Selena Gomez urged to lock doors by cops

Selena Gomez has reportedly been urged to lock her doors by police.

The reminder comes following an incident last week where the ‘Come And Get It’ hitmaker allegedly called the police after she thought there was an intruder in her house.

Law enforcement sources revealed to gossip site TMZ that she raised the alarm after she returned home to find a door unlocked.

The police arrived quickly but found nobody inside.

This is reportedly the third time Selena has contacted the police over fears that her house had been broken into and for it to be a false alarm.

The 22-year-old had gates put up around the house earlier this year after a stalker allegedly showed up at her $3 million property.

Meanwhile, despite the false intruder alarms, Selena loves living alone because she can walk around the house naked.

She recently said: ”I can, you know, walk around naked and stuff.

”I think that the best thing is being able to go into my own space and have it just be mine.”

However, Selena’s celebrity pal, Taylor Swift, has been asking her to leave Los Angeles and move closer to the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker, who lives in New York City.

Selena explained: ”[Taylor’s] been begging me every time we get on the phone to move to New York, because it’s been a really good thing for her.

”You know, we’ve been friends for seven years, and she really feels like she kind of stepped into her own and became a woman there, and she’s like, ‘All right, your turn!’

”I feel like I might [move to New York], eventually, but not right now.”

Taylor Swift hosted a pizza party for fans at her apartment on Monday (08.18.14).

The 24-year-old singer delighted those at her livestream at the Empire State Building – during which she announced her forthcoming album ‘1989’ – by inviting them to her New York City apartment, where she ordered in food and hosted a dance party, before giving them T-shirts with ‘Shake it Off’, the name of her new single, written on them.

The lucky fans also got to pose for pictures with their idols multiple awards.

One attendee tweeted: ”Taylor never acted like she had 90 random strangers in her apartment. She treated us each like her best friends, I love her so much.

”She trusted us in her apartment to wander around wherever we wanted and to hold her awards and her cats. That’s true love.”

And another wrote: ”You hold a Grammy so naturally”- Taylor Swift to me as I casually hold her Grammy for fearless as I casually talk to her in her apartment (sic)”

And the group also took advantage of their host’s hospitality to study her likes and dislikes.

One fan revealed on Twitter: ”So I looked at the DVDs she had in her TV room. Friends with benefits, Bambi, frozen, law and order SVU…(sic)”

Taylor Swift and Lorde took part in a joint cookery lesson yesterday (11.08.14).

The ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ hitmaker and her 17-year-old BFF both took to their Instagram accounts to reveal they spent the day cooking up a storm in Rhode Island.

In a message attached to a picture of the pair concentrating on their creations, Taylor wrote: ”Thank you to Chef Jeanie at Ella’s Fine Food and Drink for giving us the best and only cooking lesson (sic)”

Lorde also posted a picture of the pair preparing what looked like tacos and she praised Taylor’s superb cooking ability.

She captioned the image: ”took a wonderful cooking class in rhode island alongside the already-super-good-cook, ms.@taylorswift (sic)”

The pair often post pictures of each other on their social networking sites and the ‘Royals’ hitmaker recently praised her 24-year-old pal for being an ”incredible role model”.

She explained: ”I think there are artists who are really incredible role models and that’s something I admire. I feel like Taylor is a really good role model and I think that the girls who listen to her music are so devoted to her, and I think what she’s saying is pretty cool. It’s empowering.

”If we have the same work problems, we know each other’s lives better. It’s always good befriending people who do a similar thing.”

Taylor Swift donates $50k to children’s cancer hospital

Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to a children’s hospital in Philadelphia.

The 24-year-old singer has given the large sum of money to The Children’s Hospital in Pennsylvania to help fund a music program for youngsters suffering from cancer.

The specialized scheme promises to lift the spirits of young sick patients by allowing them to create and produce their own music during their treatment.

The CEO of the medical center, Steven M. Altschuler, said: ”Taylor Swift’s gift will help lift the spirits of many patients during a difficult time. Taylor Swift’s music is an inspiration to so many of our teen patients.”

Lamia Barakat, director of the Psychosocial Services Program at the cancer center, added: ”We can think of no better way to use her gift than to grow our Adolescent and Young Adult initiative designed to support the emotional well-being of our teens with cancer.”

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty is currently busy with her ‘Red Tour’ but was forced to cancel her upcoming concert in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 9 as the Far East nation is under military rule following the army’s coup last week.

