Art book for The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom leaks ahead of game’s launch

Fans have been eagerly awaiting The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and its May 12 release date. Ahead of its launch, leaks stemming from its official art book have leaked online.

As a general PSA to our readers, all 204-pages of the art book are now available online. The art book is an official inclusion in the game’s collectors edition, due this spring. All pages of the art book are available in full on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit (for those interested in seeing it). We will not be posting any of the images. However, based on a few images seen, the leak does look authentic.

The version of the Tears Of The Kingdom art book is the Japanese version. Therefore, it’s hard to glean any information from the book’s descriptions and text. From the small handful of images seen, it’s anecdotally apparent that the art book is fairly basic. To no surprise, Link is shown in full, wearing an assortment of outfits and costumes. Additionally, the art book covers some of the game’s enemies, environments, and buildings.

Thankfully, it appears as though the art book is basic enough to keep major elements of the game hidden. The art book isn’t revealing any major secrets as it’s a piece of supplemental bonus to go alongside the game at launch. The Tears Of The Kingdom art book doesn’t appear to cover or outline the story in any meaningful capacity. Even the way the images are laid out, there’s no apparent reveal of a narrative or anything like that. Additionally, there’s no allusion to whether or not Zelda is a playable character, a theory many players hold.

If you are hoping to go into Tears Of The Kingdom without any knowledge aside from trailers, it’s best to avoid the images now spreading across the internet. However, from our perspective, there’s nothing here that should make die-hard fans go into lockdown mode.

Earlier this month, Nintendo debuted a brand new look at the highly anticipated game. In it, we catch glimpses of Hyrule, new environments, abilities, and traversal vehicles.

We’re not too far away from the launch of Tears Of The Kingdom. Fingers crossed the leaks for the game stop here.

More Pixel Tablet details emerge, confirm no ‘pro’ variant

We’ve known for a while that Google is working on a Pixel Tablet — the company has teased the tablet multiple times already. However, beyond snippets of information from Google, we’ve had to rely on leaks and rumours for everything else we know. Well, the latest leak indicates some previous information about the Pixel Tablet was incorrect, namely the existence of a Pixel Tablet Pro.

Researcher and leaker Kuba Wojciechowski took to Twitter to share a new round of information about Google’s upcoming tablet. Wojciechowski started by explaining new information that supersedes their previous leak about the Pro tablet, based on uncovered codenames ‘tangor’ and ‘tangorpro.’ In short, Wojciechowski learned that tangorpro actually replaces the tangor variant of the Pixel Tablet — the only major difference between the two devices was the chip, with tangor using the first-gen Tensor and tangorpro using Tensor G2.

Wojciechowski tweeted that Google cancelled the tangor project and that we’re likely to get one Pixel Tablet — the tangorpro variant.

Moreover, Wojciechowski shared some information on the tablet’s other specs, citing an anonymous source. The Pixel Tablet will reportedly include 8GB of Samsung LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of Kioxia UFS storage. The tablet will also sport a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display. Wojciechowski  noted details of the display driver, writing that it’s “typically used for driving the backlight layer on LCDs, which means that the Pixel Tablet most likely doesn’t have an OLED screen.”

The Pixel Tablet does have two docking station options, one with a speaker and one that’s just for charging, as previously rumoured.

Finally, Wojciechowski shared several pictures of a Pixel Tablet on a charging stand, but the pictures don’t really reveal much we didn’t already know about the device. The biggest piece of information is a sticker on the tablet with the acronym ‘EVT,’ which stands for “engineering validation test.” According to 9to5Google, EVT is a common step in building and testing a new device. The stickers also reference the two docking stations.

How to thaw a frozen pipe before it bursts

1. Act quickly. Start troubleshooting as soon as you notice a drop or stop in water pressure. A small ice blockage can be quickly thawed, but wait too long and you may have to contend with burst pipes.

2. Turn off the water supply and have a mop and bucket on standby.

3. Turn up the heat. If part of your plumbing is frozen, chances are other areas may be at risk. Turn up your heat tape and heating to prevent anything else from freezing.

Cottage Q&A: Should we heat our empty cottage?

4. Locate the frozen area. Turn faucets on and off along the plumbing line to find the affected area. If you get no water or just a trickle, the pipe leading to that faucet is likely frozen. Frosted pipes are a telltale sign of a frozen section. Invest in an infrared thermometer gun ($30-$100) and take temperature readings along the line until you find the frozen section. (I have also found these devices handy for troubleshooting an overheating engine, monitoring a woodburning stove, and achieving the perfect dough temperature for baking sourdough bread.)

