The 48-year-old actor pleaded guilty to all counts of drug possession at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court and was fined a total of £1,345. As well as crack cocaine, he was also in possession of amphetamines and various prescription drugs at the time of the incident.
The landlord of the pub where the actor was arrested had alerted the authorities after smelling fumes from the disabled toilet.
Anderson’s lawyer tried to suggest that Anderson, who had become very popular for his role as Arthur Shelby, had given in to the expectations of fans who had procured him drugs, and that on this particular occasion, his client should have been able to refuse.