Taylor was deeply saddened by her cancelled concert and took to Twitter to express her regret last week, tweeting: ”I’m sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I’m so sad about the concert being cancelled.”

Taylor Swift has found herself a surfer boy.

The ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ warbler has reportedly moved on from One Direction stud Harry Styles with Hawaiian surfer John John Florence – nicknamed JJ – who she first met on a trip to Australia last November.

A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: "Taylor really hit it off with JJ when she was in Oz. She thought he was great fun, but it was around the same time she reignited her romance with Harry Styles, so she put it on a back-burner.

"Taylor got in touch with JJ when she split from Harry and they went on a date when he was in America. Taylor and JJ both travel a lot for work but have planned a second date this month."

Professional surfer JJ appeared to confirm rumors the pair were dating when he was recently quizzed about their budding romance at a sporting event in Queensland, Australia.

He confessed: "Yeah, you know, it’s kind of a secret thing going on right now. Can’t bust it out in the public just yet."

The 20-year-old sports star is the youngest person to have won the Vans World Cup of Surfing, and has a cameo role in Owen Wilson film ‘The Big Bounce’.

An insider added: "Taylor seems extremely keen on JJ. He’s quite different to anyone she’s dated in the past, and while he’s in the spotlight, it’s his prowess as a surfer that she admires."

The 23-year-old blonde is famed for her ability to bounce back from a relationship quickly and was recently linked to BRIT Award-winning musician Tom Odell. She has previously dated Conor Kennedy, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner and John Mayer.

Talking about her colorful love life, the singer recently lamented: "I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever, or have a family or be on my own."

Taylor Swift dating Ed Sheeran

Taylor Swift is dating Ed Sheeran.

The ’22’ singer first romanced the ‘Lego House’ hitmaker last March but they broke things off to focus on their careers and now they have decided to give things another go.

Sources say they grew close again after Taylor split from One Direction’s Harry Styles, who is a good friend of Ed’s.

One told The Sun newspaper: "Taylor has always loved Ed to bits. He’s just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel really confident.

"Harry had that irresistible bad boy thing but Taylor has realised she would rather give it a go with a guy who can make her happy on a different level."

According to US reports, Taylor and Ed spent the night together before last month’s BRIT Awards, staying up talking until 4am at Taylor’s London hotel.

Ed was spotted leaving the hotel the next day in the same clothes he had been wearing the night before.

Last December, Ed said he thought he was not good looking enough for Taylor.

He insisted: "We had great fun when we met, but I don’t think I’m Taylor’s type.

"If you look at all the dudes she’s dated, they’re all tall, brown hair, brown eyes, very attractive and all the girls scream for them. I’m chubby, ginger with blue eyes."

However, Taylor has previously said: "I like people with red hair. I would do a ginger."

Taylor Swift mocks Harry Styles?

Taylor Swift appeared to take a swipe at Harry Styles at last night’s (02.10.13) Grammy Awards.

The 23-year-old singer opened the awards ceremony with a circus-themed performance of her recent single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ and mocked the One Direction singer – who she split from earlier this year – as she ad-libbed during the song.

Using a British accent, she sang: "So he calls me up and he’s like, ‘I still love you,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, I’m busy opening up the Grammys’. And we’re never getting back together, like, ever."

Taylor wasn’t the only star to cause a stir on stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Kelly Clarkson made the audience laugh with her speech when she picked up the trophy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2012 record ‘Stronger’, in which she admitted she never expected to win the prize and paid tribute to her "sexy" fiance Brandon Blackstock.

She said: "I got stuck to Miranda Lambert. There’s a story and a song. For later, after alcohol. I’m just kidding, children. I get nervous speaking in front of people.

"I didn’t know I was going to win because I literally, I was so excited to be in a category with Fun. I have been covering you all summer. I’m sorry, I love that song. I think it’s so awesome. I love Pink. Everyone – Adele – that I was in a category with. Miguel, I don’t know who the hell you are, but we need to sing together. I mean, good god, that was the sexiest damn thing I’ve ever seen. What? Anyway, thank you so much, friends, family, label, my manager Narvel [Blackstock, Brandon’s father], my fiancé, who is sexy tonight.

"I did not think I was going to win. Thank you!"

Kelly later performed ‘The Tennessee Waltz’ and (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’ as part of a tribute to Lifetime Achievement Award winners Patti Page and Carole King.
