Hayden Panettiere: Motherhood is an out-of-body experience

Hayden Panettiere says become a mother has been like an ”out-of-body experience”.

The ‘Nashville’ star gave birth to daughter Kaya – her first child with her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko – last December and since she welcomed her baby into the world she has re-prioritized her entire life.

Musing on motherhood in an interview with ‘Good Morning America’, Hayden, 25, said: ”It’s out of body … As long as your kids are happy and healthy and all good – it’s fabulous.”

She then added: ”You just re-prioritize … You hear that they’re healthy, and you just don’t care about yourself any more. It’s the most out-of-body experience, where you go, ‘I will completely lay myself on the line for my child. Without even a hesitation.’ ”

The arrival of Kaya has had a similar effect on world heavyweight champion boxer Wladimir.

The 39-year-old pugilist previously said: ”It has changed my life completely. I’m so happy to have Hayden in my life. She’s the best mom I could even imagine. She’s a true, amazing mom … I think [having] children is something that connects you until the end of your days no matter what. And I think that, Kaya, our daughter, has connected us forever. And that’s the most amazing thing. Everything else is coming, it’s something that needs to be planned … but the connection with the child is better than any marriage!”

Scarlett Johansson: Parenting should be personal

Scarlett Johansson hates actors making a big deal out of parenting.

The ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ star gave birth to her daughter Rose – her first child with French husband Romania Dauriac – last September and will admit her life has changed a lot since becoming a mother.

Unlike many of her Hollywood peers, Scarlett won’t be making any ”grandiose statements” about her experience of motherhood because she doesn’t think it’s appropriate.

In an interview with Australian website News.com.au, she said: ”I always really hate it when actors or people in the spotlight make giant grandiose statements about parenthood because it’s so, so personal.”

Touching on the changes Rose has had to her working schedule and her home life, Scarlett – who splits her time between her homes in Paris and New York City – added: ”I have a greater responsibility now so that will definitely affect my schedule. Before (Rose), I just made the choices that were affecting me but now I’m responsible for somebody else.

”Eventually I will have to work less and it might even make me more discerning.”

Although Scarlett believes there will come a time when she will have to work less because she’s a parent, at the moment the 30-year-old actress says her work has been inspired by seven-month-old Rose.

Scarlett – who returns as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in Marvel movie ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ – explained: ”I think it will hopefully enrich my work as well as my understanding of myself. That’s the hope anyway, you never know.”

Eddie Redmayne is living with his parents.

The ‘Theory of Everything’ actor previously shared a ”bachelor pad” with friends but after marrying long-term partner Hannah Bagshawe in December, the couple are currently based at his mum and dad’s house in Chelsea, west London, while they look for a home of their own.

A friend of the couple told The Sun newspaper: ”Eddie lived in a flat in South London with two of his oldest mates before he met Hannah.

”He likes being there and it was great when he was a bachelor, but I think he and Hannah now want to move somewhere they can both make a family home.

”Eddie’s a Chelsea boy at heart and they have stayed a few nights at his parents’ home recently.

”They are always on the King’s Road when in town.”

And insiders believe the decision to look for a bigger house of their own signals the couple’s desire to have children.

The source added: ”I think it shows they want to start a family soon.”

Eddie recently admitted he is enjoying being married and doesn’t miss his bachelor lifestyle.

The 33-year-old actor said: ”New marriage is pretty wonderful, pretty extraordinary. I’m very happy.”

The couple recently enjoyed a second honeymoon after cutting short their original post-wedding holiday so Eddie could attend the Golden Globe awards, where he picked up the Best Actor – Drama prize.

Speaking before the Oscars, where he also picked up Best Actor, and asked what he wanted to do after awards season is over, he said: ”Vacation, vacation, vacation. It’s a wondrous circus, but I think after I finish the next film, maybe a beach with some transparent water. I’ve never been on one of those holidays. I’d need to take a lot of sun cream, though.”

Eva Mendes’ new appreciation for motherhood

Eva Mendes has a new appreciation for motherhood.

The ‘Hitch’ actress – who has six-month-old Esmeralda with long-term partner Ryan Gosling – has confessed she feels more grateful for all the things her mother did for her now she is a parent herself.

