Spider-Man 3 Gets Touch Up

The third installment of the film series is not yet ready, according to test audiences.  Now, actors Tobey McGuire, James Franco and Kirsten Dunst will need to re-shoot scenes.

When asked about his future projects by MTV, James Franco responded by saying, "The next thing I’m shooting? Re-shoots on Spider-Man… Probably next month. Director Sam Raimi wants more action."

Spider-Man 3 will be in American theatres on May 4, 2007.  In the film, Spider-Man will battle Sandman, the Green Goblin and Venom.

Marvel to Launch New Movies

The multi-national company is investing $525 million into the new project.

Plans are underway to make films for the Hulk, Spider-Man and the X-Men.  The president of Marvel, Avi Arad, announced Tuesday that they plan to make ten films.  The first movies may be Captain America or Nick Fury and the Avengers.  The films are scheduled to open in 2008.

A New Villain for Spider-Man

The 43 year-old actor, nominated at the recent Oscars ceremony for his role in Sideways, will combat Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) in the third web-slinging film, due out in May, 2007.

Haden Church joins British actor Alfred Molina, as Dr. Octopus, and Willem Dafoe, as the Green Goblin.
