Mel B to set the record straight in autobiography

Mel B will "set the record straight" with a new autobiography.

The Spice Girl – who was involved in a very public court case with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte – is set to pen a book titled ‘Brutally Honest’ after "keeping silent for a decade".

She said: "I have kept silent for a decade, but after a very public court case, I want to set the record straight … This book will show that abuse can happen to anyone. It is important that my three girls, who I raise as a single mother, know how to break the chain of abuse – along with any other woman who reads this book."

Last year, it was revealed Mel B has been "approached" for a memoir.

A source said at the time: "She has been making notes and has been approached about a memoir. The last year’s volume of controversy and scandal is enough for most autobiographies. Mel doesn’t want to hold back."

Meanwhile, Mel recently revealed her father Martin’s death gave her the "clarity and strength" to get her life "on the right track".

In an emotional post on Instagram, she wrote: "The pain of loosing my daddy is beyond anyone could ever understand, but in the mist of all my raw emotions and pain of his passing he gave me the clarity and strength to set my life on the right track. And I’m sooo thankful of this awakening from march 4th when he died I now live in my truth to correct with no shame the life every girl/daddy’s girl should live, and that’s a life with no fear or disrespect. But a life with ONLY love and respect and honesty.

"Dad I love you but I would give anything just to talk you one last time just so you know how much I truly love you and for you to know I’m now living THAT life and no matter what anyone says or anyone does I will ALWAYS and forever only live this way. So I hope you forgive me for my mistakes and trust in me that my eyes are now wide open and I want to do you proud from here on.(sic)"

Mel B’s daughter excited for Spice Girls reunion

Mel B’s daughter is "really excited" about the Spice Girls reunion.

The 42-year-old star recently reconnected with Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Victoria Beckham to work on unspecified new projects and though they haven’t announced their plans yet, 19-year-old Phoenix – Mel’s eldest child, who she has with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar – knows whatever they do will be "fun".

She said: "I’m really excited, it’s going to be fun. I’m excited for anything that’s going to happen."

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge was joined at the Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles by all her children, Phoenix, 10-year-old Angel – whose father is Eddie Murphy, and six-year-old Madison, who she has with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, and the producer’s daughter Giselle Belafonte, 14.

And the youngsters had nothing but nice things to say about the ‘Mama’ singer, with Giselle describing her as the "funniest person" she knows, and Phoenix simply saying her mom is "cool".

Madison said: "She’s beautiful! And nice."

Angel added: "She’s always there for you if you have a problem."

Meanwhile, Mel confirmed the Spice Girls are "all back together", but stayed tight-lipped on reports they are working on an animated superhero film about girl power.

She teased to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "I don’t want to confirm that, but there’s a lot going on."

And though she recently hinted she and her bandmates are to perform at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in May, she refused to be drawn on the subject.

Asked if she’s going to the celebration, she said: "I can’t answer that."

She then swiftly changed the subject when asked if she’d seen the news invitations had been sent out.

While Mel recently hinted the group will be performing at the wedding, her bandmate Mel C later insisted her friend had just been joking.

Ellie Goulding to attend Prince Harry’s wedding

Ellie Goulding will attend Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle.

The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ hitmaker – who sang at the reception of the prince’s brother, Prince William to Duchess Catherine in 2010 – will reportedly be in attendance at her old friend’s nuptials at Windsor Castle in May, and will be accompanied by her boyfriend Caspar Jopling, 26.

The 31-year-old singer was rumored to have shared a kiss with Harry after a polo match in June 2016, and she’ll join two of his other former lovers, Chelsy Davy, 32, and Cressida Bonas, 29, in receiving an invitation to his big day.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ellie has stayed good pals with Harry and is obviously really excited.

"She has no plans to perform this time but just wants to celebrate her friend’s marriage.

"Princess Eugenie’s also a close friend, so she’ll fit right in."

Other celebrity guests expected to be at the funeral include Sir Elton John, who famously sang at the funeral of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, and the Spice Girls.

Mel B recently claimed the reunited girl band will be performing at the wedding.

She said: "I’m going. I don’t know if I should’ve said that. Us five Spice Girls did [get an invitation]. Why am I so honest?"

Mel wouldn’t divulge what the invitations to the big day looked like as she felt that was "too personal", but talk quickly moved on to whether or not the band would be performing at the reception after Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have officially tied the knot.

The star didn’t verbally confirm the news, but once the question was asked she threw her cue cards into the air, which prompted the show’s hosts to cheer.

Mel then added: "I swear I’m just … I need to go, I’m going to be fired. I’m gonna be fired."

However, her bandmate Mel C, later insisted her pal was joking.

She said: "I’ve met [Harry’s dad] Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers. I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke. There are no plans to go to the wedding at the moment."

Mel B vows to spice up Spice Girls dance routines

Mel B has vowed to spice up the Spice Girls old dance routines should the girls go on tour.

