Horrible tragedy strikes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Terrible news out of the National Football League this afternoon.

The 2-year-old daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett named Arrayah passed away this afternoon, having drowned in the family swimming pool. The child would be rushed to a hospital, but would sadly be unable to be revived.

Police are conducting an investigation into the incident, but all indications point to this simply being a tragic accident.

The Buccaneers released the following statement:

“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”

What a heart-wrenching tragedy. We send our thoughts and prayers to the Barrett family as they now have to cope with this unthinkable situation.

Police ordered to arrest controversial ex-WR Antonio Brown!

It almost seems like there can’t be a single week without former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown generating some controversy. Several months ago, it was the disturbing video of him exposing himself to shocked hotel guests in a swimming pool. It wasn’t too long after that he went after his former teammate Tom Brady’s wife!

Of course, Brown found himself on the wrong side of the law when police showed up at his home to detain him stemming from alleged domestic abuse issues. More shocking allegations were released from the woman who accused Brown of domestic abuse – she says that he sent explicit video of himself to her son.

And now, Brown is in even more legal trouble. A judge has ordered police in Florida to arrest him over unpaid child support to ex Wiltrice Jackson.

Per TMZ:

“According to court documents, the order was issued by a Miami-Dade Coun ty, Fla. judge on April 14 … after Brown had allegedly ducked payments that he had been required to make to his ex, Wiltrice JacksonThe Broward County Sheriff’s Office has been in receipt of the order … a BCSO spokesperson confirmed on Friday morning.”

This is only the latest incident in which Brown has run afoul of the law.

Rob Gronkowski sounds off on potential NFL return!

It was officially the end of an era as announced last summer for tight end Rob Gronkowski, who said that he was finished in the National Football League after having played 11 years and winning four Super Bowl titles with his friend Tom Brady with the New England Patriots and later the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As everyone remembers, it was Tom Brady who decided to call it a career early last year, only to do a complete 180 and change his mind and return for one final season; it wouldn’t be long before his marriage would crumble. There were also rumors and whispers that Gronkowski could elect to try and mount a comeback as well.

However, what is Gronk thinking right now? Don’t count on a return to action.

“There’s no chance anymore,” he recently explained with regards to a possible comeback. “I’m happily retired.”

“I beat my brother, Chris, who plays with pros, and my other brother, Gordon, who plays with pros too!” he said. “And I beat ’em with an average Joe — my other brother, Glenn G., was my partner!” “So,” he added, “I’m happily retired. I’m still competing, I’m still winning, so I don’t even need to go back to football.”

There you have it. We’ve apparently seen the last of Rob Gronkowski in the NFL – and it’s really too bad, considering that he’s one of the most entertaining and fun personalities that professional sports has seen in recent memory! We certainly wish him all of the best in his retirement.

Antonio Brown finally admits he was wrong!

And now, more shocking allegations have been released from the woman who accused Brown of domestic abuse – she says that he sent explicit video of himself to her son.

All of this followed his bizarre quitting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season in the middle of a game, which came on the heels of even more diva-like behavior throughout his NFL career.

It appears as though he finally figured out that he was wrong all these years thinking that he was supposed to be the center of attention amongst all of his teammates. Brown, who is now a team owner after buying a stake in the Albany Empire of the National Arena League, took to Twitter this weekend to write the following:

As a owner I finally see now why it’s important to make everyone know no one is bigger then the Team ‘! As a player I always thought opposite !”

Hey, it’s a step in the right direction for the controversial former wide receiver. Let’s hope he takes the ball on this new humility mindset and runs with it.
