Green Hornet Premiere Gets Delayed

According to Box Office Mojo, The Green Hornet will be delayed for six months, opening in theatres on December 17, 2010.

No reason was given for the change of date, however, since filming will not begin this fall, the delay may be due to the film requiring more time for postproduction.  Also, the delay might result from producers not wanting to compete with the Robert Rodriguez film, Predators, opening on July 7, 2010.

Furthermore, Sony had expected to release The Smurfs in 3D on December 17, 2010, but that may also be moved because Warner Bros. has Yogi Bear scheduled for release then.

Seth Rogen, who plays the lead role in The Green Hornet, revealed that the change of the release date will allow them to complete the film and properly promote it.  They may also present the film at next year’s Comic-Con.

In the meantime, Rogen will be the voice of an alien character in an upcoming Greg Mottola film.  He will also be starring in a yet-untitled film with James McAvoy that follows a 25-year-old man with cancer.

It’s a matter of he said/she said.  Lohan told Nylon magazine that she was anxiously awaiting a call back from Seth Rogen about a part in his next film.  However, Rogen told Moviefone that he never spoke to the starlet about doing a movie together.

"That is not … That’s the first I had heard of that. And my assistant hadn’t heard it either. I can tell you that she hasn’t called me. If she has, I haven’t heard about it. [But] I would call her back, sure! I’d return a call," explained the Superbad star.

In the meantime, the Canadian actor provides the voice to a monster in the animated film Monsters vs. Aliens, opening Friday (March 27).

Seth Rogen Getting Fit

Seth Rogen has recently lost weight, and wants to buff up to play a hero in The Green Hornet and be able to film at high altitudes.

While filming Observe and Report in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the actor revealed that he was not in the greatest shape. He found that shooting some of the action scenes felt like climbing Mt. Everest.

"I’m somebody who can barely breathe in Los Angeles, which is at sea level. I can’t walk up a flight of stairs. Albuquerque is at an elevation of about two miles and the air is very thin," Rogen admitted.

He added, "I realised if I was going to make Green Hornet I needed to lose weight. Aside from how the character is supposed to look, I couldn’t physically make the movie in the shape I was in. It would have literally killed me."

Apparently, she was in talks with actor Sean Penn for a project. LiLo said, "I’m talking to a lot of people right now. One is Sean Penn – I spoke to him again the other day. We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!"

In addition, the star has no intentions of dishing out her private life on her blog. She let herself get carried away in the past, but now thinks it was unnecessary.
