Kim Kardashian smells Gold with new fragrance

From clothes, shoes and weight loss supplements to skincare, hair care and fast food, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, 30, has taken celebrity endorsements to a whole new level, and now she smells Gold with the launch of her new fragrance of the same name, reports People.

Following up the successful launch of her signature perfume in 2009, Kardashian is promoting her newest perfume Gold at malls across America.

The star recalled that when her father went away on business trips, he always returned with a gift of perfume for her. “I hated when he bought perfume for his girlfriends, but loved it when he bought me a glamorous bottle of his favorite scent of gardenia. So when I was developing ‘Gold,’ I thought of him and other happy times in my childhood.”

At the perfume launch at Macy’s in the Aventura Mall outside of Miami, Kardashian told the group: “To me, summer is sexy, beachy and glamorous with thoughts turning to romantic evenings. I wanted something powerful yet not too sweet. I got stressed out while developing the scent because I wanted it to be just perfect.” 

The fragrance combines top notes of Italian bergamot and grapefruit with a hint of spicy pink peppercorn, along with a floral heart of jasmine, delicate rose and golden resins of amber and creamy benzoin. Musk provides the trailing base note.

“I am very hands on with my fragrances,” she explained her choice of packaging design. “I really didn’t want a square bottle of any type. I am curvy and think my fragrance should represent me. So I picked a sleek round vessel in gold with ebony accents.”

Kim Kardashian releases new single

Yesterday (March 2), reality TV star Kim Kardashian released her fundraising debut single Jam (Turn It Up) on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM radio show, reports Billboard.

The 30-year-old celebutante first previewed the song at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas, and it is now available on iTunes with proceeds going to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

"My good friend Ciara was like, ‘The-Dream wants your number’ and I was like, ‘Please, I’m sure he does’ and she said, ‘No seriously he really wants to do a song with you’," Kardashian told Seacrest, of how she came to work with producer The-Dream.

"[He said] let’s just have fun. Let’s donate the proceeds, let’s just have fun with it don’t take yourself seriously, try something you’ve never done before."

While there is no word on whether the single will become part of a full album, a music video has been confirmed. Kardashian posted pictures from the shoot on her blog, dressed in white fur with her hair done up in braids.

"It took about four hours to do, and believe it or not I fell asleep! I wish I could have worn it longer. We tried out a number of different looks in the video, and I’ll be sharing the other looks with you guys here on my blog," she wrote.

Kim Kardashian debuts single in March

A little like Paris Hilton, who she seems to have replaced in the tabloids, many people wonder: what’s Kim Kardashian famous for?

Once again, following a similar trajectory to the hotel heiress, Kardashian, 30, comes from a wealthy family, stars in a reality show with her sister Kourtney, had one of her sex tapes leaked online, and enjoys stepping out to night clubs.

Although she’s spent no time in jail like Hilton, Kardashian can now also add singer to her résumé with the launch of her very first single, Turn It Up, in three weeks.

The fundraising record was created with the help of producers The-Dream, plus a slick new music video shot by Hype Williams will also debut in about three weeks.

Kardashian, 30, explained that she didn’t record the song with plans to launch a music career. "I’m proud of myself that I tried something. It’s all in fun," she said. "We just had a good time and the proceeds are going to a cancer organization [because we both] lost a parent to cancer. So it’s just fun."

Kim Kardashian promotes laser hair removal

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has signed on to promote an at-home laser hair removal system from TRIA Beauty company, reports Coco Perez.

Gracing the cover of Allure magazine, in an article of the September issue, Kardashian says that being half Armenian has made her obsessive about body hair.

"I am Armenian, so of course I am obsessed with laser hair removal! Arms, bikini, legs, underarms…my entire body is hairless." Kardashian also went on to talk about her regret over her sex tape and posing for Playboy.

This celebrity endorsement is sure to helps sales of the laser hair removal system that is supposed to remove body hair painlessly and permanently. The product offers five speeds, which allows treatments to be tailored to the colour and density of hair.

The company’s website guarantees permanent results. It states that their $495 machine was created by the same scientists who made in-office laser hair removal systems.

Laser hair removal is supposed to free you from a lifetime of shaving, waxing, ingrown hairs and razor burn. They say they are the only laser that can deliver permanent, professional results at home.

The FDA-cleared instrument promises results in as little as 90 days, and after 6 to 8 months you’re done.

Kim Kardashian designs jewelry collection

On Tuesday (November 16), reality TV star Kim Kardashian, 30, unveiled her first in a series of jewelry collections for Bebe, reports Coco Perez.

Last May, Kardashian revealed she would work with Pascal Mouawad to create a line of necklaces, earrings, cuffs, bracelets, and rings – “statement pieces that you can wear day or night to make your look stylish and fun!” according Kardashian’s website.

This is not the first time Kardashian has designed jewelry. In April, she launched a collection called ‘Virgin Saints and Angels’ with her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe.

