Taylor Swift donates $100,000 to family of Kansas City victim

Taylor Swift has made a generous donation to help the family of the victim of the senseless shooting that marred the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City.

Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a 44-year-old DJ with Kansas City radio station KKFI, tragically lost her life during the celebrations.

Two contributions of $50,000 enabled the fundraising campaign to far exceed its initial goal of $75,000. Swift added a personal message with her donation.

Lopez-Galvan was hosting a local radio show as she and hundreds of thousands of other fans celebrated the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory. Gunfire erupted, injuring more than 20 people, including three members of this family. This campaign aims to help her family cope with this tragedy.

Nine children were also injured in the incident, which occurred during a rally at Kansas City’s Union Station on February 14, a crowd of nearly a million people celebrating their team’s victory. When shots were fired, the event quickly took an unfortunate turn.

Local law enforcement was immediately mobilized. Kansas City police confirmed the arrest of three suspects.

Two of them are minors who will be charged as adults by the district attorney.

Taylor Swift wants you to stop following her private jet

Taylor Swift wants you to stop following her private jet, but more precisely a certain student in Florida.

Taylor Swift’s legal team sent an injunction to Jack Sweeney, a Florida University student known for monitoring the movements of celebrities’ private jets on social networks.

Sweeney, the same man who previously tracked Elon Musk’s private jet, uses public data from the Federal Aviation Administration. He posts real-time information on flights, their environmental impact, and other relevant topics, attracting media attention.

Swift’s lawyers have asserted that Sweeney’s reports cause Swift direct and irreparable harm, emotional distress and physical discomfort, as well as constant fear for her safety.

Sweeney’s action is seen from different angles. For some, it raises awareness of the environmental impact of celebrity jet use, a particularly poignant point in the context of the global climate crisis. According to a study conducted by a marketing company, Taylor Swift would be the celebrity who would emit the most greenhouse gases by private jet in 2022.

Her representatives denied this claim, saying that her jet was often on loan.

Privacy and security are also of concern. Swift’s experience of stalkers visiting her home has heightened concerns about real-time data sharing. A Swift spokeswoman commented on the implications of aircraft tracking. She suggested a correlation between Sweeney’s messages and incidents of harassment.

Sweeney defends himself by claiming that his actions no more violate privacy than any other public event or schedule indicating that a celebrity is in the area, such as a sports event or tour schedule.

This debate touches on the right to privacy, freedom of information and environmental responsibility. Swift’s lawyers argue that tracking their client is a matter of life and death, while Sweeney’s legal representatives consider it an important issue of transparency.

Taylor Swift adds more concert dates in Canada!

Will you be going to see Taylor Swift on these new dates?

Singer Taylor Swift will please many fans, as she has just announced additional dates in Canada.

The artist, who had been criticized for not adding dates in Canada, currently has six concert dates in Toronto, at the Rogers Centre, from November 14 to 23, 2024.

Now it’s Vancouver’s turn to welcome Taylor Swift to BC Place for three dates from December 6 to 8, 2024, with Gracie Abrams as opening act.

Unfortunately, Montreal is still not on the list… perhaps other dates will be added later, who knows?

Taylor Swift breaks a record with her film-concert The Eras Tour!

She surpasses a certain Justin Bieber.

The great pop singer Taylor Swift never ceases to impress with one hit after another.

While her Eras Tour, which pays tribute to all her albums, is the most expensive the star has ever done, fans flock to her extravagant concerts.

Many of the concerts took place in sold-out stadiums, and we’ll remember that it was quite a deal to get even a single ticket!

Then Swift decided to take her concert to the movies!

And that’s how the film-concert featuring her show from The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert film of all time, raking in $96 million at the North American box office in its first weekend in theaters.

Wow!

Taylor Swift’s film thus ranks first in the history of the genre, ahead of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which grossed $73 million.

For fans of the genre, note that Beyoncé is also planning to release her film-concert Renaissance during the month of December!

Rumors have been circulating ever since Demi Lovato’s announcement, but now it’s Ariana Grande’s turn to part company with her agent, Scooter Braun.

According to TMZ, the singer is no longer following Braun on social networks, which perhaps implies a bigger dispute than officially declared by both parties!

Indeed, something is clearly going on…

That’s because in addition to Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande, Carly Rae Jepson, J Balvin and Idina Menzel have also reportedly left Braun of late, so many are wondering if all his sudden departures are hiding something serious.

But according to Scooter Braun, it’s more that he found himself in negotiations with several clients as he would like to withdraw from the day-to-day management of his artists.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will now come near you!

Those who haven’t managed to get their hands on the precious (and expensive!) tickets for Taylor Swift’s recent The Eras Tour will soon be able to see the entire show everywhere, but… at the cinema!

Nothing scares the Swifties, and we can only imagine that when the concert hits theaters on Friday, October 13, they’ll be out in force!

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” the star announced on X (Twitter).

Impressive sales are already expected for the cinema screening of The Eras Tour, and Taylor Swift suggests her fans have a great time this way:

“Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!!”

Taylor Swift snubs Canada again!

Taylor Swift’s Canadian fans are clearly looking forward to seeing her live, and while the singer has just announced a series of international concerts as part of The Eras Tour, many Canadians have taken to social media to express their frustration at once again being left out in the cold!

While this announcement should have been a joyous one for the star’s fans at first, the hashtag #CriesinCanadian quickly reappeared on Twitter in protest from her Canadian fans, along with several other viral terms, starting with Where Is Canada!

“I had hopes for possible dates in CANADA but I guess not… #CriesinCanadian 😭,” one fan of the star sadly tweeted on Twitter.

“I’ll be right back… #CriesinCanadian #Taylorswiftconcert,” wrote another.

Even McDonald’s Canada joined the protest!

“So, I thought the #CriesinCanadian hashtag was because a famous Canadian icon passed away or something, but nope, just people sad that Taylor Swift’s tour isn’t coming here,” noted one Twitter subscriber, who surely also thinks there are more important things than that!

One of Taylor Swift’s three cats has risen to near the top of the world’s most lucrative pets with an estimated net worth… of $97 million! 😮

The star’s cat named Olivia Benson found herself in third place in AllAboutCats’ ranking that released the ultimate list of the world’s richest and most influential pets, surpassing Oprah’s pets who got the fourth position in the ranking.

The lovely Olivia is also featured in several of the singer’s music videos and in several commercials, including one for Diet Coke. Olivia (and Swift’s 2 other cats) even have their own collection of merchandise!

Anyway, like it or not, Olivia Benson also contributes to fill Taylor Swift’s portfolio!
