Kanye West and 50 Cent Make Peace

According to FemaleFirst, the two rappers resolved their conflicts over a few glasses of vodka at the 40/40 Club in New York last Wednesday. West and 50 Cent were hanging out that evening with Jay-Z, P. Diddy and T.I.

A source that was at the club told the New York Post, "They all strolled through the club like the rap Rat Pack. Everyone was going crazy around them. Kanye and Fiddy put their differences behind them and had a drink together at the bar."

This conflict between 50 Cent and Kanye West started when West announced that his album, Graduation, would be released on the same day that as 50 Cent’s album, Curtis.

Kanye West’s Inspiration

FemaleFirst reported that Kanye West is doing a tribute to Justin Timberlake by designating him as the only contemporary musician that has influenced him.  He went further by stating that they are the modern-day equivalent of Prince or Michael Jackson. West admitted that he owes his success to Timberlake.

He told XxL magazine, "My biggest inspiration and biggest competition is Justin Timberlake. He’s the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level – black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn’t come out and killed the game, I can’t say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they’re on. We push each other. I look at me and Justin like Prince and Michael Jackson in their day".

50 Cent Does Not His Competitors

According to FemaleFirst, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, does not want to be friends with his two competitors.

When asked if he felt a bit of competition between them, he replied, "Nah. I don’t even like them."

The hip-hop star refused to take back what he said. 50 Cent claimed that he respects Diddy, but would not call him to ask for advice.
On the site SOHH.com, he stated, "In business, I respect what he does. But if we liked each other, we’d call each other to talk for no reason. And me and Puffy, we don’t have conversations."
Diddy and Jay-Z are not the first to have been pushed aside by 50 Cent.  Kanye West had a disagreement with him recently.

Kanye West Didn’t Change His Mind

According to FemaleFirst, West will not be changing the release date, although it is also the same day that 50 Cent will be releasing his disc Curtis.

West had previously planned to release his album, entitled Graduation, on August 21.  West told MTV, "The date, Graduation, September 11, we ain’t moving.  I’d rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 – where people are excited about going to the stores and it’s an event and people talk about it – and be number two on that day, rather than come out and be number one on a day nobody cares about."