She said: ”You never know, right, something random can happen and she’s just suddenly not sleeping through the night and you’re like, wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night, what’s up? Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?

”Now I understand so much, my mother’s never gotten more, ‘I love you so much mommy’ texts, I mean, randomly… I get it now.”

The 41-year-old star – who met Ryan, 34, while the pair filmed ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’ in 2011 – also shared her top tip for keeping the hunky actor happy and insists making an effort with her appearance is the key to their long-lasting relationship.

She told ‘Extra’: ”You can’t do sweatpants… ladies, number one cause of divorce in America, sweatpants, no!”

The brunette beauty also credits her vegetarian diet and regular exercise sessions for helping her to regain her pre-pregnancy figure.

She explained to Women’s Health magazine: ”I realized a long time ago that I needed to have some kind of routine. I don’t love it, but I’ve made peace with that.

”I haven’t eaten meat in about six years, because I don’t agree with factory farming here. This is just what worked for me, it’s important to say, but when I cut that out I immediately felt better. And also, after a year of eliminating it, my skin looked brighter and healthier overall.”

Is Beyoncé pregnant?

Beyoncé has fuelled speculation that she is pregnant.

The ‘Drunk In Love’ hitmaker – who already has three-year-old Blue Ivy with her husband, Jay Z – posted a photograph on Instagram where she is lying on a beach and covered with sand. The sand is shaped to display what appears to be a big baby bump.

It is not the first time the 33-year-old singer and her ‘Empire State of Mind’ hitmaker husband have been surrounded by baby rumours, after Jay Z reportedly changed some lyrics in ‘Beach is Better’ at a concert in Paris.

He is believed to have sung ”cause she’s pregnant with another one”, with a source adding that his behaviour has changed recently, much like it did when they were expecting their first child.

The insider said: ”For the last month, Jay has been fiercely protective of her, just like when she was expecting Blue Ivy.

”He’s been doing everything he can to ensure that Bey is in a stress-free bubble.”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé previously admitted that she ”would like more children,” adding that her little girl ”needs some company.”

She said: ”[Motherhood] gives you purpose. I realized why I was born and, more than anything, all of the things I want to pass onto my child and the best way of doing that is not by preaching or telling her but showing her by example.”

Cate Blanchett feels judged by other mothers

Cate Blanchett feels her parenting skills are being judged by other mothers.

The Oscar-winning actress has three children – Dashielle, 12, Roman, 10 and Ignatuis, six – and says she’s held to a different set of standards compared to the majority of parents.

Cate, who is married to theatre boss Andrew Upton, reflected: ”You know [the other mums] are observing how you parent. They don’t know how you cram everything in to make space for your kids like any working parent.”

The 45-year-old actress admits it’s stressful trying to juggle her Hollywood career with raising her children.

She told PORTER magazine: ”Playing the lead in a film where you shoot for three months away from home is not an easy thing for me when my children are in school and my husband is running a theatre company.

”They [the other mothers] assume you have a nanny and a driver and a chef.

”Who gives a s*** whether I do or not?

”The fact is I don’t, but you know there is a certain circle of people – and we all get insecure – who then ask, ‘Why can’t she brush her hair?’ You just have to shrug that off.”

Leighton Meester wants children with Adam Brody

Leighton Meester would like to have children with Adam Brody.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star – who married the 34-year-old actor earlier this year – has revealed she wants to follow in the footsteps of pregnant co-star Blake Lively.

She told Nylon magazine: ”Most people I know are starting to get married.

”It’ll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I’ve got dogs.”

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old – who starred as Blair Waldorf in ‘Gossip Girl’ – believes the drama series gave her a big break.

She said: ”I started the show when I was so young, and once it was over, I wanted to do things that were exciting and challenging and more me – more my adult taste.

”Of course, that’s said with nothing but gratitude and love for that experience in that time of my life.”

However, Leighton has revealed that she thinks it’s hard to find these more complex female roles.

She explained: ”As far as scripts go, the roles of women standing alone on their own as whole, real, full people are few and far between.

”So with both of those roles [‘Life Partners’ and ‘Like Sunday, Like Rain’ – her most recent parts], what I loved is that neither of them are centred around romantic relationships.

”They’re flawed, real human beings that I could bread down and really enjoy playing. They’re like me, in a way.”
