be sane [I have to take some time]. Like last night at 10pm, I went to get a facial. I was like, OK, I’ve put all the kids to bed – I have to take care of myself.

"I really needed this facial, and I’ll go to bed at midnight tonight.

"Even my sisters think I’m crazy because I’ll take the time to do that when most people won’t, or I’ll get up at 5am and work out before the kids get up.

"I try to do ‘my’ time on off-time – so that’s really limiting. My schedule is really intense, but I feel like it’s still a priority to me to pamper myself and take care of myself for my own sanity."

Kim Kardashian West’s late night treatments

Kim Kardashian West’s sisters think she’s "crazy" because she goes for beauty treatments at 10pm.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who has children North, four, Saint, two, and Chicago, two months, with husband Kanye West – needs to take some time for herself to stay "sane" but because of her commitments to her work and family, it means she often has to do that at unsociable times.

She said: "For me to be sane [I have to take some time].

"My schedule is really intense, but I feel like it’s still a priority to me to pamper myself and take care of myself for my own sanity."

The 37-year-old star takes screenshots of bad pictures of herself to show her facialist she’s in need of a treatment, and admitted it’s a "dream come true" that her beauty therapist is so accommodating.

She told Glamour.com: "Sometimes I’ll see a picture of myself that I don’t like, so I’ll screen-grab it and text it to her, and go, ‘Oh my God, my face is falling, we need a tightening facial.’

"Then she’s just like, ‘OK, when do you want to come in?’ I said, ‘Honestly, could we do it ASAP?’ And she said, ‘OK, why don’t we both put our kids to bed – she has four of them – and then meet up later?’ Dream come true.

"Her name is Melissa, and she’s at this little salon in West Hollywood called Skin Thesis. She’s amazing."

And Kim urged all her fans to ensure they take some time to do the things that make them happy.

She said: "I want to spend as much time with my kids as possible. I love the morning routine, I love the night routine, so that’s the priority for me, over all of this.

"If I can spend the extra time pampering myself and doing something for me, it helps with self-confidence. It might not be important to other people, and I understand that. Sleep might be more important, and I definitely try to get my sleep as well. It’s a balance.

"But I think if it helps your soul to feel better about yourself and you look good, you’re going to feel great, be more present, and just be happier.

"So why not take the time to do what makes you happy? Whether it’s going to the movies with your friends, going to dinner at night with your friends–whatever it is, if that helps you be more present in the time that you are with your kids, then that’s what you should do."

Kim Kardashian West wants to look good when sick

Kim Kardashian West has admitted she "definitely" wants her glam squad to work on her if she’s too ill to communicate.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has confirmed rumors there is a request in her will about how she wants her hair and make-up to be done if she’s unable to give verbal direction, because even if she’s "s***ting on" herself, she still wants to look "as good as possible".

She confirmed: "Absolutely. I made a section that if I am so out of it that I can’t even communicate and I’m, like, s***ting on myself, I definitely need my hair, my nails and my make-up done.

"I want to look as good as possible."

And the 37-year-old beauty also admitted she regularly receives "inspirational" emails from her husband, Kanye West, advising her on everything from what to wear to where they should go on vacation.

Asked about various headlines about herself and her family in a video for Elle.com, she said of the stories about Kanye’s emails: "Absolutely he does. Kanye sent me an email to not wear huge sunglasses anymore and what he does is he’ll just send me amazing mood boards and great references of smaller glasses and say ‘Oh my god, you have to have your team find these’ and ‘These look really cool, you have to find these’.

"He sends me inspirational e-mails. Whether it’s home decor or vacation spots, he sends me these mood boards. He’s really good at that."

Kim – who has children North, four, Saint, two, and three-month-old Chicago with her spouse – also confirmed she won’t let being a parent stop her from posting raunchy selfies.

She said: "A third baby will not stop me from posting racy photos. I will always post whatever I Want to post and nothing will stop me."
