Margot Robbie found a foot on a beach

Margot Robbie once found a human foot on the beach.

The ‘I, Tonya’ actress was recently tasked with recalling the "craziest thing" that had happened to her by a director, and she told of the time she discovered a limb on the sand in Nicaragua.

She said: "I recently did a film, and the director asked if everyone could write down the craziest thing that has happened to them in their lives. I had spent two months with this group of people, probably about 60 people, and everyone seems super normal.

"And then everyone had to write down the craziest thing that happened to them, and it was released on the last day, and you had to guess whose story matched up with who. It just reminded me that fascinating people are everywhere. Everywhere.

"Someone had been engaged to the princess of Zanzibar. Someone else had been in a plane crash where only 10 people survived. It just reminds you there are fascinating stories everywhere. Everyone has a story.

"I once found – and no one guessed that this was me – I found a human foot on the beach in Nicaragua."

Margot didn’t give any other details about what she had done after discovering the foot, but Bryan Cranston quipped she now uses the limb as a door stop.

During a joint interview with Margot, Octavia Spencer, Armie Hammer, Robert Pattinson, and Diane Kruger, the ‘Breaking Bad’ star joked to the Hollywood Reporter: "She uses it as a door stop."

Margot, who visited Nicaragua in 2014, added: "Just a little souvenir."

The 27-year-old actress recently recalled she once refused to help her mother Sarie get rid of a python at their home in Australia during her younger years, only to later see the serpent trying to strangle her mum.

She said: "This one time when I was in my bratty teen years, my mum came in and said, ‘Can you help me get this snake out of the house?’ And I was like, ‘Mum, I’m really busy on MSN, no!’

"She was like, ‘It’s a big one, though.’ I was like, ‘I’m so busy, mum, no!’

"She went away and after 10 minutes I was like, ‘Where’s mum?’ After a while … I went down and she’s on the driveway and there’s this python, it was huge, it had wrapped its way up her arm and it’s trying to strangle her around her neck."

Margot Robbie refused to help her mother grapple a snake

Margot Robbie once refused to help her mother fight a python.

The Hollywood actress grew up on the Gold Coast in Australia and has recalled the surreal moment she walked out of her family home to see her mother Sarie trying to grapple the snake with her bare hands.

During her appearance ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Margot told the show’s stand-in host Chris Pratt: "This one time when I was in my bratty teen years, my mum came in and said, ‘Can you help me get this snake out of the house?’ And I was like, ‘Mum, I’m really busy on MSN, no!’

The 27-year-old star admitted the hair-raising experience taught her a valuable life lesson.

She confessed: "I knew, from that point on, any time mum asked me to help her move a giant snake to just do it."

Meanwhile, Margot recently admitted she would love to spend more of her time in Australia.

The actress – who married the British film director Tom Ackerley in 2016 – hopes to go Down Under a bit more following the launch of her own production company.

She recently said: "Ever since we got the company up and running, I was like: ‘We need to work with young directors, first- and second-time directors – male or female; we need to work with female writers, directors, actresses, obviously, and Aussies wherever possible. And let’s shoot stuff in Australia!’ That is my dream."

Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy’s second heart op a success

Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy’s second heart operation has gone ahead successfully.

The 50-year-old talk show host and wife Molly McNearney welcomed their second child William John, known as Billy, into the world seven months ago, and were devastated to learn he had to undergo life-saving heart surgery after doctors discovered he had a congenital heart defect, but surgery went well on Monday (04.12.17).

ABC released a statement, saying: "Jimmy’s son Billy had a scheduled and successful heart surgery this morning."

The network also announced that Jimmy will be taking time off to spend with his family and ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ will be hosted by a series of celebrity guests this week.

Chris Pratt took the chair on Monday to interview ‘Suicide Squad’ star Margot Robbie and country singer Chris Stapleton.

Jimmy tweeted: "Very thankful to Chris @PrattPrattPratt for filling in for me tonight with guests @MargotRobbie & @ChrisStapleton. You are Lord of Stars on the screen and off. (sic)"

Billy – who was born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with pulmonary atresia – was originally scheduled to have his second heart operation in late October, but it had to be postponed because the family were suffering from colds.