The 42-year-old star – known as Scary Spice in the 90s girl group – was in charge of most of the choreography for her bandmates, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner back in their heyday and she says they’ll have no problem learning the iconic moves again.

Mel is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I mean, I choreographed them, or most of the Spice Girls moves, and they were very basic. It should not be hard to do some of the routines."

All five of the ‘Viva Forever’ hitmakers sparked excitement amongst fans when all five members got together at Geri’s house in north London at the start of February to talk about working together in the future, and Mel says it was just like the old days.

She said: "Well, we are friends at the end of the day. We have tea and hang out and we talk about stuff. We are all parents now, and for us five to be able to say that we can sell out arenas and concerts, that is a good feeling. We are still exactly the same."

Despite Mel B talking about potentially jazzing up their old routines, Mel C recently admitted they are yet to start "talking about new music or going out on the road together"..

Fans hoping for an imminent announcement about reunion tour dates will have to wait a bit longer as Sporty Spice insists discussions haven’t got that far.

The ‘When You’re Gone’ recently said: "It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time."

James Corden wants Spice Girls on Carpool Karaoke

James Corden wants the Spice Girls on ‘Carpool Karaoke’.

The 39-year-old star appeared on Heart Breakfast with Emma Bunton – who was known as Baby Spice in the band – on Thursday morning (15.03.18) and used the opportunity to give her a nudge with regards to getting the ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmakers on his popular musical segment on his ‘Late Late Show’.

When presenter Jamie Theakston asked: "Could we get the Spice Girls in the back of the car? I mean, that’s the elephant in the room, right?", James replied: "Well, here’s the truth of it…

Emma said: "Oh, what’s that?

Corden continued: "I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want …

I wanna go in that car and remind the world – the entire planet – of how unbelievable those songs are."

A flattered Emma said: "Awww!"

Corden said: "And, I mean it would break the internet, wouldn’t it? It really would."

Emma agreed, saying: "It would be special"

Jamie then asked: "So it’s fair to say the offer, the invitation has been made?"

Prompting Corden to reply: "Oh, it’s open! It’s an open door!"

Emma was keen with the idea and asked her fellow bandmates, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Geri Horner, to get on board.

She said: "Aww, it’s open, thanks James. Right, girls! Come on!"

However, James reminded Emma that it wasn’t the first time he’s asked their manager, Simon Fuller, to persuade them to come on his show.

He said: "This is not the first time that this has come up! There’s been endless phone calls that have already been made."

Emma, 42, admitted: "There’s been a few!"

All five of the Spice Girls reunited last month for lunch at Geri’s house in north London, sending fans into overdrive that they are making a comeback, and James says he got on the phone to Simon straight away after seeing a picture of their meeting on social media.

He said: "I think I got in touch with Simon Fuller about four and a half minutes after that Instagram photo."

However, Emma recently downplayed rumours they are going to go on tour, saying they were simply "catching up".

The likes of Will Smith, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran have all sat in James’ Range Rover for a sing-a-long, but James recently admitted to BANG Showbiz that his ultimate guest would be Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, saying: "He would be amazing."

Mel B accused of covering addiction with abuse claims

Mel B’s ex-husband claims she is a drug addict and an alcoholic.

The Spice Girls singer has been accused of covering up bruises and other injuries caused by her problems by claiming she was a victim of domestic violence, her former spouse Stephen Belafonte has alleged in new legal documents.

The TV producer has made a bid to obtain visitation rights to his 10-year-old stepdaughter Angel – whose biological father is Eddie Murphy but who he has helped raise since she was a baby – and claimed Mel has lied about domestic violence in a bid to turn the youngster against him.

In the legal documents, which were obtained by TMZ, he referred to a 2014 incident in London, where Mel claimed she was hospitalised after he smashed her head into a door.

But the 42-year-old producer – who has six-year-old daughter Madison with Mel – insisted that the ‘Stop’ singer overdosed on drugs and sustained bruises from an EKG machine and I.V. drip during her stay in hospital, but falsely claimed the marks were a result of abuse.

He also claimed the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge – who is also mother to Phoenix, 19, from her first marriage to Jimmy Gulzar – frequently walks into walls because she is so addicted to drugs and alcohol, and is often so intoxicated, she tries to pull down her pants and urinate on the couch, even in front of her children.

According to the documents, Stephen sent Mel’s therapist text messages to plead with him to stop giving her medication as he feared she would overdose and die like Michael Jackson.

The 42-year-old singer has previously claimed Stephen forced her into having threesomes, but he insists that is a lie and he has videos where she initiated and recorded the raunchy sessions.

According to Stephen, Mel looked into the camera and said, "That’s hot!" and "I like it."

The British singer has claimed her former spouse – who she split from a year ago – showed the children appalling videos featuring terrorist beheadings, but he insisted that is a blatant lie and he has never even searched for such footage.

