T-Pain tells keyboard warriors to stop harassing Apex Legends developers

T-Pain has a message for unruly gamers: “y’all have to fucking chill out.”

The rapper tweeted the message in response to Apex Legends developer Respawn’s social media statement condemning the harassment that staff has been facing.

“Bro y’all have to fucking chill out. It’s a fucking game my dude. Play something else if you hate it so much bro. Walk away from your pc/console if you’ve become so consumed by a game that you feel the need to threaten the ppl that work hard to make it. Chill bro

On September 22nd, Respawn tweeted that it has recently “seen increased harassment towards members” of the development team. “We welcome community input, however, the line between constructive feedback and the harassment of our dev team cannot be crossed.” The developer said it has a “zero tolerance policy” towards this behaviour and promised to “take appropriate action to ensure the health and safety” of the team.

Many people quickly shared the post to express support for the developers and push back against the abuse, and now, T-Pain has done the same. The rapper is an avid gamer, streaming titles like Apex Legends regularly on Twitch.

Unfortunately, the issue of developer harassment has come up often, especially in the past few months. In the span of a week over the summerMonkey Island creator Ron Gilbert decided to stop publicly talking about his new game due to hateful messages over its art style, while a Sony Santa Monica developer reported receiving unsolicited “dick pics” to get her to confirm a release date for God of War: Ragnarök.

It should go without saying that none of this is acceptable, and you need to grow up if it’s something you do. As T-Pain himself said, “it’s a fucking game my dude.”

Macklemore uses Justin Bieber painting to control orgasms

Macklemore has joked he stares at his naked Justin Bieber painting to slow down his orgasms.

The 34-year-old rapper famously purchased artwork of the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker that features him using pancakes to cover his manhood on the online store Etsy last year, and has quipped that whenever he and his wife Tricia enjoy a love-making session he just takes one look at the picture on his wall to "control" the moment.

Appearing on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ on Thursday (16.11.17), the ‘Thrift Shop’ hitmaker said: "I’m very proud of it, and it’s become a huge headline. It’s like, ‘Macklemore owns a naked Justin Bieber d**k pancake painting,’ and it’s part of my thing now.

"So it goes right above my bed and whenever I’m with my wife intimately, I can always stare and if I want to control my orgasm, just slow it down."

Macklemore was joined on the sofa by fellow rap star T-Pain who responded: "I mean, that question has to be burned in his brain.

"If I had a picture of anybody with pancakes over their d**k, that would obviously be the start of the conversation."

Meanwhile, Macklemore is set to become a father for the second time in the next few months.

The musician announced that Tricia – with whom he already has two-year-old daughter Sloane – is pregnant with their second child in a unique Instagram video.

In the clip posted in September, the ‘Marmalade’ rapper said the pair would be finding out the sex of their child on camera by cutting open a gender reveal cake.

Typically, gender reveal cakes contain blue frosting inside if the baby is a boy, and pink for a girl, however Macklemore played a prank on his fans when he instead pulled out a piece of paper, which announced he would be adding an additional date to his tour in his native Seattle.

He said: "I woke up today, and I had an idea. You guys have been such a huge part of our lives, that I wanted to let you in on a little secret. Tricia is pregnant, and today we’re going to find out the gender of our child.

"We’re having a second night at Key Arena! Oh my god! Key Arena night two, tickets on sale tomorrow!"

The video then shared information about the extra show date, before Macklemore once again confirmed their happy news.

He added: "Tricia really is pregnant though."

Chance the Rapper’s birthday raises over $100,000 for charity

Chance the Rapper raised over $100,000 for his charity at his 24th birthday bash.

The ‘Cocoa Butter Kisses’ rapper put on a sold-out gig titled ‘Chance the Birthday’ at nightclub Studio Paris in Chicago on Saturday (16.04.17), which featured performances from fellow rap stars Ludacris and T-Pain, as well as, TV’s Big Bird from ‘Sesame Street’.

The hip-hop star donated the funds to Social Works, his nonprofit charity, which he set up "to empower the youth through arts, education, and civic engagement".

The big talking point of the party, however, was his fried chicken dinner meal bucket cake, which imitated fast-food restaurant Harold’s packaging along with a drink of kiwi-strawberry Mistic.

Chance took to Instagram to share the sweet masterpiece on Instagram and thanked "God" for his blessed life.

He captioned the picture: "Thank God for the people in my life. I’ve had unimaginable & undeserving blessings in my 24 years here. I love you chicago, let’s see what we can do for this world (sic)"

Last month, Chance donated $1 million to public schools in Chicago.

The ‘No Problem’ hitmaker raised the funds through ticket sales for his tour in order to give children a "quality learning experience", and said the money came as a "call to action" for other companies operating in the city who he urged to follow in his footsteps.

Chance – whose real name Chancellor Bennett – said at the time: "I’m committed to help Chicago’s children have quality learning experiences that include the arts. As an artist and after-school teacher, I know the arts are invaluable. They teach kids lessons about how small efforts can have big effects and how collaboration can lead to creativity. This cheque is a call to action. I’m challenging major companies in Chicago and across the U.S. to donate and take action."

He went on to state he was "doing everything [he] can to support Chicago’s most valuable resource, its children".

At the time, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) had a $215 million funding gap, and Chance has been imploring corporations and celebrities to come together to help donate whatever they can to the cause.

The musician also said for every $100,000 donated to CPS, his organisation SocialWorks will give $10,000 to a school of their choosing to be used on developing their arts departments and after school activities.

T-Pain’s cartoon special

According to Billboard, rapper/producer T-Pain recently finished work on a new Nappy Boy All Stars mix tape and his latest album, RevolveR.

Fans discovered another one of his projects last night (March 7). He created and co-produced an hourlong cartoon special, Freaknik: The Musical, on Adult Swim. That is a cable TV network for 18+ that shares channel space with the Cartoon Network.

The show Freaknik: The Musical is about the revival of a wild and raucous music festival that took place in Atlanta, Georgia in the early 80s to late 90s.

Several stars lent their voices to this project, including Rick Ross, Young Cash, Snoop Dogg, Sophia Fresh, Lil Wayne and Charlie Murphy.

T-Pain will play the role of the Ghost of Freaknik past, spoofing the Charles Dickens classic.

He told Billboard.com, "There’s so many more dimensions you can cover in a cartoon. You don’t really have to deal with any actors; you don’t have to get locations or set times. You can just express more … and it’s funny as hell."
