Lady Gaga wants wedding ceremony in space

Lady Gaga is planning to get married in space.

The 28-year-old singer wants to have a commitment ceremony with Taylor Kinney, 33, outside of the Earth’s atmosphere at the beginning of next year while onboard Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ”Gaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up.

”It would be typical of her to have the least conventional ‘wedding ever. Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn’t be a priest or religious figure there. But they don’t care about convention, it’s more about making each other a life-long promise.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Applause’ hitmaker is set to perform during the trip into space on the special flight – which will cost $250,000 per seat – and she is looking forward to using the opportunity to spread a ”message of love”.

She said: ”Performing in space is such an honor. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond.”

Meanwhile, Gaga – who will reportedly get her ticket into space for free – will have to prepare a month prior to the event to make sure her body can handle the changes in the atmospheric pressure whilst singing.

Lady Gaga’s former aide to release tell-all book

Lady Gaga’s former assistant is to release a tell-all book.

The ‘Do What U Want’ hitmakers’ former assistant Jennifer O’Neill has landed a $1million book deal with Simon & Schuster imprint Atria Books, the New York Post newspaper’s PageSix reports.

O’Neill – who worked for Gaga during the superstar’s 2009 to 2011 ‘Monster Ball’ tours and sued in 2011 claiming she was owed pay for over 7,000 hours of overtime – will release the tome under the title ‘Fame Monster’.

Jennifer has not yet delivered her manuscript to Atria, however, legal documents from her court battle with the singer gives an insight into the ”monstrous” material that can be expected.

She testified that she was ”required” to sleep in the same bed as Gaga ”because she didn’t sleep alone” and was also expected ”to be working and available 24/7” for a salary of just $75,000.

Jennifer added: ”I had no privacy, no chance to talk to any family, no chance to talk to any friends, no chance to have sex if I wanted to have sex. There was no chance to do anything.”

However, Gaga fought the lawsuit – which she later agreed to settle out of court for undisclosed terms – and blasted Jennifer in a sworn deposition as a ”f**king hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn’t earn”.

She added: ”I am the queen of the universe, every day … I’m quite wonderful to everybody that works for me”.

No release date for ‘Fame Monster’ has so far been set.

Lady Gaga was poisoned by fame

Lady Gaga’s former friend claims she was ”poisoned by fame”.

The ‘Applause’ hitmaker was championed by gossip blogger Perez Hilton at the start of her career but the pair had a bitter feud and he thinks the main reason they fell out was because fame changed her.

The blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr, claims he was hanging out with Gaga in Sydney, Australia when they fell out and she was taking part in a special he was filming, which included a cooking demonstration with the 28-year-old star.

During an appearance on Australian talk show ‘Mornings’, he told hosts Sonia Kruger and David Campbell: ”Actually, all the drama went down in Australia in the summer of 2011.

”She proceeded to get obliterated drunk, drinking Jameson, and she was a surprisingly functioning drunk woman.”

He insists he was sober during the interview and Gaga became upset over a question about her song ‘Judas’ and another question about her boyfriend.

He said: ”The [question] framing made her real angry.

”The fact that I brought up her boyfriend made her livid and she stormed off the set and stopped the interview.”

Asked if he thought it was the alcohol which made her react the way she did, he replied: ”No, I think it was fame that just poisoned her.

”She had an album ‘Fame Monster’, her second album, and she became consumed by that which she was fascinated about. You know, fame can be a very deadly drug and it has damaged her personally.”

The blogger claims he has ”zero interest” in being friends with her again and insists he doesn’t need people like her in his life.

He added: ”I think she has unfortunately become a victim of this character she created. Instead of being an artist she became this freak and this cartoon character and so unrelateable to people.”

Lady Gaga buys 27 koi carp

Lady Gaga has bought 27 koi carp fish to entertain her as she recovers from hip surgery.

The ‘Edge of Glory’ hitmaker – who is recuperating after a labral tear on her right hip forced her to cancel the rest of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour – has installed a massive fish tank in her home and imported the exotic fish from Japan to cheer her up.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Gaga said she’d had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank. The whole exercise cost over $60,000, which is a lot to most people but small change to her."

The 26-year-old singer has been ordered to have "strict downtime" after the emergency operation last month.

Gaga was left unable to walk as she tried to power through the injury and complete her world tour, but ultimately cancelled the US leg in order to seek medical treatment.

The ‘Bad Romance’ songstress previously admitted she hid her ailment from her staff in order to continue with the concerts and was "devastated" when she had to cancel the remaining dates.

She said: "I hid it from my staff. I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However, after last night’s performance I could not walk and still can’t.

"I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. I’m devastated & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible. I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I’m sorry."

Lady Gaga undergoes surgery

Lady Gaga has undergone hip surgery.

The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker recently cancelled her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour and revealed she is using a wheelchair after contracting a painful injury and inflammation of her joints, known as synovitis, and has now gone under the knife to help her back to health.

She tweeted yesterday (20.02.13): "Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you."

Following the operation, she thanked her fans for giving her the strength to get through her ordeal and put her problems in perspective.

In an open letter to fans, she wrote: "Thank You Monsters, You really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you’ve shared with me about your lives. Meeting you backstage, reading your letters, watching you communicate with fans from around the globe to form a community that supports one another–You have completely blown my mind.

"As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles – sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it’s even possible.

"So I thought to myself, I’m alive, I’m living my dream, and this is just a bump in the road. I’m grateful because this is temporary, and for some it is not. You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything."

Lady Gaga cancels tour

Lady Gaga is to undergo emergency surgery.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer has been forced to cancel all 25 of the remaining US dates of the ‘Born This Way Ball’, after suffering a severe injury to her right hip that has been causing her chronic pain.

A statement was posted on the 26-year-old star’s official website on Wednesday (02.13.13), saying: "Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga ‘Born This Way Ball’ performances have been canceled.

"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal. Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013."

The announcement came just one day after the singer issued a public apology after initially canceling four shows due the injury and revealed she can barely walk due to the inflammation of her joints, known as synovitis.

Gaga said: "I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for some time now, [and] over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal.

"I hid it from my staff. I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However, after last night’s performance I could not walk and still can’t."

She admitted she is "devastated" about the cancelation and sought forgiveness from her fans, saying: "I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. I’m devastated & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible. I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I’m sorry."

The world tour began in Seoul, South Korea on April 27, 2012 and was originally due to end in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 20, 2013.