Jimmy explained: "Basically, the pulmonary valve was completely blocked and he has a hole in the wall between the left and right sides of his heart."

Billy will still have to undergo a third operation in the coming months.

Jimmy – who has kids Katie, 26, and Kevin, 24, with former wife Gina, and three-year-old Jane, as well as Billy, with spouse Molly McNearney – previously admitted he’s nervous for the procedures and wants to get them "over with".

He said: "We would like to get them over with and not have to think about it all the time, but it could definitely be worse."

Despite Billy’s condition, he is still a "healthy and happy" child.

Other stars due to guest host ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ this week include Tracee Ellis Ross, Neil Patrick Harris and Melissa McCarthy.

Margot Robbie’s newfound respect for ice skaters

Margot Robbie has a "newfound respect" for ice skaters.

The 27-year-old actress learned to ice skate for her role as figure skater Tonya Harding for ‘I, Tonya’ and admits she ended up falling on the ice "a bunch" of times, so much so that she has a "deep respect" for these sport stars.

Speaking to the New York Post’s Page Six column, she said: "I have a deep and newfound respect for ice skaters. It was really hard and I did fall a bunch – but it was also extremely fun. I had an amazing trainer who has worked with a lot of professionals. She was incredibly patient with me … It’s kind of like ballet. Half the art to it is making it look so effortless, when really it takes an extraordinary amount of power and strength and agility."

It comes after Margot revealed she was given some tips from Tonya herself about the best way to train for the role.

She said: "I was like, ‘I’ve been working on my legs. I’m trying to get stronger in my legs. She’s like, ‘Forget that, worry about your core strength’. I was like, ‘OK, I’ll do more sit ups.’"

And the ‘Suicide Squad’ star admits she found it "scary" playing someone who is still alive.

She confessed: "It’s scary playing a real life person especially when that person is still very much alive. Everyone has a recollection of what they think happened, and it’s kind of fun and interesting to show a different side of that story and maybe a side to Tonya that people weren’t expecting to see."

Margot Robbie not ready for kids

Margot Robbie isn’t ready to have children.

The ‘I, Tonya’ actress married her long-term partner Tom Ackerley last year and now some time has passed since their nuptials, she admitted they are constantly being quizzed on when they will start a family.

She said: "Everyone keeps [saying], ‘You’re married now — you have to have kids.’ You don’t have to. You can just be married."

The 27-year-old star has previously admitted to being "text buddies" with Prince Harry, but she isn’t expecting an invitation when he married actress Meghan Markle next May.

She said: "Everyone loves a royal wedding, when that wedding happens, the whole city is going to celebrate."

Asked if she thinks she’ll be invited to the wedding, she told ‘Extra’: "I didn’t invite him to mine, so he definitely doesn’t owe me to come to his."

Meanwhile, Margot recently admitted she doesn’t wear her wedding ring when she’s working because she’s afraid of losing it.

She said: "I can’t obviously wear it during the week when I’m working. I don’t want to lose it on set.

"I get to wear this on the weekends."

And the ‘Suicide Squad’ star – who met her director beau in 2013 on set of ‘Suite Francaise’ – believes nothing has changed between her and her 27-year-old husband since they tied the knot, as they still remain as "best friends and roommates".

She said: "That’s the thing, we were best friends and roommates before and now we’re like best friends and roommates still, so nothing’s really changed at all."

Meanwhile, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ star admitted juggling her career and her own production company has meant making a lot of personal sacrifices.

She said: "You miss out on a lot of things, like you rarely go on holidays, you miss everyone’s weddings, everyone’s birthdays.

"I haven’t been home once this year, I haven’t seen my best friends, my nephew. So there’s that side to it where it kind of hurts to sacrifice those things, but it’s also enormously satisfying to build something and to be part of something. "

Margot Robbie: Fame is bittersweet

Margot Robbie finds it "bittersweet" being away from home.

The 27-year-old actress hails from Australia, and has said it can be difficult spending so much time in Hollywood as she "misses" her family, but believes the long distance between her work and her home means she can make sure to separate the two parts of her life.

She said: "It’s bittersweet living outside of Australia, because I miss everyone so much, but the fact that they are so removed from it helps me keep my life and my work separate – even though they are intrinsically linked, because all I want to do is work all the time."

