Jennifer Lopez lets Casper Smart keep gifts

Jennifer Lopez has told Casper Smart to keep all the gifts she bought him.

The ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker recently split from the 27-year-old dancer after two-and-a-half years of dating and the ”generous” singer – who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony – wanted him to have some lasting mementos from their relationship.

A source said: ”He gets to keep all the gifts that Jennifer bought him, including the customized truck that she gave him for his 25th birthday.

”Jennifer has always been very generous and Casper has bags of things to move out.”

Over the weekend, Casper was seen moving his belongings out of the 44-year-old star’s home and is said to be devastated about the split.

A source told People magazine: ”He is upset about the split. He really wanted to stay with Jennifer. He loves her and her kids.”

It was recently claimed the ‘American Idol’ judge is determined to stay friends with the choreographer as her kids have developed a bond with him.

The source explained: ”She will definitely still keep things civil and actually still loves him. The hard part is the kids love him too. He has become a part of her family.

”It’s not going to be one of those breakups where you never see them together again.”

Meanwhile, in recent weeks, Casper has been accused of cheating on the star with transsexual bikini model Sofie Vissa, whom he met and exchanged sexual messages with online first.

However, Casper has denied the allegations and subsequent claims involving a second transgender model.

The Mazda2 to Hit LA

A global success since it was revamped in 2007, the little Mazda has won the "Car of the Year" prize in over 20 countries. It was also crowned the "2008 World Car of the Year."

From small city cars to big SUVs, the Mazda range will be expanding in response to market demands.

In order for history not to repeat itself, North America has begun to make significant changes over the years, and the financial crisis of 2008 has only accelerated the process. Thus the physically-attractive and technically-appealing Mazda2 is bound to make a splash when it is introduced to the American and Canadian market in late 2010.

The specifications for the car will not be unveiled until December 2 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Mercedes to Import Smaller Models

After the little city slicker, the Smart, debuted last year, Mercedes-Benz is considering introducing the A Class and B Class to the American market.

The news broke in a Wall Street Journal interview with Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche.

The small range would compete with Europe’s compact BMW 1 Series and the Audi A3. The launch could possibly coincide with the 2011 arrival of the new A Class and B Class in Europe.

However, with the quickly forgotten financial crisis, bad habits may very well resurface. We now know that the "Cash for Clunkers" programme in the United States enables buyers to replace their big SUVs with other big SUVs. Meanwhile, Smart car sales took a nose dive in October, with a 70% decrease in comparison to the same quarter in 2008.

Nonetheless, the A Class and B Class tread on different waters, as they are more spacious vehicles carrying the badge of an established brand.

Only time will tell if America is up to the challenge of switching to compact cars.

Start Your Car with Your iPhone

Since October 13, Best Buy stores began selling the Viper SmartStart remote starter kit for $499, while previous Viper owners are able to upgrade for $299.

It requires downloading an application at the online iTunes store to control your car through your cell phone, including control of the door locks and the "panic" button feature.

Of course, the most important feature is the remote start feature, to preheat the car and defrost the windows in the winter, or to activate the air conditioner and avoid baking in the oven in the summer.

The advantage of this classic system is that it functions from virtually any distance. For example, a car parked in Vancouver could be started from Montreal, provided that the vehicle and iPhone gains access to a network.

Not very eco-friendly but certainly practical, Apple has given us yet another useful iPhone App.
