“Joker – Folie à Deux” : a musical format with Lady Gaga

The rumor had been running for a few months. Lady Gaga will indeed be in the film Joker – Folie à Deux.

The sequel to the Oscar-winning film, Joker: Folie à Deux will be released in theaters onOctober 4, 2024, five years after the original film.

According to the report of Deadline, Joker: Folie à Deux will likely take place in Arkham Asylum, the place where Arthur Fleck was inserted before he made his daring escape.

In this film, which should be a “musical” drama, Lady Gaga who turned 36 on March 28, is expected to play the iconic character of Harley Quinn.

From this point on, the title Folie à Deux (shared madness) makes sense since Fleck and Quinn should share a colossal delirium in this logical sequel.

Even though a sequel was not originally planned, the monster success of the film, which grossed over a billion dollars, guided director Todd Phillips towards a second production.

For Lady Gaga, Joker: Folie à Deux will mark her seventh film appearance. She has previously been seen in Machete Kills (2013), Muppets Most Wanted (2014), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Gaga: Five Foot Two (2017), A Star Is Born (2018) and House of Gucci (2021).

Lady Gaga’s dog thief is finally back in jail

The three dogs are back with the singer

Five months after kidnapping Lady Gaga‘s two French bulldogs, James Howard Jackson is finally back behind bars, the Daily Mail reported.

The thief was jailed, then released a few days later due to a bureaucratic error. Jackson was one of five people arrested on February 24 following the attack.

Last month, the U.S. Marshall announced that he would give a $5,000 reward for information that could help him arrest James Howard Jackson.

Remember that Ryan Fisher, Lady Gaga’s dog walker, was shot in the chest by the burglars before they kidnapped Asia, Koji and Gustav, the singer’s dogs. Unfortunately, he lost part of a lung.

Two days later, the dogs were brought back to the pop star by a lady who mentioned finding them tied up outside. The lady in question later asked to receive the $500,000 promised by the singer in exchange for her dogs. However, she was accused of receiving stolen property.

Lady Gaga could be in “Joker 2

Lady Gaga is reportedly preparing to return to the big screen. The singer would be approached to play alongside Joaquin Phoenix in a sequel to Joker.

According to Deadline, the 36-year-old star would play Harley Quinn, the psychiatrist who treats the Joker at Arkham Asylum. She would fall in love with the criminal and become his sidekick.

Director Todd Phillips revealed last week part of the script planned for Joker: Madness for two. Few other details have leaked, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the new film would be a musical, an art form in whichLady Gaga excels.

Lady Gaga confirmed her acting talent in the lead role of A Star is Born in 2018, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. She recurred with another strong performance in House of Gucci in 2021.

Joker, released in 2019, has grossed over $1 billion worldwide. Joaquin Phoenix, who has not yet confirmed his participation in the second installment but is reportedly interested in taking part, won the Best Actor award at the Oscars for the role.