The blonde beauty believes she handles fame well, but says she would have found it "incredibly difficult" to cope if she had shot to fame like figure skater Tonya Harding – whom she plays in new movie ‘I, Tonya’ – who didn’t have a "support network" to help guide her.

Margot added: "But becoming famous at [Tonya’s] age without a support network around her, and without a clear distinction, I think would have been incredibly difficult."

The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress made the comments in an interview for Variety magazine alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays author Jeff Bauman – who lost his legs in the tragic Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 – in the biopic ‘Stronger’.

And the 36-year-old actor admits he learned similar things about fame from speaking to Jeff.

He told Margot in the publication: "I think that’s true. I learned from Jeff that he didn’t ask for those things – he didn’t ask for the attention and to become that thing, but he has slowly evolved into being able to hold that idea for people."

Margot Robbie praises Cara Delevingne for speaking out about Harvey Weinstein

Margot Robbie has hailed Cara Delevingne as a "fierce, brave woman" for speaking out her own experience of sexual harassment with Harvey Weinstein.

The 27-year-old actress has praised her "dear friend" for opening up about the frightening ordeal she endured, and although the ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ knew her pal was a strong character, she thinks her recent claim against the disgraced producer has proved how courageous her ‘Suicide Squad’ co-star truly is.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in support of the 25-year-old model, Margot said: "Cara is a dear friend of mine and I already knew she was a fierce, brave woman. Today just proved that again."

But the Australian star believed the whole ordeal is "so disturbing and sad", and she only hopes "good" will come out of the string of claims against the 65-year-old filmmaker.

Margot continued: "I think the whole situation is so disturbing and sad but I think the conversation surrounding it, hopefully, good comes out of it.

"The fact that the conversation is so prevalent and so many woman are so bravely coming forward, I think the culture has to change. It cannot be ignored anymore."

Cara, who identifies as bisexual, took to social media on Wednesday (10.11.17) to recall the moment Harvey – who has been accused of sexually harassing a number of female employees over a 30-year period – allegedly tried to force the star to kiss another woman in front of him, and reportedly told her if she didn’t go ahead with the act her career in the movie industry would "never" flourish.

In a lengthy post shared on Instagram, Cara wrote: "When I first started to work as an actress, i was working on a film and I received a call from Harvey Weinstein asking if I had slept with any of the women I was seen out with in the media. It was a very odd and uncomfortable call … i answered none of his questions and hurried off the phone but before I hung up, he said to me that If I was gay or decided to be with a woman especially in public that I’d never get the role of a straight woman or make it as an actress in Hollywood.

"A year or two later, I went to a meeting with him in the lobby of a hotel with a director about an upcoming film. The director left the meeting and Harvey asked me to stay and chat with him. As soon as we were alone he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature. He then invited me to his room. I quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasn’t and wouldn’t be for a bit and I should go to his room. (sic)"

While Margot has hailed Cara as a strong female, the ‘Paper Towns’ star has admitted the traumatic ordeal left her feeling "powerless and scared".

She continued: "At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn’t want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation.

"When I arrived I was relieved to find another woman in his room and thought immediately I was safe. He asked us to kiss and she began some sort of advances upon his direction. I swiftly got up and asked him if he knew that I could sing. And I began to sing….i thought it would make the situation better….more professional….like an audition….i was so nervous. After singing I said again that I had to leave. He walked me to the door and stood in front of it and tried to kiss me on the lips. I stopped him and managed to get out of the room. (sic)"

Margot Robbie feared she wasn’t sexy enough

Margot Robbie worries she wasn’t "sexy" enough for her role in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’.

The 27-year-old actress starred as blonde bombshell ‘Duchess’ Naomi opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2014 blockbuster and she was concerned that viewers wouldn’t think she wasn’t as attractive as the character was supposed to be.

She recalled: "When I was playing Naomi in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ it was so high-tempo sexy.

"I was acutely aware that the line in the screenplay was ‘the hottest blonde ever’, I’m clearly not the hottest blonde ever.

