Taylor Swift to be godmother to Jaime King’s baby

Taylor Swift is to be godmother to Jaime King’s baby.

The 25-year-old singer took to her Instagram account to reveal her actress friend has asked her to be godmother to her and husband Kyle Newman’s impending child, and the ‘Style’ hitmaker was more than happy to accept the offer.

Announcing the news, Taylor posted a picture of herself knelt down with her hands placed on Jaime’s baby bump, while the ‘Hart of Dixie’ star is stood up with a huge grin on her face.

She captioned the image: ”Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one….. (ME) (sic)”

The 35-year-old actress also shared an image on the social networking site of her stood up facing the camera and pulling up her top to reveal her baby bump, while Taylor has her head on Jaime’s shoulder looking down at her unborn child.

Jaime – who also has 16-month-old son James with Kyle – wrote: ”And @taylorswift will forever be looking over our new baby @kyle_newman -we all love you!!!! Xx (sic)”

The actress also used Instagram to announce she and Kyle were expecting their second together earlier this month by posting a photograph of James blowing bubbles while holding a sign which read: ”I’m gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now I’m so excited!!!! (sic)..”

Taylor recently revealed her and Jaime – who married Kyle in November 2007 after meeting on the set of movie ‘Fanboys’ in 2005 – love to get a Chinese takeaway when they are hanging out together.

She said: ”Jaime King and I will sit around and talk and cook or just order in Chinese food.

”My group of friends are the most important thing to me right now. they are so fun and know me and like me for who I actually am.”

Taylor Swift is to be Maid of Honour for her best friend.

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker has agreed to be by the side of her pal Britany Maack when she marries her fiance after receiving a touching note from her ”sister”.

The note sent by Britany read: ”Taylor, You are more than a friend, you are more than a best friend. You are my sister. I cannot imagine having any one else by my side on my wedding day… Will you be my maid of honor?”

Taylor, 25, posted the note on her Instagram page, alongside a photograph as the two pals when they were children and wrote: ”YEAH I WILL. @britmaack.”

As well as Britany, Taylor has a number of other close friends and Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss recently revealed she had previously banned the ‘Out of the Woods’ hitmaker from moving to London and instead convinced her to move to New York City.

She said: ”She travels a lot. She almost moved to London and I said, ‘Nope, not happening.’ She now lives in New York.”

The pair are so close that Karlie even has her own room at Taylor’s apartment in Tribeca, and thinks the blonde beauty is great at decorating.

She said: ”She’s really good at decorating her house. Her house is really great.”

Katy Perry thinks Taylor Swift is playing a character

Katy Perry thinks Taylor Swift is the music industry’s ”sweetheart.”

The ‘Dark Horse’ hitmaker, who is rumored to be embroiled in a bitter feud with the 24-year-old singer, says being famous is like being on a soap opera and hinted she doesn’t think the ‘Black Space’ singer is perfect in real life.

She said: ”You’ve got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone’s the mom [and] the dad type – you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we’re all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor’s the sweetheart. Kanye [West]’s the villain. That’s the narrative.”

The duo reportedly fell out last year when Taylor revealed one of her tracks ‘Bad Blood’ was written about another famous singer, calling her a ”straight-up enemy.”

While she didn’t name Katy, the ‘Roar’ hitmaker fueled rumors the comments were about her when she tweeted the next day: ”Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing,” referencing a character from the film ‘Mean Girls’.

Asked about the tension between them recently, Katy would only say: ”If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old star admits being a pop star is a lot harder than she dreamed it would be and she isn’t surprised Britney Spears shaved her head during her breakdown in 2007.

She told the March issue of Elle magazine: ”It is a hundred times harder a dream than the dream that I dreamt when I was nine. You think you signed up for one thing, but you automatically sign up for a hundred others. And that is why you see people shaving their f**king heads.”

Taylor Swift’s ‘mini meltdown’ over Jake Gyllenhaal

Taylor Swift had a ”mini meltdown” when she bumped into Jake Gyllenhaal.

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker and her ex-boyfriend – who briefly dated for two months in 2011 – attended the same Golden Globes after party, where he was spotted dancing with many women.

