Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield over for good

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are ”finished”.

The couple were reported to have taken a break from their three-year relationship earlier this month but insiders insist the ‘Birdman’ actress has called time on the romance for good.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: ”[Emma] ended things and moved back to LA. It’s finished. It’s not just a break.”

One reason for the couple’s split is said to be the 31-year-old actor’s dedication to his role as a 17th century Jesuit in ‘Silence’, for which he has lost 40lbs and began shooting in Taiwan in January.

Another source said: ”He’d been in a dark place for months, getting into his role. He wasn’t being the best partner.”

While the 26-year-old actress is said to understand Andrew’s ”work anxieties”, it was previously revealed the pair’s dedication to their respective careers was partly responsible for the problems in their relationship.

A source said recently: ”Emma understands his work anxieties – it’s why she originally pulled out of ‘Cabaret’ last year and only did it this year – but they’re taking a break from seeing each other.

”They’re both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage.”

Emma Stone’s fascination with death

Emma Stone has a fascination with death.

The 26-year-old actress admits she’s always wondered what happens after you’ve passed away and believes her morbid curiosity stems from her childhood and upbringing.

Speaking in Australia’s Cleo magazine, the strawberry blonde beauty said: ”I was always conscious that life is finite and was interested in really gloomy things like death, ghosts and cemeteries.”

However, the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ star insists her dark thoughts on death have encouraged her to grab every opportunity with both hands because she’s conscious nothing lasts forever.

She explained: ”I was just a really crazy child. But there’s also something positive about this attitude: when you are constantly aware that you will die one day, you appreciate life all the more and really live it to the fullest.

”I always try to act according to my belief, and my parents see things the same way. They supported me in my acting plans precisely because they believe you have to use your time well. That’s also why my mother moved to Los Angeles with me when I was 15.”

Emma went on to talk about her disorganized characteristic and how she’s never felt 100 per cent confident about herself.

She said: ”I’m totally the chaotic type and I’m often completely all over the place … There are phases when I feel relatively confident, although my self-doubt never seems to disappear completely.”