"I was just terrified that people would see the movie and think ‘eugh! She’s not that great.’ "

By contrast, Margot – who can currently be seen as Daphne Milne, the wife of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ author A.A. Milne in ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ – found her role as disgraced skater Tonya Harding in biopic ‘I, Tonya’ much more low-key.

She told Wonderland magazine: "The worse I looked the happier people were.

"Ironically Tonya wasn’t unattractive, she’s just been marred with that story. Like Daphne, Tonya, right or wrong, is human."

The ‘Suicide Squad’ star admitted it is very "frustrating" that people focus more on her looks than her work.

She said: "All the reading, all the acting coaching, and then someone reviews the movie or interviews you and all they do is focus on the aesthetics.

"You think, ‘f** k. You’ve totally discredited the work I did and it’s not fair!’ "

Margot – who is married to Tom Ackerley – shot to fame when she landed a role in Australian soap ‘Neighbours’ and she admitted that her life was much less glamorous than people thought at the time.

She said: "At 18, people would approach me and be all like, ‘You’re that chick from ‘Neighbours’, do you own six houses or something?’ In reality I was living in an absolute crack den of an apartment with a fridge and a mattress on the floor."

Margot Robbie loves her Winnie the Pooh toy

Margot Robbie had to take a role in ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ because she has loved Winnie the Pooh her entire life.

The 27-year-old Australian beauty portrays Daphne de Sélincourt, the wife of A. A Milne, in the movie about how the English author created stories about honey-loving bear Winnie from conversations with his son Christopher.

Margot has always loved the characters – which were further popularized by Disney’s cartoon adaptations of the books – and has her own Winnie the Pooh and Tigger at her mother’s house back in Oz.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the world premiere of ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ in London’s Leicester Square on Wednesday night (09.20.17), Margot said: "Yes, I have my own Winnie the Pooh toy and Tigger. They’re still back in Australia at my mum’s house. The ‘Winnie the Pooh’ stories are just beautiful.

"I’ve always loved the books, films and toys. It’s fantastic."

Out of all the different characters featured in the A. A Milne books, Margot admitted she probably thinks she is more like Kanga the kangaroo because she is Australian but her favorite is Piglet.

She said: "Who am I most like? I don’t know! Whoever I think I’m most like, someone else probably wouldn’t. I’ll say Kanga because I’m Australian but my favorite character is Piglet."

Margot stars alongside Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, who plays Milne, and the blonde beauty loved getting to grips with her alter ego because she was "complicated" and was more "realistic" of women she actually knows.

She said: "Daphne is a complicated person. I really enjoyed it though. It’s so much fun playing a complicated character than a simple one.

"She had so many strong views and it was just more realistic of women I know. We are complicated. When I think of all the women I know of in my life, they are all different and have different characteristics. It’s kind of fun to play these characters. As women we have contradicting opinions."

Margot Robbie ‘promised’ Cara Delevingne a trip to Las Vegas

Margot Robbie has "promised" to go on a "girl’s trip" with Cara Delevingne.

The 26-year-old actress struck up a great rapport with the 24-year-old model when they starred in the DC Comic antihero movie ‘Suicide Squad’, and the pair get on so well they have vowed to enjoy a fun getaway to Las Vegas this year.

Speaking about their plans to paint the town red, the Australian beauty – who married Tom Ackerley last year – told the Metro newspaper: "We promised each other that we would get away for a girls’ trip this year. It has to be Vegas, doesn’t it."

And the two blonde-haired beauties have promised to keep any antics a secret when they return home.

Margot added: "And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – which is probably a good thing when it comes to Cara."

Margot believes it was her destiny in life to meet the fashion icon, and she has admitted she "loves" the ‘PaperTowns’ actress because they have "fun" when they are together, although their busy work schedules can make it difficult for them to meet up as often as they would like.

She explained: "We have so much fun when we are together, even though we both have busy schedules."

Although the details of their vacation have yet to be confirmed, it could see the close pals check in to a hostel because Margot has admitted she loves staying in budget accommodation when she is travelling.

Speaking previously, she said: "I don’t know [if I can still stay in hostels anonymously], maybe not. But travelling is important to me and I love immersing myself in different cultures.

"The big advantage in staying in hostels is that you get to meet so many people. I like being able to connect to people – it really enriches my way of appreciating the world."
