Good News for Mark Wahlberg

FemaleFirst reported that the actor of Departed was thrilled to learn that his fiancée, model Rhea Durham, is expecting.
 
A sourced revealed, "Mark is thrilled to be having another baby. He is an amazing dad, and his two children are his world. He always used to joke about wanting at least a dozen kids, but it looks like he wasn’t joking after all."
 
The 36-year-old actor told his friends that Rhea will be giving birth to a boy in September.
 
Wahlberg and Durham are parents to a 4-year-old daughter, Ella Rae, and a 2-year-old son, Michael.

Mila Kunis Becomes a Killer

The star of the television series That ’70s Show will play a killer in the film adaptation of the video game Max Payne, reports Variety.

The actress, who is the voice of Meg Griffin in the popular animated series Famiy Guy, will play an assassin out to avenge her sister’s death.  Wahlberg will play Payne, a police officer haunted by the tragic loss of his family who finds himself in a conspiracy during the investigation.

John Moore (Flight of the Phoenix, Behind Enemy Lines) will direct the project written by Beau Thorne.

We can next see Kunis in the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall with Jason Segel and Kristen Bell.  Universal Pictures will release the film on April 18.

Leonardo DiCaprio Returns as a Pilot

The director, writer, producer and actor, Peter Berg is in the process of creating a movie on the life of internationally known drug dealer Jon Roberts.  The movie will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg.

DiCaprio will play Jon Roberts’ accomplice and pilot.  The drug dealer will be played by Mark Wahlberg.

This movie will reunite the two actors for a third time as they have already worked on the set of The Basketball Diaries and The Departed.

This year, Leonardo DiCaprio will be working for the second time with actress Kate Winslet (Titanic) in Sam Mendes’ Revolutionary Road.  Mark Wahlberg will star in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening out on June 13.

The film, which is the story of a crisis that threatens all of humanity, stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin and Ashlyn Sanchez.  The Happening was produced by 20th Century Fox, and opens in theatres on June 13.

Mark Wahlberg Plans Next Project

Paramount has hired Wahlberg and Peter Berg, who will direct the film.  The project was inspired by the life of Jon Roberts, which is depicted in the documentary Cocaine Cowboys.

After returning home from the Vietnam War with honours, Jon Roberts made his home in Miami and became involved in the trafficking of cocaine.  He eventually was sentenced to prison for 10 years when his accomplices turned on him.

Currently, Wahlberg, 36, is working on the film The Lovely Bones, directed by Peter Jackson.  He will also share the screen with Brad Pitt in the film The Fighter.

Peter Berg is in post-production on the comedy Hancock, which stars Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.  The film will be released on July 2.

Mark Wahlberg To Be Directed by Peter Jackson

Wahlberg, who starred in the films Boogie Nights, The Departed and Planet of the Apes, among others, will play the role of Jack Salmon in the new project.  Jackson called on the services of Wahlberg after Ryan Gosling quit the film due to creative differences with the direction of the film.

Wahlberg quickly agreed to join the film after reading the script over the weekend.  Filming of The Lovely Bones, which also stars Rachel Weisz, is set to begin today.

Adapted from the book by best-selling author, Alice Sebold, the film follows the story of Susie Salmon, who mysteriously disappears in 1973 at the age of 14.  After being killed violently, the young girl narrates the story, in which she watches over her grieving family and also the family of her killer, as he is brought to justice.

Brad Pitt in a New Drama

This Paramount Pictures movie is about an Irish boxer Mickey Ward and the hurdles he needed to overcome to become a lightweight champion.

Pitt will play Dicky Eklund, Ward’s half-brother, who was a talented boxer that beat Sugar Ray Leonard to win the title of champion.  Eklund gets involved in criminal activities and ends up in prison.  He then decides to change his life and help his half-brother train to become a boxer and a champion.

The screenplay was written by Scott Silver, and the movie was directed by Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain).

John Leguizamo To Star with Mark Wahlberg

The Happening is a thriller that will be directed by filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan for 20th Century Fox.

The film follows the story of a man and his family who are trying to escape a natural disaster and possibly the end of the world.  Zooey Deschanel will also star in the film.

The Happening is set to begin filming this month in Philadelphia, and should be in theatres on July 13, 2008.

Deschanel To Be Directed by Shyamalan

The Happening follows the story of a family who goes on the run when a natural crisis threatens to end all civilisation.  Filming is set to begin in August in Philadelphia.

Deschanel can next be heard in the animated film Surf’s Up, which opens on Juen 8.  She also stars in the film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford along with Brad Pitt.  She previously starred in the films Bridge to Terabithtia, Failure to Launch and Elf.