An eyewitness shared: ”[Taylor] wasn’t dancing. But I saw her grab her friend’s hand and repeat, ‘We have to go. We have to go.’

”The four girls [Cara Delevingne, Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora] were together and Taylor was having a mini meltdown. Cara’s arm was around Taylor, calming her down as Rita looked on. They were talking extremely closely.”

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old singer – who has also dated the likes of Harry Styles, Joe Jonas and John Mayer – recently admitted that she would have to meet an ”astonishing” man to consider dating again because the mere thought gives her a ”partial panic attack”.

She said: ”I’m not going to compromise the happiness and independence that I’ve found for just anybody. The idea of a date gives me a partial panic attack!

”It would take an astonishing human for me to even consider getting back into a relationship. It would take something really, really, really, really different – a kind of a one-in-a-million person for me to face all that.

”I don’t have any kind of idea who I’d want to be with, because I don’t have any pieces missing from my life right now. I’m not looking for anything to complete. I think that’s a nice place to be.”

Katy Perry plans to take aim at Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl with her new song ‘She’s So Creepy’.

The 30-year-old star intends to debut the song during her eagerly-awaited half-time show and is thought to be a retaliation to Taylor’s ‘Bad Blood’, which appears on her album ‘1989’ and exposes the details of their feud, according to The Sun newspaper.

Taylor has never admitted her song is about Katy, but she’s said of the unidentified rival: ”We’re straight up enemies. And it wasn’t even about a guy!

”It had to do with business. She tried to hire a bunch of people out under me.”

Shortly after those remarks, Katy took to Twitter, referencing the Lindsay Lohan film ‘Mean Girls’ and writing: ”Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

Although Taylor insists their row is not over a man, the pair have both dated musician John Mayer, 37, in the past.

And over the weekend, Katy and John were spotted enjoying a dinner date at a friend’s house, after which he is said to have spent the night at Katy’s home.

The news has prompted speculation they have rekindled their romance.

Abigail Breslin calls Taylor Swift ‘unstable’

Abigail Breslin has called Taylor Swift an ”unstable cat lady”.

The ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ actress appeared to criticise the pop star, as she tweeted a variation of the lyrics to Taylor’s hit song ‘Blank Space’.

In a perceived dig, the 18-year-old star wrote: ”Cuz darling I’m a nightmare dressed like an emotionally unstable cat lady. (sic)”

While Taylor’s original line reads: ”’Cause darling I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream.”

It’s not the first time Abigail has started a feud with another celebrity.

In November, the blonde penned the scathing song ‘You Suck’ which seemed aimed at her ex-boyfriend, 5 Seconds of Summer rocker Michael Clifford, 19.

The video – which is posted on her official YouTube channel – includes the lyrics: ”I hate your dumb tattoos/I wish you’d fly to the moon, where there are no girls to use or screw over.”

She later told Teen Vogue magazine: ”This is a song I wrote about those guys who are players and use people and just generally aren’t really good people.

”It’s about things I’ve witnessed – it’s not OK when guys don’t have respect for girls. I wrote it in the heat of the moment, and I think a lot of people will relate to it.”

Taylor Swift doesn’t have any plans for her 25th birthday.

The ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker – who will be celebrating on December 13th – has admitted that she’s been so busy promoting her album, ‘1989’, that she hasn’t had time to think about what to do.

Speaking on ‘Live With Kelly and Michael’, she said: ”It’s kind of weird, like, when you’re so excited about something, like, I was so geared up for the album launch and so excited about it. It was two years in the making.

”So, in my mind, I was like, ‘Birthdays happen every year, like, album launches only happen every few years,’ so I went and did that and I’m still on this promotion tour. And so, it’s so far back on my list of priorities that I’m turning 25.”

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old singer recently admitted that her goal for ‘1989’ was for it to reflect her life more.

She explained previously: ”That was a huge goal for this album, [which] was to make songs that were instantly catchy. [And] also have meaning behind them.

”But I really wanted these songs to really kind of bounce out of the speakers … For my own albums, it’s all autobiographical because I think it’s much more interesting for me to tell a true story than a story I kind of conjured up.”