“I really loved working with my sisters to create all of our Bebe collections, but it was also really amazing getting to branch out and design this jewelry line on my own,” said Kardashian. Her second, more upscale, collection, called ‘Belle Noel’ will be available in January.

The American beauty has her finger in many pies including numerous retail ventures that carry her name: perfume, shoes, clothing lines, and even a sunless tanner, all the while modeling and making guest appearances on various TV shows. She has recently written a book with her sisters, which is due out November 23.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, 30, models for the ad campaign of her new Divinity collection for Beach Bunny Swimwear, reports Coco Perez.

In the photos, Kardashian sports a platinum blond wig in a sci-fi setting – in homage to Barbarella, the campy classic 1968 film which starred Jane Fonda.

“My Divinity Collection was inspired by Jane Fonda in the movie Barbarella, where she plays a super-sci-fi-sexy Queen of the Galaxy!” said the beautiful celeb.

“This collection incorporates everything I love in a bikini… shimmer, animal print, side ties in the bottoms… I even designed a gorgeous chiffon tunic, because every girl needs a fab cover up for the beach.”

Among her many ventures, Kardashian launched her first fragrance in February and has plans to release another next year. As well, in partnership with sisters Kourtney, and Khloe, Kim has contributed to their sisterly autobiography entitled Kardashian Konfidential to be released in stores on November 23.

The Kardashian sisters launch a collection

Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian announced they are launching a new clothing and accessories collection.
 
The sisters teamed up with international fashion designer Bruno Schiavi and his Australian company, Jupi Corporation. They are developing a complete collection together that includes everything from ready-to-wear to lingerie to handbags and belts.
 
The sisters said: "We are excited to work with Bruno Schiavi in developing our first brand together. His expert design sensibilities and amazing creativity, and his genuine understanding of female consumers everywhere make him the ideal partner."
 
The first collection will hit stores in 2011. The sisters also plan to add travel accessories, shoes and children’s clothing in the future.
 
This is not the sisters’ first foray into fashion. They have worked with Beach Bunny Swimwear and Kim Kardashian created a jewellery collection. They also own a chain of fashion stores called Dash Boutique.
 
The fifth season of their reality television series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premieres on August 22.

Second scent by Kim Kardashian

She launched her first fragrance, Kim Kardashian, back in February. Now reality TV star Kim Kardashian has decided to do it again. She is developing a brand new fragrance that will be released next year, People reports.

Kardashian made the announcement on her official website, saying:  "I am so excited to tell you guys that my second fragrance will launch in February of 2011!!!!! I wanted to let you guys know here first so you can all share the excitement with me."

No other details were released about this new fragrance, but Kardashian says she is already working very hard to shoot the ad campaign.

The debut fragrance was developed in collaboration with Lighthouse Beauty.

In the first ad campaign, she was dressed in retro lingerie and a marabou coat, sitting in a hoop representing the shape of the bottle.

The fragrance was composed of ingredients selected according to the different parts of Kardashian’s personality. They evoked femininity while representing the star’s soft side.

Justin Bieber fans go off the deep end

Biebermania madness has moved to another level and this time fans have gone too far. Us magazine reports that Kim Kardashian is receiving death threats from jealous fans.

Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian both attended the White House Correspondents’ dinner in Washington, D.C. last Saturday (May 1) and briefly hung out.

After they met, the reality TV star wrote on her Twitter page: "I officially have Bieber fever!" The young singer rapidly responded by referring to Kardashian as his girlfriend.

Now Kardashian, 29, reveals that she has been getting some death threats from outraged Bieber fans. She took to Twitter again to write: "I’m getting death threats from your fans! This is unBeliebable!!!"

The 16-year old singing sensation is both surprised and completely shocked. He quickly wrote a message to fans telling them that Kim Kardashian is only a friend and to stop making the threats.

Bieber fans are getting more and more outrageous which is starting to worry the singer.

On April 27, a throng of admirers was waiting for the star at a New Zealand airport. His mother was pushed to the ground by fans. Bieber has asked his fans to turn it down a notch or he will be forced to cancel future autograph sessions.

A concert in Sydney, Australia had to be cancelled when the 5,000-strong crowd of young girls got a bit too hysterical for police. Several girls passed out and police shut the gong show down.

Celeb fashionistas in shock

A shockwave hit the fashion world yesterday (February 11) with the news of British designer Alexander McQueen’s death at age 40.

Many stars, including Kate Moss, are overcome. A Moss rep says, "Kate is shocked and devastated at the tragic loss of her dear friend Lee McQueen. Her thoughts are with his family at this sad time."

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker also expressed her grief, saying the red carpet would not be the same without him. "I am shocked and overcome with grief upon learning about the untimely death of the quiet genius Alexander McQueen. My heart goes out to his family and all those who worked for and with him," says Parker. McQueen had dressed her personally for the London premiere of Sex and the City.

Several other stars, from Kim Kardashian to Dita Von Teese, paid tribute to McQueen on their Twitter page.

The designer, born Lee Alexander McQueen, died Wednesday night (February 10) at his London home.