5. Thaw the frozen section by wrapping an electric heating pad around the pipe. Ensure the affected faucet is open to relieve pressure on the system as it thaws. Alternatively, use a portable space heater or a hair dryer. Start at the section nearest the faucet and work your way back, applying heat until full water pressure has returned.

6. If your pipes have already burst or you arrive at the cottage to find the plumbing frozen solid, it’s probably time to call the plumber.

Pixel 7 Pro prototype live images surface online

Last week we saw the Pixel 7 on eBay, and today, we’re getting a new live glimpse of a prototype Pixel 7 Pro.

Google’s upcoming handset was shared on SlashLeaks by Piyush Bhasarkar, a leaker that doesn’t really have a great track record, but SlashLeaks rated this leak 100 percent accurate.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This is the first glimpse of the Pixel 7 Pro’s front. In the past, we’ve seen the 7 Pro’s rear via Google at I/O earlier this year. However, the front showcases its long display and hole-punch camera. The display itself is very similar to the Pixel 6 Pro that Google launched last year.

On the rear, we can see that the handset lacks the ‘G’ Google logo, indicating that this is a prototype and not the official device. We can also see the new aluminum finish on its visor, making it more striking than the current Pixel 6 series.

The Pixel 7 Pro will launch in ‘Obsidian,’ ‘Snow’ and ‘Hazel’ colours, whereas the Pixel 7 will release in ‘Obsidian,’ ‘Snow’ and ‘Lemongrass.’ Additionally, it will come with Android 13, the next generation of Google’s Tensor chip and more. Recently, we learned that the second-gen Tensor chipset will host a 4nm process.

Google will launch the Pixel 7 Pro alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch later this fall. We expect an October launch like in previous years.

Samsung’s latest S22 series will reportedly release in these four colours

We already know quite a bit about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup through leaks, including the fact that the S22 Ultra will likely feature less RAM than its predecessor.

However, leakers have been relatively quiet about the device’s colours — at least until now. Often-reliable leaker Evan Blass has shared several reported press renders that show the S22 series in its full glory.

Check out the images below:

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will reportedly be available in the same ‘Black,’ ‘Dark/Olive Green,’ ‘Pink’ and ‘White’ colourways, while the larger S22 Ultra will offer the same shades and a darker pink variant.

From what we know so far, the Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and work with an S Pen. The other S22 models reportedly lack the S Pen support, sport an S21-like design with three cameras and feature the same Snapdragon 8 gen 1 chipset as the S22 Ultra.

While Samsung hasn’t officially announced a reveal date for the S22 series, previous leaks have indicated that we might get our first look at the device at Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 8th or 9th.

Here are the Pixel Fold and Galaxy S22 series leaks from this past week

Images, renders and videos of upcoming smartphones continuously leak. These can be challenging to follow, so we’ve compiled a list of the past week’s hottest rumours.

From January 10th to January 16th, we saw several leaks regarding Google’s rumoured Pixel 6 foldable, Samsung’s S22 series and Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

Below are all the major smartphone leaks from the past week:

Google

The new Android 12L Beta 2 update showcases animations that indicate Google’s rumoured Pixel foldable smartphone will feature an 8.4:9 aspect ratio that’s more square-like and in line with the Oppo Find N’s design. Previous device leaks made the device look like it featured a 22.5:18 aspect ratio similar to the Z Fold 3.

Samsung

A Samsung representative reportedly told Digital Daily that Samsung’s Galaxy S22 reveal event will be held on February 8th. In Canada, the S22 series will likely sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, feature up to 12GB of RAM and offer a substantial battery.

Motorola

Rumours about the Motorola Razr 3 indicate that the phone will offer more processing power than its predecessors. This source suggests that the smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 next-gen processor, an HD AMOLED display, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The device is also poised to sport ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, allowing the foldable to work with digital car keys and other UWB-compatible accessories and devices.

Motorola might also be working on a flagship smartphone that features a stylus, similar to Samsung’s Note series and the rumoured S22 Ultra.

The Smart Stylus would connect via Bluetooth to the smartphone and supports air gestures/wireless charging. Further, the leaked details indicate that the stylus can be used as an air mouse with an external display and that its buttons can also be utilized to control media.

When the user connects the stylus to the phone, a bubble will show the state of the stylus and indicate whether it’s charging. Tapping the bubble launches the apps that support the stylus. Additionally, the phone will have a Moto Edge 30 Ultra Folio Case that offers additional features when connected to Smart Stylus.

Apple

Apple will introduce its 3rd-gen iPhone SE in March or April during a virtual spring presentation, according to new rumours.

As expected, the smartphone will feature an iPhone 8-like design that includes a physical Home Button and sizable bezels, with key upgrades being 5G connectivity and the iPhone 13’s A15 chip.
