Street Fighter: Duel launches on Android and iOS

Crunchyroll Games has launched Street Fighter: Duel, a new mobile RPG, in Canada, the U.S. and a handful of other countries.

The first mobile RPG based on Capcom’s beloved fighting game franchise, Street Fighter: Duel is a party-based title that has characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Ken, Guile and Akuma fighting automatically as you tap buttons for combos.

Altogether, more than 40 characters are included, and you can unlock variants for each of them, like ‘Mad Ryu’ and ‘Beast Zangief’ with their own unique abilities. A variety of limited-time challenges will also be offered at launch.

The game is free to download (with microtransactions for in-games currencies, of course) on Android and iOS.

A Long List of Actors in Street Fighter

According to Variety, in addition to these two actors, Chris Klein (American Pie), and Rick Yunes (Die Another Day), will also be part of the cast for the movie Street Fighter, based on a Japanese video game.

Kreuk will play a martial artist, Chun Li, while Duncan plays Balrog, Klein will play Nash and Yune will have the part of Glen.

Moon Bloodgood, Taboo, from the Black Eyed Peas, Singapore’s Edmund Chen and Hong Kong’s Cheng Pei Pei, will also be part of this movie.  The role of the villain, Bison, has not been filled.

Street Fighter will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die), and shot in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver.  The screenplay will be written by Justin Marks, who has revealed very little information about the movie.

A Director for Street Fighter

This action movie based on the Capcom video game presents the quest for justice with a fighter named Chun Li.

Bartkowiak has directed many movies such as:  Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle to the Grave and Doom. Before becoming a director he also worked on other movies such as, Lethal Weapon 4, U.S. Marshals, Falling Down and Speed.

Production for this movie will begin at the beginning of next year.
