Oddly, the Pixel Watch charger can charge the Pixel Buds

For some reason, you can’t charge your Pixel Watch with your Pixel phone or a Qi charger, but according to 9to5Google, the Pixel Watch charger can be used to top up the Pixel Buds and Buds Pro.

9to5‘s Damien Wilde put his dead Pixel Buds on the magnetic Pixel Watch charger to see if it’d work. It did, but Wilde believed it was a fluke, so he tried it again and again, and each time it did, in fact, work.

What’s pretty nice about the situation is that the Pixel Watch charger will magnetically stick to the earbuds’ case. The shape of the buds case doesn’t exactly match the Pixel Watch charger, but it’s good enough.

Google Pixel Buds Pro are reportedly coming soon

Google’s Pixel Buds might get a successor in the near future.

According to leaker Jon Prosser, the Pixel Buds Pro are coming soon. The leaker says that the earbuds will launch in ‘Real Red,’ ‘Carbon,’ ‘Limoncello,’ and ‘Fog’ colours.

It’s possible that we might see the buds at Google I/O or sometime soon afterwards.

However, it’s worth noting that Prosser’s track record isn’t exactly the most sound. That said, he leaked the Pixel 6 series months before its official unveiling, so this latest rumour could be accurate.

Only time will tell, but until the official unveiling, it’s probably best to approach this rumour with an air of skepticism.

Google’s Pixel Buds A-Series are on sale at Best Buy for $119

Google’s Pixel Buds A-Series, the entry-level version of the tech giant’s wireless earbuds, are now on sale for $119 — down from their regular price of $139 ($20 off).

While not a sizable discount, this is the first A-Series Buds price cut I’ve seen. The price drop seems to be across the board, and includes retailers like Best Buy, Staples, the Google Store and more.

While I found that the Pixel Buds A-Series doesn’t sound quite as good as the more expensive Pixel Buds (2020), they’re still a cost-effective option if you’re looking for a new pair of wireless earbuds.

Even better, they don’t suffer from the intermittent Bluetooth connection issues that their more expensive counterpart do; in fact, you can’t even purchase Pixel Buds (2020) from Google anymore.