Spice Girls manager hints Victoria Beckham won’t join reunion shows

Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller has hinted Victoria Beckham may not join their reunion shows.

The 57-year-old music mogul has dropped the biggest hint yet that the 43-year-old fashion designer might not be alongside Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C for their comeback concerts.

When asked by TMZ if Victoria has "signed off" for a tour, he replied: "It may be four, not five."

Simon also admitted he is "not sure" whether the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers will perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, despite Mel B appearing to confirm they will be earlier this week.

He said: "I don’t know about that, I’m not sure about that one. I’m not sure that will happen.

"Maybe she knows something I don’t."

Mel confirmed she will be attending the royal wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on May 19, and revealed her fellow singers will also be alongside her at the star-studded event.

She said: "I’m going. I don’t know if I should’ve said that.

"Us five Spice Girls did [get an invitation]. Why am I so honest?"

It comes after the quintet were said to have put pen to paper on contracts for a number of reunion shows after confirming they were back together to work on unspecified projects.

Mel B is said to have signed the contract last month, and documents are said to show specific details for UK and US concerts, including the number and location of shows, and compensation details.

Sources recently claimed the ‘2 Become 1’ hitmakers will perform a "limited number" of shows, but will make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.

But Victoria has recently insisted she will not tour with the group.

She said: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour. It was so great to see the girls…

"There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

Spice Girls want to sing the Bond theme tune

The Spice Girls are reportedly desperate to sing the next James Bond theme song.

The iconic British girl group have recently agreed to reunite ahead of a potentially lucrative tour, but their ultimate ambition is to perform the theme tune to the next 007 movie, which will see Daniel Craig reprise the role of the British secret agent.

A source said: "It’s crazy that the biggest British girl group of all time hasn’t sung the theme song to the biggest British spy franchise ever."

Fellow Brits Adele and Sam Smith have both won Academy Awards for their Bond tracks ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, respectively.

And while they’ve both held discussions about penning the single for the upcoming movie, the girl group – which features Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell – are considered to be the favourites.

The insider told the National Enquirer magazine: "Adele and Sam Smith are in talks about returning, but the Spice Girls look like they’ve got this one in the bag."

The speculation comes shortly after it was revealed that the bandmates had signed contracts for a number of reunion shows.

Previously, the quintet confirmed they were back together to work on unspecified projects, and though Victoria insisted they are not going out on tour, the girls have apparently signed legal documents to perform live again.

The documents give specific details for UK and US concerts, including the number and location of shows, and compensation details.

Sources said that the ‘Stop’ hitmakers will perform a "limited number" of shows during the proposed tour – but it was added that the band are set to make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.

Emma Bunton hosts own BRITs for kids

Emma Bunton hosted her own BRIT Awards ceremony at home for her children.

The Spice Girls star has sons Beau, 10, and Tate, six, with her fiancé Jade Jones and the boys were both disappointed that they couldn’t accompany their mother to the music prize-giving ceremony at The O2 in London on Wednesday night (21.02.18).

So quick-thinking Emma, 42, hosted her own show the night before with her kids both being presented with awards.

The five-time BRIT winner spilled: "We had orange juice, they did a little performance, and they won best male and best group."

‘Say You’ll Be There’ Emma made the most of her night out without her children as after she watched the star-studded ceremony, which featured performances by Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Justin Timberlake, Stormzy and more, she headed to the exclusive Warner Music Group with Ciroc and GQ magazine BRIT Awards 2018 After-Party at Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden.

The bash was attended by a host of stars, including Liam Gallagher, Rita Ora, Jess Glynne, Anne-Marie, Hailey Baldwin and BRITs host Jack Whitehall, and featured DJ sets by Pete Tong and Idris Elba.

Spice Girls sign tour contracts

The Spice Girls have signed contracts for a number of reunion shows.

The quintet recently confirmed they were back together to work on unspecified projects, and though Victoria Beckham has insisted they are not going out on tour, it has now been revealed they have agreed legal documents to perform live again.

According to TMZ, Mel B signed the contract last Friday (09.02.18), and other members have too, and the documents give specific details for UK and US concerts, including the number and location of shows, and compensation details.

Sources told the website the ‘Stop’ hitmakers – which also include Geri Horner, Mel C and Emma Bunton – will perform a "limited number" of shows but are set to make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.

Victoria, 43, played down the rumours surrounding the Spice Girls’ recent get together at her fashion show in New York, when she said: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour. It was so great to see the girls…

"There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

The ‘Spice Up Your Life’ singers are all busy working mothers and so a full reunion tour would be impossible to commit to. But promoters are reportedly offering the girls millions to perform just a few shows together.

Other ideas thought to be in the pipeline following their reunion lunch at Geri’s London home – their first meeting in six years – include a global TV talent show to find a new girlband, and the possibility of a Spice Girls record label to encourage new musicians who can carry on the Girl Power legacy.

They are also thought to be considering a children’s Spice TV show, possibly featuring their own kids. bvcx
